I love the contemporary groove of this song. I had a feeling we'd hear something like this when he first announced the new CD. After seeing him in concert literally dozens of times, one thing I know is that David Phelps cannot be put in a box. Whether he's singing traditional gospel or something like this (that some people will label as "secular"), David honors and glorifies God with his commitment to excellence showcasing the talents and gifts that God has given him.
As David himself put it, "I find as I get older the line between the sacred and the secular becomes unknowable!"

My FIL lost his battle with LB Dementia in 2019 at 72. What a beautiful tribute David for all those that have suffered with loved ones through cognitive diseases. This touched my heart immensely.
I love David Phelps beautiful voice but I feel it is lost in this type of song.

I love this song.I lost a cousin 2 weeks ago that had this condition. It was so sad. It means a lot to me. We were very close all of our lives. The last time a saw him (about a month before he died) he had no idea who I was. He was a Christian man and had lost his 2 daughters with cancer years before. He wanted to go home to be with them. Those were his only children.

From the interview published about the new album, it sounds as if these are very personal songs for DP. In this video, he’s telling a story. At min 2:43 there is a glimpse of a photo. It’s clearly a family photo. Folks questioning if the song is religious enough should definitely read The Song of Solomon. I’m looking forward to more of DP’s stories sung in his songs.
It’s not about that at all.. it’s more about the direction of DP’s future music. Some are just wondering .. that’s all.
@@deehebert905 There are indeed people who are concerned about David leaving gospel music for the world of secular music. I have seen the comments. It happens every time he does a "secular" love song. I am not one of those concerned about it.

This song really hit home. My husband had been diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at age 62. By the time he was 65 my name was "Hey". He passed away at age 66.
I pray for that wicked spirit of Alzheimer's to be remove by the living Christ in Jesus name Amen.
"They found a house in the country." The house in the video is David's house in Middle Tennessee. He holds concerts there in his barn. I have been to them. They are great to attend. What a great guy. Can anyone name another singer who is as famous as David inviting strangers to his home for a concert?

I have been that child who had both parents not know who I was and I lost them 5 mos apart. Sitting with them waiting for that moment of recognition. Thank you for reminding those caring for their loved ones that these moments will happen and to treasure them. One day they will be like me and can look back on those moments and smile, not cry. While David did indeed sing love songs before,
I didn't expect that I'd consider one of his love songs to be one of the best love songs of all time!
David, sounds great, clear, clean and modern with a touch of stylish without being too modern or trying to hard. Catchy for sure. I am trying not to keep singing it brushing my teeth, watering the garden and cooking. Dang you. Got to me again.

Most people dislike this and some of the other songs on Gamechanger because of the R&B groove they are not listening to the words of the songs, the songs are about life issues and also spiritual issues, all in my humble opinion are all spiritual!!
