I like the opinion by Sudha ji. But dresses are wore based on comfortability, weather and the condition where they are working in. Some types of job are hard to do while wearing saree. Nothing against saree, in fact women look beautiful in sarees, again situation and the more importantly weather( cold countries) is the factor in deciding what to wear
