Faris does still play that card game in both worldlines but in the original worldline she didn't play pro, even though she was good enough to be a pro because she was busy with the maid Cafe. Something else to note is that in the visual novel they establish that Faris has the ability to read people through their eyes which is part of why she's so good at the game but it's also why her family's company was so successful even after her father died in the original worldline.
Steins Gate is one of those rare show where I feel like every character is my favourite character. I don't think she ever was actually kidnapped, but her father didn't need to reveal that embarrassing part of the story, especially since he sold the IBN to SERN in his panic.

Faris tells Okarin that she's falling for him, and she writes and sends a D-Mail while they hold hands. "I hope I still remember you after the worldline changes, nya." "Even if you forget, I'll remember." Okarin suddenly finds himself on Chuo-dori with all the moe stuff back, but all his phone contacts except Faris are gone. The lab is gone. Crucially, he has no mail (not even the one from the start of the game). Mae (the CRT shopkeeper's kid) has no idea who he is, but he manages to get into their house to check the divergence number (it reads .275349. No 0 at the front.). He goes to the cafe, and both girls still work there, but when he greets them Mayushii is shocked that he knows her nickname and says they hardly know each other. Faris playfully scolds him for flirting with other girls in front of her. Daru is also there, but has no idea who he is until he introduces himself as H.K., at which point he is delighted to meet him (presumably they hit it off from there). It turns out Faris and Okarin are happily dating and are a top Rai-Net game couple together, but now Faris is devastated to learn Okarin doesn't remember a thing about them as a couple or the game. Her father is alive, and he thanks Okarin for taking care of her before leaving on a business trip. Okarin and Faris are currently both living in her apartment for the summer (but haven't done more than kissed). Faris believes him when he explains he is a time-traveller due to her gift (explained in the game) of always being able to tell when someone is lying by looking at their eyes (this is why she is amazing at games). Okarin decides that this is the life he chose, and they decide to fall in love all over again. Okarin resolves to not back down from taking part in tomorrow's game tournament with her. They walk on stage hand in hand with her beaming. The end. Personally I'd say this is a pretty decent outcome (especially compared the first failure ending), except that since the divergence meter still exists it must mean that they go on to invent the time machine eventually anyway...so nothing is solved.
@@L_Lawliet1907 All the other alternate attractor fields in the VNs are marked by a new number, but maybe the authors were going for the opposite of positive movement by having a negative number. Even if this was a new field, it failed to change the ultimate outcome since Okabe will still invent the divergence metre and someone will send it back in time and live in FB's house to try and change things.
This episode is probably the one part of the adaptation that cut the most from the VN. On the VN we get a full explanation of why Farris was being persued, we get to see the tournament, meet the gang that wanted to rape her, etc. the problem with the VN is that there is no real representation of the card game, all is in text form which makes it hard to follow and probably good that it was cut. Now Farris text didnt undo her kidnap, she was never kidnapped, she tricked her dad into thinking she was because he didnt spend time with her, upon knowing that she was kidnap he tryed to travel back to tokyo by plane and it crashed, thats how he died, the text was to change the kidnap note to "use the train" saving his life but setting up a chain of changes that forced Farris's dad to sell the IBN5100.
Yeah the anime doesn't make it very clear that she faked her kidnapping in order to get her dad to come home for her birthday. So her dad sold the IBN for nothing, which makes the whole situation all the more frustrating for Okabe. When she told her dad the kidnapping was fake he took the flight anyway because he realized he had upset her so much.
Does the VN explain why suddenly people other than Okabe are remembering other world lines as well??? And its not like its a small nitpick either as Farris and Ruka remembering the true world line is vital to change everything back. So it really bugged me in the anime when people other than Okabe suddenly started remembering other world lines out of nowhere. Because thats probably my greatest gripe with the series.

Honestly this is the only part of Steins Gate which I just dont understand. Okabe was supposed to be the only one with Reading Steiner ability making him the only one to remember things from other world lines. Yet from this episode on almost multiple people started remembering stuff they shouldn't from other world lines. Was that ever explained???? Did I miss something????
