I try to shut mine off (I just got it.) and it doesn't seem to shut off. It keeps running bluetooth across the screen and other stuff. What am I doing wrong? The paper instructions don't tell me a whole lot. TY
Thanks for the review. I wonder if you can tell us about how reliable this has been, especially wonder if the CD player still works? My experience with CD systems is they start skipping/hanging up ect after a while and you're stuck with an expensive am/fm radio.thanks
It's held up very well. The CD system still whines really bad, and I still expect it to have issues eventually, but luckily it's been working fine so far.
I the only thing I would change would the the tray Make it round shape, where you could randomly put and play five CDs, instead of the same CD random songs. This is an updated sharp system from the one I had in the earlier 2000s. Still loving though on paid $245 on Amazon sale, but I had to wait a month.
Hi there, I bought mine some months ago; I have a question, some of my tapes sound like they are magnetized or maybe the head is dirty, I have cleaned up the head with alcohol and still some tapes sound like they're magnetized, some others sound great, Have you experienced this? Thanks in advance ;)
@@IbanezRG10 I tried a few tapes and they all sound the same to me, quality-wise. I wonder if you can still buy head cleaning cassettes? Like off Amazon maybe?
@@Films128 I think I found one on Amazon and it says it's a Head Cleaner & Demagnetizing Tape, thanks a lot, I'm gonna try to buy it and I'll let you know. THANKS A LOT.
Question to anybody in the know? I bought this player not too long ago, and was wondering if this plays pregap/“negative” songs without damaging the player? I own two albums with “0” tracks on them and would like to know if those songs could be played?
After researching, I asked for and received this system for Christmas a couple of years ago. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! As someone said, what's the point of random play if it's on the same disc? My main "need/Want" was the ability to be able to shuffle and play random tracks over the 5 discs for a variety of music. This system does not do that! Everything the reviewer said is true, cons: very short speaker wires, it's pretty heavy and is definitely not "mini", radio stations difficult to get, I can only get 1 local station. I can work around these cons but I can't get around the ability to NOT play each disc and its tracks at random. I would not have asked for this system if I had only known what Sharp's definition of "random" play is.....I have 100s of cds I can only play 1 disc at a time......may as well stick with vinyl or cassettes!!!!
I had a stereo like this. Except it was white. It had that whiny like noise with the cd thing. About several years into having it the cd part messed up on it
Very strong clean bass. Plenty of power for garage. Could even buy a little extra speaker wire and put the speakers on both sides of the garage for a nice even full sound!
Looking in to buying one of these soon. How is the audio quality while playing vinyl through the aux port? I tried with my Panasonic SB-AK18 and the kick drum is almost nonexistent, which was disappointing because the cd quality on that unit is great.
The stereo sounds good but the problem is with the Bluetooth I don’t know why when I turn the system off the Bluetooth is remaining standby and in this way any other system can be connected even if is your neighbor and is just stars playing music from another device is very annoy
I just found this video, and I am having the same problem as you are. Last night, as I was playing a CD, it even cut off my CD to play whatever someone else was using with their Bluetooth. Have you found out any solutions yet?
@@korruption6 The last one of these that I had, it only lasted a year, would also turn itself back on, even when it was powered off. I used to have to unplug the unit whenever I went to bed or went anywhere.
@@Films128 thanks I'm back into buying this. Hope the price drops for black Friday. How long ago did you buy it and if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it? Is the CD player still in working order?
@@knightrcer I bought it July of 2017. I bought it on Amazon and took the risk of an "open box" item from a 3rd party seller, for $103.99 according to purchase history. Everything still works fine, no issues at all. CD fine, still whiny as ever when shuffling through the disks, but no issues.
films128 ok does you’re saying it does have the two input jacks on the back? That would tell me it has a pre-amp built in I think, for a turntable, eg.
@@m.miller2374 No. There's just the auxillary jack on the front. That's it. Only ports on back are for speakers, and you're am/fm antennas. There are no other inputs, no line level connections. I run my turntable through the auxillary port because my turntable has a built-in line level preamp.
