I've just build my Impulsor (my first magnetising project, though it would be good practice before giving the Repulsor a try). This video was really helpful. Just some quick notes: 1) I didn't have 5 mm magnets, so I had to build a structure from sprues to support a smaller magnet inside the "box" of the weapons. It was not impossible, but hard enough that I decided against magnetising the back of the box. So, do get 5mm magnets! 2) Also, when placing the shield generator's base, it was really hard to takeout, since it had a very snug fit and I feared damaging the paint afterwards, so in the end I just glued the antenna and kept the shield generator without base, and fits reasonably well (so you could save a magnet there), if you wanted. Again, really helpful, thank you.
Awesome Video, I’m busy building my first Impulsor and tried to note down a shopping list. Did I get it correct that the shield dome and the comma array need different sizes? This is the list I noted: Dorsal Gun Mounts 4 2x1mm Dorsal Guns 8 2x2mm Top Mount 2 5x1mm Comms Array 3x2mm Shield Dome 2x3mm Top Weapons + housing 4 5x1mm
I think that’s about right. Anything that is 2x3 or 3x2 on vehicles has room for error and can be drilled out a bit more or less without affecting the build unless it’s on fiddly small gun barrels👍
Very useful video. Hoping to get to use this once I get my Impulsor. One question though, because I'm not sure what exactly is in the box; does the comms array and the shield dome come with the Impulsor box or are they separate purchases?
Likewise! And now we have the Necromunda set incoming and the Sisters boxed set. An expensive month even for us Brits, let alone you folks down under where you are being robbed blind...
Old Average Brit Gaming, let us never speak of the penal colony tax. My wallet screams at me and tried to escape even if I just enter a Warhammer store.
Great guide cheers although i think the top mount magnet size you recommend is wrong, i tried a 5.1mm and it is tiny compared to the video lots of space around the diameter
Hope you will find it useful when you get your own Impulsor! As for channel names, all depends on what your focus is, what suits your personality and what has a catchy name!
Hey Brandon. Glad the video was useful. I think I did some minor boring out rather than real drilling just to make sure the magnets I used went flush when the turret options interchange. Hope this helps!
Fantastic Nick. Can’t believe you’ve managed to get yours already, mine is winging its way to me - so the guide is super useful as always. Thanks ! PS is that a new bit of painting studio storage I can see ?
From a kit/model perspective, very nice tbh, less fiddly on the grav plates compared to the Repulsors. From a rules perspective, time will tell. I think most folks are excited for a 4+ inv save vehicle for the Primaris and the ability to move and disembark like old school Rhino Rushing! Finding the optimal unit to place in them is the next consideration I expect. Assault Bolt Rifle Intercessors in the Tactical Doctrine phase, or plain old Hellblasters and a Captain?
Watched about 5 videos on magnetising the impulsor, this is the best method I've seen. Best fit and finish as well. Keep up the good work 💪
Thanks very much! Glad it worked well for you :)
Thank you sir! Just finished mine with your very helpful instruction. Why do I want to magnetize everything now 🤣
Glad you found the guide helpful! Once you magnetise, you don’t go back 🤣

Some good points there, and glad the video helped overall though! I have a video on the Repulsor magnetisation as well should you need it!
Nice clear video, cheers mate!
Glad it was helpful 👍

Great video, well explained and to the point!
Thank you!
Great tips mate,really well explained
Thanks mate, hope it helps some folsk out with their builds!
Nice share Nick, always worth the effort
Cheers matey!
I followed this guide. It worked perfectly. Cheers, good sir!
Awesome! Glad it helped you out 👍

All the options are included in the kit, just watch for any “common” parts which is where the magnets come in👍
@@OldAverageBritGaming Roger, and thank you
Might have to get one of these little tanks. Can’t help but want all the stuff they release.

Great Tips, thanks
No probs Paul!

Ill have to double check that Goosey!
cool, when i get an impulsor this guide will be very useful,
also, im stuck on names for my channel, so do you have any ideas??
Hope you will find it useful when you get your own Impulsor! As for channel names, all depends on what your focus is, what suits your personality and what has a catchy name!
Great video! Quick question. Fairly new to magnetizing. Did you have to do any drilling for the turret options?

Many thanks Nick, I have only just got my tank (Repulsor) from the "Conquest" subscription so your tips will be of great value to my build. :>)
Excellent! I Heard this was a 2 part from Conquest, so hopefully everything works as well as it did for me!
Fantastic Nick. Can’t believe you’ve managed to get yours already, mine is winging its way to me - so the guide is super useful as always. Thanks !

The joys of being at Warhammer World on the day they came out! Yup indeed some new storage...
No mucking about getting this done! Magnets FTW,
Straight home and straight on the hobby mate!
Nice video. What do you think of the tank?

Old Average Brit Gaming I’m thinking hellblasters
Awesome sauce
The only sauce i like is Awesomesauce!
Is that a new sauce made by HP?