It's pretty much the real sense of Deja vu in our life, when you feel you have experience this moment before somewhere. But It really was a convenient plot, I hope they will have more media to explain this Reading Steiner
From what I've heard, it's explained on the VN. Apparently, Okabe can "awake" the reading steiner on anyone by mentioning the other worlds versions of them, something along those lines. I'm not sure if he need to touch the person while talking to them or look into their eyes or something else, but I'm not sure, I just saw about it in some other reactor's comment section.
Everyone has it, but only Okabe has full access to this whole ability. What I mean is I hope they can write new stories to explain the origin of his power though
I'm assuming you haven't watched/played 0, but yeah pretty much anyone can regain memories from previous worldlines. The major difference is that other than Okabe, they need some kind of hint to experience it (looks like what we would call dejá vu) To be more precise, it doesn't seem like Okabe is the one with a special power, but instead its more like he's the only one that doesn't have his memories manipulated (he doesn't know the new worldline while others do, but he does know the previous worldlines while others don't)
Hi guys, You might already know about this, but there an alternative watching order for steins;Gate. I watched it that way earlier that year. I think it really add to the story and you should consider it. The watching order is - Watch episode 1 to 22 - Watch episode 23β (an alternative episode 23) - Watch every episode of Steins;Gate0 (25 episodes), it is a serie that was release after Steins;Gate. - Come back to regular Steins;Gate and watch episode 23 (the original one), 24 and 25. Sorry if this was already posted. Cheers Edit: added the 0
I'd say this order is better for when you want to rewatch the show, but absolutely not when watching for the first time, since switching to 0 right in the climax completely takes you out of the pace of the show and only gets back to faster pacing at the end with the final few episodes (which are honestly really amazing); it adds to the story yes, but its better to completely experience the whole of the original steins gate first and then watch zero to get a little more context to some scenes; and honestly episode 8 of zero makes ep 22 of the original even better than it already was and that's saying sth cuz it already is perfect^^ also you forgot to add "0" in your comment^^
@@animusswtor4822 I followed this watching order when I watched it (only watched it once). Felt like the ending wouldn't be nearly as good without watching 0. Differences of opinion I guess

This take place is 2nd half on 2010. It's not 9/11 attack. Just random crash.
Her dad was the only casualty on the plane
Something they cut off from the VN is the whole thing with the Viral Attackers and 4°C. They ain't even good at the game, they cheated their way to the finals. In the end they were pissed off because even cheating they lost against Faris. They are, in the end, no more than average street tugs...
Animated Depression.
MONSTER
They did see Moeka's message... but Moeka was still the one who sent it.
No they didn't. She told them what she sent, but they never actually saw it.
15:21 damn they're getting closer to the plot points lmao
jesus aaron was infuriatingly wrong at the beginning.
he makes wild guesses, sometimes he says stuff that the other members think he's wrong, but he's actually right.
@@HachiMayoi Like time travel in Star Wars Rebels. He just guessed it.
"Faris will still play that game in the future, right?" No. The original vn goes into more detail, but this Faris is too busy running Queen May's and influencing culture to go to any card tournaments, which is why she holds the Faris Cup instead that we saw earlier.
SHANES STILL HERE
its pre-recorded by a few months I think.
This is pre recorded why do you think they’re all together instead of being at their own homes
I rly hope they watch Steins;Gate 0 after this.
I don't. The show sucked. The vn was good tho.
@@woofcat9363 could you explain why it sucked? i quite liked it. Another point of view and a nice ending.
@@Azurios Steins;Gate anime follows one route from the VN, the Kurisu route. 0 copy and pastes a bunch of unrelated routes together to make a gargled mess
It only gets intersting or plot relevant in last few eps though...they will have to push through
@@Azurios i know, i just explained they took a bunch of routes from that game and mixed them together
Episode 16 is not available in my area
Only way to get past that as far as I know is to get a VPN and change your location. It's on RUclips end not Blind Wave's
You can download the video using any RUclips downloader and pasting the following URL:
ruclips.net/video/6eV9DLEULws/видео.html
This way you don't need a VPN.
check their website
Are you guys going to watch the Steins;Gate movie after the series?
