Watching from Qatar. I'm from Taculing Bacolod. I'm always watching your new videos. Thanks for your efforts. I only have one request if you can possibly show yourself on cam for one second hehe. Anyhow thank for vlogging about our lovely city. Keep safe and God bless sir.
I’m so glad to know that Goldenfield is now open to visit . I used to spend time in Chicken Alley eating barbecue and listening to live music . Thanks for more updates . 👍
Cheers for another great video, you mention the NGC is the bars and restaurant's now open, I would spend my Fridays and Saturday nights there great craic, I hope to be back asap they permit tourist's hopefully sooner rather that later
Goldenfield has created many memories for its patrons over the years..it would be interesting to see how the lodges have been affected by the pandemic..
I don’t know your name but you have been doing a great service topeople like me who has not come home to my home town Bacolod since 1987. I am living in Vancouver Canada and has been watching your vlogs for a year and I truly appreciate it very much. You are doing vlogs in Negros Occidental that. I like and you are doing better than all other vloggers as you even walk the street and go to different places which brought fond memories since I was a kid . There are so many restaurants and new places that I have not seen. I graduated in La Salle high school 1970-71 and the best restaurant ant at that time was Bobs big Boy fronting the Riverside hospital. Now I am retired and this is our 50 years supposedly high school reunion. With this pandemic restrictions on going both in Canada and the Philippines I doubt that this will happen. For the meantime, I watch your vlog and enjoy. Thank you my friend. God bless you.
That is my hometown ❤️the city of smile thanks for sharing my province negros occedintal we have a lot of niced places and off course we are malambing ilongga 😄❤️💛
This is sad but I guess bars and especially Go Go bars and discos will be the most dangerous places to be in a pandemic. Alcohol and close contact opprtunities are a bad combo. I remember seeing Goldenfield on holidays in Negros Occidental in 2012 and 2013 when there was a series of Go go bars behind the Castle. Long before the City Mall was built. At least the more wholesome family and child-friendly places like MGC are starting to open up so that is a good sign. Be safe everyone. Hope the nightlife returns once the pandemic is under control.
Used to be the “it” place to be in Bacolod. I remember they had the Little Cinema and Rock n Pool club back in the early 80’s (was still a little kid). That bowling alley has been there forever. Used to be well kept. Hope they would revive Goldenfields to its former glory. Such an iconic landmark of Bacolod.
If you had to guess, and this of course assumes that the nightlife industry returns to normal, but do you think it would return to Goldenfield or establish itself somewhere else? Not trying to pin you down or anything just curious is all. I have never been to Bacolod myself but I had heard of Goldenfields and wondered what it was like. Sad to see it at this point would have liked to see it at its height.
I was in highschool when the SEA Games was held in Bacolod and the Philippine Azkals (football team) were checked in at Kundutel. We kinda stalked them back then 😁 Also the Thai team was in Hotel Alhambra which is now GT Hotel at the downtown area.
Even before the pandemic few years back, goldenfield was already slowly dying from NGC marketplace competition. Others can be found in 18th st.- lacson and previously in mandalagan art district
Interestingly I haven't been there for 12 years (my first arrival in BCD) but as of late I have been frequenting. Caribbean waterpark is a great value right now and dare I say, Moonlight is only 200 for short time. I'll be back to both, but just turned 60 so the nightlife really isn't for me anymore.
Goldenfields on it's height late 70's to late 80's, bustling with nightlife and the Casino., then slowly deteriorated. But thanks for showing what it looks like now...definitely the city is not managed well compared with Iloilo.

It's looking less likely that things opening up again, I think foreign tourists have been currently banned entry again

Yes it does seem a thing of the past, I don't think it will be like it was unless they do something with the old casino to try and attract people
@@asianight9188 Thanks.

This video was done 2 years ago. Looks totally abandoned everywhere. Wish someone would make an updated video to see if any improvements exist.
It hasn't got much better since
