Jacob’s line of the day! “Prison craftmanship is high quality stuff!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
To be fair though, the wooden carving was well made
".....let us know if prison was fun." 😲🤪
stop insulting the criminals
It was
It was rock n roll
i have to admit i am addicted to your videos
I know, right? This genuine little guy popped up on my home page two weeks ago doing well-curated videos on oddities and things, and I got hooked too. An infinite jest thus far.
every morning now i wake up and recite the words "heyy... you.... alll...carpetbaggerherecomingtoyouLIIIIVE"
Prison museums are so interesting.
Yap I live in Texas
Had no idea they even existed
I have always found prison art so amazing and creative. That furniture was beautiful. Hopefully that lead some to a useful life outside. Keep Safe❤Keep Well ❤
I’ve been to the prison museum before in Huntsville. It is very interesting to see all those things, but when I ran into old sparky, there was something that just would not let me stand to close it (even being behind the barricade). I normally don’t really get intimidated but something just kept me at a distance from that thing.
I detest capital punishment. Its very frightening to see. Maybe that's what kept you away.
I went two days ago and I didn't get close to it. Just 361 people getting killed in that chair 😲
I remember a cartoon that had Ol Sparky as A chair for the Mother In-law.
Who’d think prisoners could be so talented? It’s such a sad waste. Thank you for bringing us such good videos Jacob 😊 I love watching these videos, not only can they be educational but they’re so fun too! Well done and keep up the good work Jacob xXx
Last time I checked they are humans but ok
@@devan1715 I didn’t say they were not humans. Some people in prison can be really nice.
@@devan1715 What's your point? She said it's a waste of talent, not that they weren't human bUt OkAy
@@FrenkTheJoy well how bout this engineer go to prisons for all their employees mhmm...
@Devan ?
When he goes in a museum , you know that its amazing before start play on the video 📲
Obviously the big attractions that draw a huge crowd are cool, but these quiet less inhabited attractions are always my favorite 😊
The prison rodeo section reminds me of the film Stir Crazy,
I am saddened by this video because my son was wrongly imprisoned there for 15 yrs and finally exonerated in 2001.
I'm so sorry ...and sorry doesn't even begin to describe how that feels...
I’m sorry about that
Wow I'm so sorry. I hear about exonerations all the time following the ACLU on social media. I think about how many innocents are in jail because cops and detectives just want a good closed case ratio.
I can't even begin to imagine the pain you, your son, and your family went through. There's so much corruption within the police - it's the same here in the UK. Love to you all from England ❤️
So sorry this happened to your son. I can't imagine the mental pain and anguish you and your family went through during that difficult time. God bless you and your family.
Love to see your take on the Alcatraz east crime museum in Tennessee. Went there recently, it was great! They have prison history, as well as the history of forensics!
He has a video on that. He is the reason I went there 3 years ago.
Imagine playing Prisonopoly as a prisoner and going to Jail in the game
Carpetbagger, Thanks for something New on a Monday Morning..
5:55 as someone who used to work at one of those prisons in Huntsville, it does not surprise me that camera was used up to 1991. Texas budget for TDCJ is low, the uniforms suck, the equipment is cheap, guns are vietnam era. It's ridiculous.
Good morning Jacob, these are the things we want to see.Simply brilliant. And also the tone of your voice between some sentences, priceless.👍🇺🇸
We just moved from Huntsville there's actually 7 prisons I worked at Ellis, Walls and Ferguson units we loved going all the time take a walk across from the Sam Houston State University and youll see the duck pond on Sam Houston ave is the Sam Houston Museum he's buried by the Mance Park school on 10th and don't forget to go stand at the Statue of Sam be safe be good and keep traveling bro
You ask if you would let your baby sleep in a Bassinet carved buy a murder .how do we know our everyday Items we buy we’re not put together or made by murderers rapists ...
From what I know, these “arts n crafts” made by inmates that are low level prisoners. Levels 3 n up (murders n Etc.) Don’t have the privilege to do things like that 💁🏻♀️💁🏻♀️💁🏻♀️ don’t be so quick to assume.
