Hey, nice custom! I’m looking to recreate this, so I have a few questions. 1. Did you paint the heel portion that had the heritage red with your mixture of red? 2. Is this mixture of red gonna match the 2015 Chicago perfectly? 3. Would just varsity red be good to match the 2015 chicago?
Thank you. 1. Yes, I paint the heel portion with my mixture of red. 2. I compare it with my homage to home and it is almost the same. 3. No, varsity red is too dark.
For 100% Chicago replica, absolutely! but i prefer fusion red just because of the outsole. I prefer black out sole because in my eyes all the colors are balanced. Even if you use black lace on a Chicago, there's just too much red for my liking. Light fusion red nails the chicago beater for me and for some reason, having less red makes the red pop more if that even makes sense.

For the white toe part should I use a mix of flat white paint with Angelus 2 thin or just the flat white by itself ? I saw a person customize their shoes like that
Both are ok, as long as you spread your paint evenly and as thin as possible per coat. I think they use that so it easily spread and less chance of uneven painting.

I don’t know the mixture for the heritage red but if you want to use the 30/70 ratio I used in my Chicago customs, just paint all red parts with it so it will be uniform.
i did my custom and i ran into an issue. i finished the custom and i wore them and i saw the white paint on the toe box was cracking and showing the red, how do i prevent this
1. Remove factory finishing by scrubbing cotton pads with deglazer or acetone. 2. Sand with sand paper (optional). 3. Paint with thin coats. 4. Allow to dry ( 15 minutes for air dry, few seconds if using heat dun or blow dryer). 5. Apply 1-2 coats of finisher.

Jerry what's good bro, I'm trying to correct some of the red on my heritage jordan 1's I'm customizing them to be breds. what is the best color match for the university red on the heritage or would it be best to use your 30 percent to 70 percent ratio you used here.
I don’t know the mixture for the heritage red but if you want to use the 30/70 ratio I used in my Chicago customs, just paint all red parts with it so it will be uniform.

Did you prep the shoes before painting?
@@jerry44sneakers yes
