I've been a craftsman (maintenance man) at a prison for 11 years, and i have an around 10" wera flathead screwdriver that I've actually tried to break. It's been in my tool box for 8+ years and it's still going strong!!! I lifted an SMU door that weights between 300 and 350lbs, and i used that screwdriver and a hammer as a fulcrum and lifted the door high enough to attach it to the hinges. Still has the original tip and all!!! Those screwdrivers are tougher than a pine knot!!! A set that really surprised me is westward, from grainger( i did buy a set from Amazon years ago). I've had the same flathead, Phillips, and bit driver for 10 years!!! I'm thoroughly impressed with those screwdrivers too!!! Wera, wiha, and westward... best in the chain gang business!!! Lol
Tony, Also I ordered the following 1) Lisle 22800 Wheel Stud Installer at $22.90 and that is 31% off 2) OTC 6007 Lower Control Arm Prying Tool, for $11.99 and that is 60% off
Tony, On amazon I ordered the Capri Tools 1/2 in. Drive Stubby Impact Socket Set, Metric, 10 to 24 mm, 15-Piece for $39.19 a few days ago, and has not come yet but that that is 22% off.
I just got these from Amazon Sunplux 12-Piece Magnetic Screwdriver Set, 6 Phillips & 6 Flat Head Tips Go-Thru Steel Blades Screwdrivers, High Torque Heavy Duty Screwdriver Set with Case. So far they are working out pretty well. The magnetic tip could be a little stronger but for $30 they have exceeded my expectations.
I have the Tekton trilobe 12 piece set... I've had it for a few years and I love it they are are my go to drivers... I have a couple of the new Gearwrench that I really like too but the Tekton are great... I'm 50 years old and I have some arthritis in my hands but it hasn't been a problem with these screwdrivers
Have the Tekton hard handle stubbies at work. Probably my favorite stubby handles. Don’t have any of the regular hard handles, but do have the pick set with the same design. The handles are awesome.
My 'go-to; drivers are the Tekton Hard Handles. The Weras Are really nice in the hand too. BUT---- I picked up the Vessels PH1, 2 & 3 and wow--- they really are nice,. Like the Weras they do grab the fastener better, and I'm planning on getting more at various lengths
I have a nice full sunex set I got from home Depot for $30(!) with everything from tiny cabinet flatheads up through #4 phillips and a full set of torx drivers as well as a set of the full metal tang weras that lives on my service cart. I also added a #2 and #3 vessel impacta to the service cart since the wera phillips stuff didn't have a #3 or a longer #2. I keep a Klein set in my electrical kit. All have been great tools so far. I have a set of US made husky drivers in our kitchen junk drawer that are pretty decent as well but I don't think they sell those anymore.
I'm just an avid diy guy. I have 7 different sets of screwdrivers that I use some from each set several times a week. Carlyle has been my biggest disappointment. Here's my list from best to worst 1. Wera 2. Craftsman diamond tip 3. Goldblatt 4. USA craftsman 5. Carlyle 6. Milwaukee 7. Pittsburgh
I have the Tekton hard handle, and they're now my favorite screwdriver set. I used to like my old SK screwdrivers, but I go to the Tektons now. Do you like your Tekton screwdrivers better than the gearwrench? I never used the gearwrench screwdrivers before. I don't know too much about them
I got the USA-made Williams 100P-8MD on Amazon a few months ago for $62. The price fluctuates like crazy on those unfortunately, but if you can get them for less than $70 then I feel like they are pretty comparable to the Klein or the Southwire set that you showed (but with the Williams hard handles which I like).
are the 16 piece tekton hard handles (DRV42019) worth the money? I love the look of them and remind me of older snap on screwdrivers. im currently using the classic craftsmans. love these kind of videos
I find the wera screwdrivers to be the best i have. The laser etching makes them not cam out. My only complaint is i wish they made a master set that includes a ph3. They have so many sets but not one set with everything i want. So i have to buy a seperate ph3. My 2nd fav is tekton hard handle. And 3rd fav is the old classic craftsman usa.
I bought a wera set and complimented it with a vessel #3 impacta and a slightly longer vessel #2 impacta. I figured it would be nice for breaking loose crusty Phillips fasteners and would round out the wera set nicely. I'd love if wera had a set that dropped one of the smaller flatheads and added a #3 Phillips.
I just received a 4 piece set of Vessel screwdrivers, they look and feel amazing but I found a 12 piece set of Wera for $8 more so it’s hard not to get the Wera and return the Vessel. The handle design on the Vessel is really nice though! Tough decision!
Unfortunately every attempt to use Wera's warranty has been an absolute fail. According to them, driving bit head tools are considered consumables. So L keys, screwdrivers, the lot don't get covered. To the point I won't buy their tools anymore, which is unfortunate cuz they were nice when they lasted.

I like the Channellock acetate blue and clear handles and my kleins!

Very nice. That's awesome to hear. Glad you enjoy them also. I completely agree. Thanks for sharing

Very nice, great selection and the additions of the vessel with the wera screwdrivers is a good idea 👍
Good video. I like the texton screwdrivers the best,. Quinn are good also..

Hello again Tony
Thank you for another Great Video 👍
Thank you for watching. Hope you had a good week.
@TonyTheTechnician Hello again Tony
My week so far has been pretty good and very busy 😌
@@georgeferlazzo7936 nothing wrong with that. Glad to hear it.
Tekton needs to make the amazing feeling triangle handle screwdrivers with tang through!!
Agreed 👍 👍 👍

I do like the gearwrench but I prefer the tekton screwdriver more. Glad you enjoy them as well
Got a 6 pice SK set for a 110.00 early last year. There great.
Very nice 👌

Very nice and ya I was actually looking at those as well. Glad you enjoy them.

Yes I truly believe so. I really enjoy the handle design and quality
I find the wera screwdrivers to be the best i have. The laser etching makes them not cam out. My only complaint is i wish they made a master set that includes a ph3. Agreed I love my wera as well and your right they have a huge line up of sets but not really a mechanic specific set.
I bought a wera set and complimented it with a vessel #3 impacta and a slightly longer vessel #2 impacta. I figured it would be nice for breaking loose crusty Phillips fasteners and would round out the wera set nicely. Very nice. Good choices. Vessel makes some amazing screwdrivers
No Vessels? Sadge.
I actually have some videos coming out on alot of Vessel screwdrivers. They are probably my favorite screwdriver brand now
I just received a 4 piece set of Vessel screwdrivers, they look and feel amazing but I found a 12 piece set of Wera for $8 more so it’s hard not to get the Wera and return the Vessel. The handle design on the Vessel is really nice though! Tough decision!
Very nice and ya both are good choices. Which Vessel set did you go with
@@TonyTheTechnician the ball grip
No. 2204CS. I also have a set of the Megadora JIS 9008EVA. They’re all really nice.
@@TonyTheTechnician but now I just received a set of Wera Kraftform XXL 12 piece for $43 so I’m returning the Vessel 🥲. I paid $35 for those.