Thank You Jacob. I will visit this place in the future. I worked in a state prison here in Delaware for 26.5 years.
Thank you for the tour!!
Kinda messed up how they underplayed prison tho. Makes it seem more like timeout than hell.
What do you mean underplayed, the museum is partially meant to show how bad prison is. For example you can go inside the replica cell and feel how uncomfortable the beds are.
@@jacksonhester163 I think they might be talking about things like human rights abuses that still occur in jails very commonly to this day. Inmates still get beat by COs, they also face retribution by COs in the form of contrived "shots" which can extend prison stays, and they also get murdered in jail plenty when it's the CO's jobs to keep an eye out and make sure everyone's safe.
Great video. Very interesting stuff. Thank you for showing it; love your style.
Loving all these Texas videos! Giving us some great trip ideas🤔 keep ‘em coming! 🎃💀❤️
Love your content love the variety of videos love getting to visit thru your videos thanks for sharing with us.
Excellent!! Simply great!!! Thanks Jacob. Necessity is the mother of invention, imagine when it reaches levels of survival. No limit.
Torn handcuffs, who did this, the frinkin incredible Hulk lol
Fascinating stuff. That constant pulsating electric noise is a little unsettling though.
Years ago, a friend of mine, who was a prison Barber, witnessed a murder by stabbing, in the Barber Shop. The inmate used a handmade knife to commit the murder. Needless to say, my friend walked out and never returned to the prison.
No wonder the barbers are now other inmates!
Very interesting video, thank you Jacob
Stunning crafted items. Very sad really. Thanks Jacob
Fascinating video!
Theres a channel called 42 years in straight , this man is a walking Texas prison museum, its a fascinating channel
Thanks carpet bagger!!.. From Sheffield UK! 😎🤗 love ya vids!
Thanks, a very great and informative video.
FUN FACT:
Jacob turned 21 in prison, doin’ life without parole. No one could steer him right.
But momma tried
wait who is jacob again?
I used to visit a friend of mine who went to prison for five years for driving drunk because he hit a state trooper car after leaving a birthday party in 1982.
Takes me back to my days at Sam Houston State University. Good times visiting the museum.
Love your videos
Wow, totally interesting again, thanks for letting me watch! 🌟🌟🌟
I've been to this museum before. Nice.
Love your channel, subscribed!
I work in Huntsville and I’ve never actually been, lol. So neat to see Jacob in my town!
Lots of cool history and weapons
What a great video Jacob, really enjoyed the chair 🪑 over 300 that’s so creepy to see that.Thans again Jacob for sharing
Great video!
Omg your on my side of town! I love that museum too! Make sure too check out the Sam Houston memorial museum as well! I worked in Ellis as a Correctional Officer for about a year. My husband still works as a Correctional Officer at Eastham and has been one for the past 10 years now.
You + are = you're. To* ("too" means "as well as" or "an excess of").
@@englishatheart hi cc
I went to college at Sam Houston State there in Huntsville. Was hoping you might show some of the town. Good video.
Thanks
Thanks you my friend have a goodnight
It makes sense that prison craftsmanship is good - I mean, what else are they gonna do? They have a lot of time to work on it. Plus I imagine there's a lot of really crappy prison artwork that just gets tossed.
I’ve been to that museum. Very interesting to say the least
I love when he says specifically, and even more specifically then that!
My favorite type of videos
Jacob you are the best always entertaining love from Toronto Canada!!
I live in texas you should post a schedule of where your gonna be. It would be dope to meet you
I’ve not been to prison, but did a few months in county. That cell gave me major flashbacks. Those are the exact hotspots we had.
This is so cool and awesome
I been to prison in ga and I seen and learned things I thought you would only see in the movies
Like what? I'm genuinely curious
Hi carpetbagger thats awesome Prison place it has cool things in there
The question about the bassinet was a loaded one. The answers could go in so many different directions
Since your wondering around Texas, you should come to Sulphur Springs and visit the Dairy Museum and our Glass bathrooms.
