I have a very hard time listening to people sing now days...there are so many who can't and they are famous...I quit listening to singers, and only listen to instrumental now, but every now and then I will get to hear somebody who can actually sing, but this man , wow, I can feel him in my bones when he sings! Such a gifted and wonderful singer...this is my all time favorite song in the whole world and I used to work on Daufuskie Island in Hilton Head, S.C. and I worked 12 hour shifts 2 days on and 2 days off....when we'd get off the boat, there was a restaurant bar and happy hour at the end of the pier, and this boy was playing an electonic piano at the bar for happy hour, and when I got off the boat and went into the bar he was playing Whiter Shade of Pale...I tipped him $5....and whenever I got off the boat and went in there and he was playing it, I tipped him $5,,,,then it got to when I got off the boat and walked in that bar, he would stop in the middle of whatever he was playing and start playing Whiter Shade of Pale and I would still tip him $5 immediately....he made a memory I will cherish forever.....

I JUST watched this for the first time! I was researching the meaning of the lyrics of this song by Procol Harum, because I have a nephew who plays trumpet and I thought it would be really beautiful for him to play this song. I came across this on RUclips by accident. And now I am teary-eyed. This was absolutely beautiful and amazing. What a great gift this man has. I guess I will research him now, and try to find what he's doing. I hope he was successful after this performance, or successful enough to support whatever career he wanted. I wish I had known about him, I wish that the public knew about him. I hope he is doing well.
Andreas doesn’t want a big career to earn the big money. It’s enough for him to be on stage even if only 10 people are watching. He was chosen to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest for Germany, which would have given his career a boom, but he gave up! In real life away from the cameras, Andreas is a very shy guy with very few stars, who just loves music and singing, nothing more and nothing less! Greetings from Germany

As good as Andreas Kümmert is there were at least two better voices in the Voice of Germany in 2011 (two years before): Charles Simmons and Butch Williams (both unfortunately lost in the battles - then the show was over for me)!

Ich würde sogar soweit gehen und sagen mit einer der besten Sänger die es gibt. Überragend was er mit seiner Stimme machen kann und dabei jeden Ton trifft. Denke aber er ist mehr der ruhige Typ und deswegen für die große Bühne nicht so geeignet. Aber so lange er glücklich ist, ist doch alles gut 👍

I love this guy! What is great about Germany's Voice is that they didn't change this guy's appearance or add special effects. They just let him be himself which is why he sounds just as amazing as his audition.

I have watched this clip at least 20 times. I can't get enough. I checked out his CD's, but none of them are cover albums, but I am sure they are very good; they have gotten great reviews. I just wish he would do a CD of the songs he performed on "The Voice." I am 62 and I said that I would never go to another concert, but I would break that rule for Andreas.

Der Gesang ,ist einmalig schön. Das beste ist, dass hier bewiesen wird,dass nicht nur Dreamboys &girls super gut singen können, sondern auch Menschen, die von ihrem Äußeren nicht die Masse zu bieten haben. Dies soll auf gar keinen Fall, Erniedrigend an kommen. Denn so ist es nicht gemeint. Nur leider werden Menschen, deren Aussehens nicht allen Normen (schlank,gut aussehend usw) aufweisen können, selten nach ihren Leistungen bewertet. Schade drum,Susan Boyle usw haben es bewiesen , dass man kein Dreamgirl /boy sein muß, um super singen ect zu können.
