This is the work of a true artist. Not only you can use your brain and pass experiences to imagine what to do when facing body work challenges, you can also easily execute it using your impressive manual skills. Just love it. René-Yves from Québec.
That bottle jack press was pure genius! I know people will say that with all the work you did you could have bought a better one. That's not why we do what we do. its about bringing them back or creating something from bits and pieces! Great video!
Wowsers! Amazing watching you bring that boogered grill back to life! Crazy how you were able to relieve the corner radius without tearing! The jig and the bottle jack was absolutely brilliant! I am absolutely awed by this! Incredibly inspiring stuff! Looks like Ben has a grill! Thank you! Go Bennetts Customs and crew, keep moving forward!
Wow!!!! At the beginning you say you don't know if you can even do this and 22 minutes later you have not only done it, but made tools and fixtures as well. Seriously, this is one of your best ever videos. The detail shots of the brass drift and t-dolly shows how the metal moves ever so slightly with each hammer blow. Just finessing it back to where it wants to be. Is this Ben's work? Good job capturing that, Ben! Thumbs up! The hydraulic jack with the fixture was pure genius. I bet if you had given it just a tiny bit more it would have sprung back to an even more perfect fit. I understand the patina stuff, but I would have to metal finish that piece to perfection and nickel plated it😎😎
Bloody brilliant, mate! Scrap metal to work of art. Saving sheet metal, one piece at a time. [From the brink of disaster, by the hands of a master. That's poetry!]
I didn't think you would be able to bring that one back from the grave, but you did without cutting it. Great job looks great. I think the bottle jack idea was genius.
Jordan 99.9 percent of hotrodders would have just given up and scrapped the grill shell but you are the 0.1 percent that has not only the skills and knowledge but some extreme patients to do one hell of a repair , you should be very proud of what you've done 👍👍👍👍👍
I could watch you unfold and heal abused antique automobillia all day long. Who ever knew that the banjo is the voice of metal forming. Loving the little slappin’ tool, what’s he called ???
Fantastic recovery Jordan. Gives me faith to try and recover a nose panel of our HQ race car. So many panels were just thrown away thinking they were too far gone. Now they are so hard to find. Using a combination of tips and tricks frow Wray Schelines flexible shape pattern, Karl's Hammer Jammer and Planishing Hammer and making a fixturer like you did on the bench- (mini Hydraulic rack) - I reckon we have a solution. Love the progress on Ben's roadster - just cot to see it completed.
Only problem with this video, people will now be asking 3k for rotted, broken, twisted, rust ridden, half in the ground grill shells now.. They will be like yes this can be saved just watch Bennett customs bring one back in like 20min Excellent work bud!
My absolute favorite metalworking projects start with the thought... "I dont know if I'm gonna be able to do this." So dang rewarding!
Outlet was a moment where it could have gone either way
Always such a pleasure to watch!! A real true craftsman!!!
Nice clean detailed work! Thanks for sharing!
love watching a craftsman at work brilliant job Jordan

Jordan, Jordan, he's our man... If he can't fix it no one can.
I could watch you unfold and heal abused antique automobillia all day long. Who ever knew that the banjo is the voice of metal forming. Loving the little slappin’ tool, what’s he called ???

absolutely stunning work - thanks - did you use special steel for the curved T dolly
How long did it take you to create a wonderful piece?
I’d say a full day plus. Hard to give exact hours as we filmed a lot during the process. Luckily it was all worth it
Хороший мастер
Jordan great metal work. I like tires on Bens Roadster it was first time I noticed them. Are they from America or England or Australia