I litterally was in Huntsville yesterday and asked my mom to go here and she said no. I almost met you
My son got 50 in Texas at 19. He has 19 years down in May.
Killed someone?
Yes
I’ve been here before and it was fascinating
The model of “leather restraints” in the display case are still used in many areas, one of which is on lethal injection gurneys.
The Humane Restraint company, in Wisconsin if I recall, made/makes these.
Where I work I had to repair some of these after years of service. They are very solid, yet relatively soft; humane…
Good episode!
Yaaaay im here early for a change! Love these videos 🤩
That ship is super cool
I live near that. Its It's pretty cool to go see how things used to be.
Unique thing is I used to do EMS out of S.C.I.G. Or State correction institute at graterford! I used to do emergency transportation It was a interesting time . Love ❤️ your video’s!
Wow six prisons that’s a lot for one city.
HuntsVegas!
The Walls Unit aka death chamber is located 2 blocks from Sam Houston State University. Walked over for one execution, quite interesting to watch news folk/protests outside.
I think the "telescope" was a nozzle for a hose.
Epic Destination 💪 County and Regional Jails are bad enough , that will hopefully be the extent of my 🔒 up days. That Bonnie N Clyde gun was gorgeous man.
Hello from Tyler Texas!
Very interesting museum. I loved the beautiful furniture the prisoners made. Yes. Id love to have it in my home however the electric chair is the one furnishing I do not want. Loved the Karla Faye Tucker stamp. Would love to get one. She did not deserve to die. She was reformed for sure.
Dose Prisonopaly include a get out of jail free card?
These places are so interesting. Ive been to Alcatraz East after seeing your video on it. I myself have never been in prison but ive had family members who have and my son has had a few friends who have been locked up; some with 2 and 3 numbers. We dont know what kind of items we use daily that may be made in the U.S. prison systems.
Kentucky has their license plates made by prisoners as well.
Especially considering that more than a few were innocent.
I say you got to watch the after prison show it`s a great RUclips channel !
Yes I have been to prison in Missouri, Fulton, st Joseph, bowlingreen, Farmington, moberly, Jefferson city, it was not fun but I did have some decent friends and had good and bad memories..
Jacob, Huntsville Texas is my hometown 👍👍👍
I've been here before. I bought a prison-made wallet, I used it for 5 years. Still have it, it was really well made
Wow! Hey Jacob you should come back to Idaho and tour the Old Idaho Penitentiary in Boise. Bet you'd find it fascinating.
I went to college in Huntsville! My first year dorm was about a block away from Walls, where they execute! You could hear the sirens all the time, it was crazy. Later on I ended up living down the street from the cemetery where they bury the prisoners lol
I painted the bonnie and clyde ,with coffee, in the video top right corner when he showed the art.
I watched this right after I smoked... 🤣🤣 The person in the tower, I thought was real! 🤣 I smiled and waved, then realized he wasn't moving. 😂🤔😂😂
Prison art goes back a long way. There's an episode of the British show 'Time Team' where they investigate Normal Cross, a Napoleonic POW camp, and see some of the items the prisoners made out of bone. They're gorgeous.
Have you been to Wheels of Time Museum in Dunlap IL? Cool Museum featuring old cars and relics of the past
HEY, JACOB WOW
This was a good Vlog I enjoyed it immensely
ps, I did 3 years did not enjoy it
We don’t mess around in Texas!
YIKES !!! And I live in Texas too.
I live in Texas yet I have not been here yet sound fun might go check it out soon it’s a 3 day walk so off I go
That STEAMPUNK shot gun was a 6 barrel sawed off shot gun . It was made in METAL-FAB by an inmate at the coffield unit . When the found it it was loaded with 6 rounds of 00 buck shot .
8:54 - Looks like someone got inspired after reading about Ned Kelly.
I've been there before it was a great experience 😉
I like the animated rat in the beginning 😂🤣😂😆
What a coincidence, I'm in Huntsville too
And they say Disneyland is the happiest place on earth
"And your buddy gets to watch you take poops". lol! Love it!
