I bought this pedal because of you! Then I decided it was too big and bought the MXR sized version of the Alter Ego. Close enough for me... but I do miss some of the sounds on the big x4 pedal.

Yes they are better modeled, the flashback has sort of general sound, this one is specifically modeled after certain units, and it does a pretty good job at it.
This is a shame, the Alter Ego could have been a really interesting pedal but for me, TC have effectively ruined this pedal by overusing modulation on this set of delays. Don't get me wrong, I do like to use modulated delays sometimes but most of these presets barring 3 or 4 seem to have 1 type of modulation or another and they don't sound very good at all. Especially the TR Organ setting that just sounds crap. I was thinking about getting 1 of these once, but I'm glad I didn't 😆 I don't know what possessed me to think that I might want such a pedal. If I do end up buying a TC Electronic delay unit, I'd much rather prefer to get the Flashback, and probably the triple delay.👍
Funny demo. Claimed as stereo but it is mono. You had to switch the tap selector to a double note to turn this device to stereo mode.

Something is wrong with this demo. It is not in stereo! This sounds narrow even with two amps.

I tried this in stereo and it just sounds like the left and right are exactly the same! What exactly makes it stereo...just splitting the signal?
Switch the selector to double note and it wil be more obvious.
