when i drove this way for the first time, the road was dusty and full of water holes, the houses on the left and right were made of bamboo and the bungalows on the beach cost 30 baht.
What you say remind me of bali about 20 year ago in Seminyak where it was exactly like that too before it became what it is now!!Koh samui is still very beautiful and natural in many many place!

Yes it is but as you said "slowly" at least more slowly in Lamai but chaweng get busier much more everyday!Let's hope it will continue faster to be that way!

My pleasure!at the moment i think chaweng is definitely the busiest place both at the beach or on the streets and for nightlife even if lamai is still fun,chaweng stay the most crowded especially that now green mango is open again!!But i pretty sure that in September lamai or chaweng should be the same!🕺🏝🌴🌞🏄♀️🍻🙏🙏🙏
