It's blatantly obvious that some people just couldn't care less about the country and enjoy littering and seeing it looking a complete mess. Great work Gents you both deserve a medal 👏👍
Chilli I’m in Australia here our aluminium cans glass and plastic bottles along with cartons of juice and flavoured milk have a 10 c on their label with bar code. In parking lots near super markets and parks we have booths you put yr Tim in a hole in the wall it’s scanned. When you are done you can click a Botton to either get a voucher or donate to a charity. Ther voucher is usually from the sponsoring supermarket. So many folk go for walks just to collect the 10 c. Saves a lot going into land fill. So dosnt matter if u have 1 or a 10000 you can collect
Australia was once a penal colony. Wish it still was so we could send them all there ! Australia has progressed to a responsible country and sadly the Y(UK) has regressed. So wish we could adopt your system.
What a great idea, I have seen on another site where there are machines to give mobile phones for recycling with cash incentives. I wish all countries would do these small things to help our environment. We used to collect bottles for cash as children. Ma6be the land owners could Di security cameras and at least catch regular offenders. A shame them phot up nothing else.

The owner of the property certainly bears some responsibility, but if sacks of rubbish are continually dumped on their property there is only so much they can do. The fundamental root of the issue stems from the fact we now live in a 'broken' society.

There should no longer be a walkway through that area. The owner should be paying for the cleanup as they are obviously receiving money for parking customers😮. Best to you and your wonderfully inspiring friend. The local council members need to get out there and do some litter picking.😊

Hi Chilli You two are part of a garbage collection team as volunteers.😃😃👍 You've already been collecting garbage with your friend and now for the second time you're crazy about the garbage you've collected from there. Now all you have to do is get all the garbage out of the hedge a little further away like the mattresses and bar parts and garbage bags and the hedge have to be cut from the parking lot side then you can do that in the nest video ready for me ok
Sir Chilli, I do not know how the deposit program will work in England but I can tell you how it works here in Quebec Canada. Most cans and bottles, most sodas and alcohol (not plastic water bottles, also no large hard alcohol bottles ) and regardless of size are .10 cents each here. The items are marked "return for refund where applicable". Anyone can take any can even off the street and bring it to a machine where it gets scanned and crushed to get the deposit back. you hit a button on the machine that will print you a paper receipt with your total refund on it. Then bring it to the cashier to get your cash. There is no proof of purchase needed to collect the refund. We have tons of people, homeless, schools for fundraising etc collecting them and picking them off the streets. Thankfully I have never come across what you are dealing with in regards to that amount of bottles.

We didn't get everything the first time round, so that definitely adds to the new 25 bags, but I'm sure if we went back tomorrow we'd probably get quite a few more now!

Dirty nappies are the worst. They must weigh ten pounds. We have the same litter problem here in the U.S. There used to be anti littering commercials everywhere when I was a kid a long time ago but now I hardly see any.

Sad to see any rubbish let alone this much. I’m like Gerard, don’t drink either. Tried sips of various tipples when out with friends but don’t like the taste. Seems bitter to me. Anyway, I was the first of my friends to drive so have always been the designated driver.
Great job! Is that just layers upon layers of bottles, cans, trash and mulch? How far down does the garbage go? It looks like someone keeps covering up the trash with dirt and mulch. I’ll bet you could take that mound down to ground level before getting to the bottom of the trash.
I presume that land and car park belongs to the adjacent building. They are responsible for clearing it! Is there a way of approaching them to get bushes and trees cut back (health and safety when dark) a weekly litter pick, to stop litter accumulating, wouldn't take long. If they don't cooperate name and shame in local press/ area. Really makes me mad that local businesses won't do anything to improve the environment in which they operate. It's good PR for them if they do. Cheap, effective. What do visitors to their business think as they wade through the rubbish. Get a bin placed there?
At that point u have to think that is mental struggle. I have to assume their apartments/houses look the same. It would be better, when sb puts a big trash bin there. At least that. Or better two.
Oh, 100% there's a mental health aspect to this. It's why you don't hear me really talking about the human side of litter. They very clearly have problems and my comments on these faceless individuals aren't going to help the situation
i agree they likely have mental health problems, but i would guess cluster b personality disorders, maybe narcissism or antisocial pd. i doubt they are hoarders. my guess is they take better care of their own things and don't give a fuck about other people