3:03 😆😆😆😆
MAN... Feris's story really was cut short in the anime
Because it's the worst story of all of them, revolving around a card game.
I can't wait to play the VN sometime.
Jean Paul It’s not the worst story, I’d say that was Ruka’s, but it is the one with the least relevance to the main plot.
They don't get it, and I won't explain it...
Just finished all of the steins;gate series and really enjoyed it was just wondering if anyone new if they were going to react to the entirety of this season or stop after episode 22 watch steins;gate 0 23b divide by zero episode then all of steins;gate 0 series then jump back to the original for the last 3 episode 23,24,25 ? It’s how I watched it n felt it worked out well to get the best from the series
Same with me, i recently finished both series and personally I loved 0 even more than the original, from my perspective it was even more emotional, more fast paced (especially in the second half) and more dramatic. Also i loved the art style much more. I would like to see their reaction to 0 as well although I seriously doubt it will happen.
what's the order that is the best way to watch the franchise
@@lemuelbuenviaje1996 Steins Gate episodes 1-22, then steins gate 0, then steins gate episodes 23-25 and then the movie.
吹替版の"よんどしー"もちゃんと厨二病できてるんのかね
Please let Promised Neverland be next after Demon Slayer 🤞
Ah yes, I still remember that show.
did someone say goblin slayer?
Jesus christ as a VN reader i couldn’t stand finished this episode lol. But i am glad you guys enjoy the show. I guess i have to watch your reactions without continue the show in my own.
Black Clover or Fate:zero next
god, no.
Fate zero is great and I’d love to see their reactions to it but not black clover since I think it’s too long to replace a small show like this , let’s wait til they finish hunter x hunter or another long show; maybe by that time I’ll have watched BC too then
Johan Liebert Black Clover is actually really good show with good characters and story telling the animation is just lacking and Astas voice is annoying but over time that all changes. The animation has been improving and you get used to Asta
Johan Liebert if black clover has like mha or Boruto level animation than people would love it
Johan Liebert Ight whatever still feel like blind wave will enjoy it
ep16?
Are they going to watch 0 after they finish this or when they are “supposed” to before the end of this season.
React to la casa de papel (money heist) please
2000th like.
The major difference is that other than Okabe, they need some kind of hint to experience it (looks like what we would call dejá vu)
To be more precise, it doesn't seem like Okabe is the one with a special power, but instead its more like he's the only one that doesn't have his memories manipulated (he doesn't know the new worldline while others do, but he does know the previous worldlines while others don't)
Hi guys,
You might already know about this, but there an alternative watching order for steins;Gate. I watched it that way earlier that year. I think it really add to the story and you should consider it.
The watching order is
- Watch episode 1 to 22
- Watch episode 23β (an alternative episode 23)
- Watch every episode of Steins;Gate0 (25 episodes), it is a serie that was release after Steins;Gate.
- Come back to regular Steins;Gate and watch episode 23 (the original one), 24 and 25.
Sorry if this was already posted.
Cheers
Edit: added the 0
I'd say this order is better for when you want to rewatch the show, but absolutely not when watching for the first time, since switching to 0 right in the climax completely takes you out of the pace of the show and only gets back to faster pacing at the end with the final few episodes (which are honestly really amazing); it adds to the story yes, but its better to completely experience the whole of the original steins gate first and then watch zero to get a little more context to some scenes; and honestly episode 8 of zero makes ep 22 of the original even better than it already was and that's saying sth cuz it already is perfect^^
also you forgot to add "0" in your comment^^
It destroys the build up so don't even try
ORSMania They don't read comments also you didn't say 0 you just said steins gate also its 23 episodes not 25
@@animusswtor4822 I followed this watching order when I watched it (only watched it once).
Felt like the ending wouldn't be nearly as good without watching 0.
Differences of opinion I guess
@@ORSMania one reactor did it and it was completely spoiled for him the show that should end, extends too much and the people get irritated and depressed and becomes boring eventually
