Itself Hollweg is always wonderful. Dessay sings this with a musicality and perfection which is unmatched! Thank you for your wonderful videos! Beautiful! I wish Lily Pons would have recorded it..
I really don't like how Damrau is sounding these days but here in the Glière concerto her voice is young and fresh. I would love for someone to upload the entire recording with her in this piece.
amazing, your channel is a real gem;-) I have read somewhere, that Damrau sung Ma che vi fece, o stelle by Mozart, do you happen to have this one as well?;-)
I don't have her doing K.368 and just to double check searched the internet and nothing came up. Not sure if you saw that I did post on this channel a couple years ago a compilation of 15 sopranos in that aria with the held high F (the only sustained F6 Mozart wrote) -- but alas, no Damrau.
As I say in the description box, these are sopranos who were not already on YT at the time, and I mention there that Dessay (along with a few other sopranos) does the F and that hers can be found elsewhere on YT. One of the goals of my channel is to post only content that is new to YT, I am not interested in duplicating material that has already been shared -- in addition to the fact that Dessay's is a high-profile widely known commercial recording. I do post some commercial recordings, but when I do they are obscure and/or long out-of-print.
BRAVA GIANNA ROLANDI....gone too soon. RIP lovely lady and singer!!
The final High F makes everything very climactic. I love it.
Ilse Hollweg, Beverly Hoch and Alíne Kutan are phenomenal and unforgettable.

Thank you, I've updated the description box.

Too much of a good thing! Thanks
Had this composition been around at the turn of the 20th century I wonder what Tetrazzini would have done with this.

Aline Kutan is by far the best. Incredible feminine timbre and depth of inner fire.
You should listen to Nadine Kutcher as well. Very good version here on youtube.
I've heard this before in film...but which?
wow, early Damrau was really a gem
Where did you find damrau's piece?Thats Great
Years and years ago someone traded with me some early live Damrau stuff from in-house or broadcasts.
@@songbirdwatcher Sounds interedting.Do you have the whole song by Damrau?I really like it.🤣
To my knowledge, Edda Moser never sang or recorded this, however I think she'd have been amazing! If she did, can it be uploaded?
where did you get diana's recording??
Hi -- I just saw this comment. It was shared with me by another collector along with some other live goodies from Diana's early years in Germany.
@@songbirdwatcher do you still have a lot of her 90's recordings? If you have more can you share it with me and how can I communicate with you?
no Gruberova :/ ??
I don’t have Gruberova doing this piece live, with or without an F.
@@songbirdwatcher thanks 😍😘😍😘
no Natalie Dessay ???
