Thank you for sharing this information about Yoga Trainings and your experience in India. Great tips before getting started on the journey to a 200 hour program. Thank you!
Nice .. it also depends which school you are going .. lot of schools have put their prices cheap so they can attract more students and they don’t hire experienced and qualified teachers. So when you choose schools it’s important to see the quality of the curriculum good schools are not cheap .
I would love to do my advanced training in Rishikesh! I was fortunate to visit there and take a class there as well as experience the pujas in Hardivar. This was a great video! Looking forward to seeing your whole adventure!
Aww thanks Charlotte! I LOVE making them and remembering the experience. I've got a couple more coming I hope! :) (and maybe one day a 300 hour :D) MISS YOU!
I love yoga! So glad you were able to go to India and have this experience then taking this & giving it to others. I know I didn’t really know before the difference types of yoga but had heard of many and was shocked that there were different types. I’ve always wanted to try Hot Yoga 🧘♀️
Ahh thank you for watching Shawnie! I've tried Hot Yoga - it's intense but a great workout. I am very grateful for the experience. And thank you for sharing yours!
Hi Victoria, your videos on your teacher training inspired me to book my stay at Drishti Yoga School, so thanks a lot for your impressions and tips! I was wondering which school in Rishikesh would be the best and watching your videos made me decide on them. Looking forward to this experience next March! All the best from Germany
Victoria namaste. Thanks for this informative vlog on your experience at that Yoga school. I've been mediating since 2009 and doing Haath yoga since 2013. I've been planning to do a Meditation and Yoga TTC for a couple of years. I've been to Rishikesh twice and the last time was last October 2023. Rishikesh is phenomenal from my experience. Is there TTC for meditation at that school you attended?
I just did mine online. I wished I had done it in person. It was more conventional to do from home but online I was one of 400+ students. I couldn't ask questions or clarificatuon. I contacted them, it felt like an abyss. A lot of it had to be the honor system. I didn't feel like I earned it and didn't get what I needed. For the 300 I will do in person only.
Thank you soo much for having such experience of india..it's really honor for me to see such wonde people like you for exploring our yoga life with others..🥰🙏🕉take care and god bless you...i am a big fan of your too..,🤗

Hi Victoria, I am looking for a yoga teacher training school in Rishikesh and to be honest, there are so much…I do not know how to ever decide! I heard that there are a lot of scams and I just want to make sure to enroll in an experienced school 🙏🏼 Were you happy with Drishti? They had some bad reviews about the food (flies on it, not hygienic,…). Thanks so much in advance. 🙏🏼 Franzi
I am a advanced kriya yogi from India, if you come to rishikesh again you can connect with me, I can help you guide it here and also can help you explore deep spiritual knowledge in rishikesh and India 🙂
Thank you for this video. I am interested in a vinyasa/Ashtanga Teacher training program there in India- is there a school you would recommend in particular? It’s so hard to find info online. Thank you in advance for your time.
Hello! I loved my experience at my school. But I would hesitate to recommend any one in particular because I think it really depends on what you're looking for. Something that can be helpful is find alumni of different schools and ask about their experience - Instagram is a good tool for that!
@@victoria_zee thank you for your input. I think this is a great idea However, I'm not using social media like Instagram at this time but ill reach out to various yoga studios and see what I can cull. thanks again

I really enjoyed this video and I am looking for a school in India to hopefully do my teacher training this year. I was sure I had already commented here but I can't seem to find my previous comment. Out of all the schools I've looked at so far all the students seem to be young white women. Have you found this to be so? This is not a racial comment as I myself am a young white woman from UK. I just wondered why you don't see more Indian students at Indian yoga schools? I'm sure there are but as I've said, every one I've seen so far is young white ladies. Obviously the only thing that really matters is that it is a good school but I just noticed this and thought is was odd, so I thought I'd ask.
This is SUCH a good question. I completely understand what you mean and I felt the same way getting my certification. I will say that at my school - Drishti Yoga School - we did have two Indian students. The rest were from the UK and the U.S. primarily. I think Rishikesh has become such a huge market for yoga schools for Westerners. I don't know exactly the answer to this but it's such a good conversation to have. Many of my teachers attended local universities where they received their master's in yoga - I imagine some Indian students go that route. I tried to find a school that was more traditional and I think Drishti is compared to some. But I agree it seems very challenging to find a school that's not all young white females.
@@victoria_zee Hey thanks for your reply. Yeah like I said I don't have a problem with it, it was just something I noticed and wondered why and I think you are right. I definitely want to go down the more traditional route too. I LOVED what you said about the yogic cleansing and it's definitely something I want to be part of my teacher training.
