I like that there was at least that football player guy was friendly to him out of all of the random people that he and Jenny encountered along the way. You can say the night cook was friendly too, but he was just a talker, and made a comment about him not being from around here just because he coughed from smoking. This guy was just chill the entire time.
2:09-2:20 That right there demonstrates the following = • John Carpenter is more than capable of creating a film that doesn't terrify audiences. • Jeff Bridges should have won alongside F. Murray Abraham at the 1985 Oscars for Best Actor. • It is one of the most overlooked images of not just 1980s cinema but in all of film history itself. • A flawless demonstration of the currently endangered approach to blending seamlessly an orchestral music score with restrained, precisioned acting using special effects that DO NOT overwhelm the narrative. Another unfortunate thing is that Starman is the ONLY film by John Carpenter that has ever been nominated for an Oscar (for lead Jeff Bridges). Lastly, in 2002, the American Film Institute released a list called 100 Passions that ranks movies what are considered the greatest love stories in American cinema. Starman was nominated to be included but ultimately didn't get to be part of the final results sadly. A shame for a masterpiece that deserves to be given more respect.
Take a moment to appreciate that they actually did send a car crashing into a tanker truck with timed explosions to get this shot. That's why it looks so real!
One of my favorite movies. thank You !!!

"Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got
I'm still, I'm still Jenny that got carried from the road block"
Dirk Blocker, son of Dan (Hoss Cartwright - Bonanza), plays bald cop in this scene.
Dang...was seriously about to ask if it was Scully from "Brooklyn 99".
the music!

More class than other jenny
Την Τζένη του ταρζάν;
The other one is a villain (Forest Gump I assume) 😄
Jenny from the block
Rob Riggle!?! nahhhhhhhh
This scene is why I think *STARMAN* should have been rated R instead of PG. Spoiler alert - Jenny is shot *DEAD!*
Your attitude is what led to the current snowflake safety obsession of coddled Gen Z.
