We bought a home here one year ago, to be closer to our children plus grandchildren, and absolutely love this town area.

You've hit on many of the wonderful features of living in the Woodstock, Virginia area, but I must point out that your photos of a Farmers Market and a skatepark are not in THIS Woodstock. I think the skatepark may be in Virginia Beach and the Market from Vermont, perhaps? Also, I doubt we have a colorful parrot like that unless it was a pet that escaped from someones home.

I live in Woodstock, Va. While I appreciate the video the video has some inaccuracies with alot of things in Woodstock va. We do not have a skate park, your pictures are old and outdated. We do not have any campgrounds, zip lines, or a farmers market that looks like that in the video, nor do we have a restaurant called Tuscany. Lord Fairfax Community College changed its name over to 2 years ago. Please update your information and be accurate. It is clear you've never visited here as all of your pictures are either stock or taken from websites and other people's personal photos. Please do better.

Wow thanks! I think our Luray skatepark writing made it into this video on accident. I removed that part just now.
A few things I'd like to mention though:
Laurel Ridge changed the name just over a year ago, not over two years ago like you mentioned.... and honestly, I know most people around where I live in Winchester still call it Lord Fairfax Community College. Not saying you are incorrect here, but it'll take a bit before the name change sticks for me so that was just an honest mistake and old habit.
The video mentions ziplining as an activity in the area. Specifically mention Massanutten being nearby first. Then yes, you are correct that the verbiage was wrong about "Woodstock offers campgrounds..." Good catch. I was trying to explain that if you are someone who enjoys camping, the immediate surrounding areas around Woodstock definitely have campgrounds.
I do try my best to get footage done on location. For example, the Strasburg video we have up was a full day of us shooting there in person, and that's not factoring in the editing time at all. That's something we love doing but wasn't within the time constraints this time.
Mainly, the video, like many on RUclips, utilizes stock footage to illustrate the point. The goal for us is to paint a picture and stock footage helps to do that, but I do acknowledge that the farmer's market stock photo is especially misleading now that I've rewatched it. It's tough on our end but I totally get it being frustrating though to feel your town is misrepresented. Not the intention we have at all and I think we're going to go ahead and add disclaimers to stock footage to keep things above board and not risk misinforming. And definitely need to slow down before posting.
Regarding your comment about "taking people's personal photos"... I do need to point out that we spend significant time, energy, and effort on producing these videos. A large part of that planning process is sourcing photos that are either A.) Within Creative Commons licenses B.) Sourced from our paid subscription to Envato Elements (commercial licensing) or C.) Within Fair Use Copyright (i.e. the hospital photo from Valley Health)
As to never having been in Woodstock- I've sold a few homes in Woodstock this summer and have friends who live and work in Woodstock that I visit... so definitely have been there. I'm not going to pretend like I'm without fault here, and we will definitely improve. Hopefully, this doesn't come across as hostile or defensive, because I genuinely do appreciate your feedback and plan to do better based on what you said. So thank you because you made some strong points and I felt compelled to reply late at night lol. Thank you, sincerely!

Will you please stop these videos? It's this stuff that raises my taxes every year. Good Lord, are you planning on retiring in Montana soon with the rest of the dreamers? 🤪💸
