It's all incredible but some moments from the manodharma section for students looking to learn some of the details of the magic that happened here: 36:36 - ending of the neraval in a beautiful, wholesome kanakku 39:13 - an elegant abhiprayam to end the slow speed swaram (repeated in tisram at 39:40). Maths is (6x1)+6+(8x2)+6+(10x3) = 64. 41:25 - the types of "1 swara" endings prevalent in these and 41:40 is a karvai ending (no swara at end) 42:06 - excellent saramathi ending RGS/NDM/NDMGS 43:04 - a brilliant 96 count abhiprayam (7+3+7+3+7)+3+(8+3+8+3+8)+3+(9+3+9+3+9) 52:52 - the mother of all korvais within this performance yet with a simple, catchy construction - all in khanda nadai 2 kalai. Poorvanga = 15x3 = 45. Uttaranga = (5+2+5+2+5) + (7+2+7+2+7) + (9+2+9+2+9) = 75. Total counts = 45+75 = 120. This is 1.5 avartanas of a 2 kalai khanda nadai adi talam. Will try to keep adding as I understand more of this.
Best imagination, construction and presentation of Saramati I've ever heard. Abhishek's Saramati is the "Queen's Gambit" of the Carnatic scene. Dream team - Abhishek, Patri ji, Vitthal ji and Karthick ji.
What a beautiful performance. Abishek body language is very superb. Not only he makes the audience enjoy the cutchery but he himself is enjoying. Pray the Almighty to give this youth vigour and strength to serve the carnatic music world.
Heard it umpteen times. Still not satisfied. Brings out the subtle nuances of the raaga. God bless you. May we get to hear more and more from you for many more years.
Masterly, lively rendition. Fully brings out his involvement and enjoyment. God blessed artist. Listen to his other gems like Seethamma, Mayamma, entharo mahanu, meru sammana, edayagathi…..May God bless Abhishek with so many years of such wonderful renditions…..
When Sri Abhishek Raghuram is on the stage, there is a superior power descends on him, and make him sing. See the expressions on his face, and the body language. I have never seen any accompanying artists expressing their appreciation like the one you see in this concert.Another accompanying artist is Thambura Artist Sri.Vaidyanathan, in the song "SARANAGHATHI" I request the Rasikas to see THEMET in New York, and the one with Sri V V Subramanyam Sir, the Violinist.I am reminded of late Sri Madurai Mani Iyer who has performed raga Vistharam like this. May God Bless Abhishek with Very Good MUSICAL LIFE.
Guess this is how kutcheris must've been in the golden days of carnatic music, when the rasikhas assemble closer to the mahavidhwans and get literally drenched in the gaana mazhai. For a music illiterate like me, Shri Abhishek Raghuram's raaga aalaapana simply brought tears pouring - literally 😂. He's the Madurai Mani Iyer of this generation perhaps...🙏 Carnatic music is truly alive and kicking through the younger generation (the list is getting longer with each passing year), who are enchantingly - and enthusiastically - carrying forward this great cultural tradition of #MeraBharatMahan. 👌🎼🙌
What a lovely presentation!! Even for an ignorant rasika like me who doesn’t know much about Carnatic music except identify a few ragas, this is divine music. May God bless Abishek and the accompanying artists.
What an outstanding performance!!! A wholesome music. All the artistes have immersed themselves in the music with a great involvement is indeed a treat to watch. In particular Abhishek being a mridangist himself, no wonder Patri Sathish Kumar is able to strike a fantastic chord of relationship and enjoy the most. I am sure people will listen this song repeatedly many a times. A blessed youngster. We heartily wish him to scale new heights in Carnatic Music.
Geniuses at work. Accompanists doing a outstanding job by responding to the intricate patterns woven by the genius Abishek Raghuram. Team work at its best
Just listened to this again. The final khanda nadai koraippu was special. Very unique presentation and completely new ideas in swaram patterns. The acknowledgement of the percussion artists at the end of the final swara is testament to the vidwat of AR. The applause at the end of it was so well deserved! This is a saramathi that will be etched in history as one of the finest ever rendered by a vocalist.
Abhishek: Pranams to the Goddess Saraswathi, who has come alive in your Saramathi exposition. Hats off to your passion for giving us soulful music! May the Divine Mother bless you!
An unimaginable saramathi raga alapana with fiery and unimaginable kalpanaswarams by Abhishek Raghuram and a fantastic bowing by Vittal Ramamurthy and a fantastic Tani avartanam by both patri Satish Kumar and ghatam Karthik
i feel blessed to have witnessed this masterpiece sitting in front of satish garu...witnessing this awesome team work featuring abhishek's soulful rendition from the left of the screen
One of my favorite Krithi. Thank you very much for taking me an inch closer to the god. Hope god will bless me with MOKSHA.🙏🙏🙏 From my childhood till today at 63 years, this is one Krithi which has always given me lot of peace. Thank you very much for rendering this fantastic krithi so melodiously.🙏🙏🙏
A great composition nicely rendered by Abhishek Raghuram. I used to listen to this kriti from Dwaram Venkataswami Naidu. Abhishek's rendering takes me back almost 60 years. Thanks for posting this concert.
As rightly requested, kindly upload the full concert, he is carrying the legacy forward, great maestro, brilliant, master piece, creative, the piece then goes on to achieve superlative levels of excellence overall, it is divine, the accompaniments Shri Vital Ramamurthi on the violin unquestionable, Shri Patri Satish Kumar on the Mridangam, Shri S Karthick on the ghatam, both of them at their best, finally our fear of carnatic music dying is negated by such vidhvan, our best wishes and may all the Almighty bless all of them, thanks for uploading
Extremely involved. Great artist born to sing. One is reminded of the genius BMK in his younger days. Abhishek is very innovative in his approach. A child prodigy never ceases to amaze me. God bless Abhishek who is destined for greater heights. He is doing full justice to Lalgudi mama and Raghu mama whose lineage is an influencing factor in his Pedigree. I have not heard Saramati raaga sung this way. Hats off to Abhishek and the coartists for encouraging Abhishek.
Wonderful rendition. He is definitely a very complete musician - possessing excellent voice culture, manodharma, strong laya sense. Equally adept at Raga presentation, rendering the composition and neravals, and fantastic swara singing in multiple nadai. I wish there were violinists of equal stature who could reply to AR's creativity. A Lalgudi reborn would be the perfect accompaniment for this genius.
Vittal Ramamurthy is equally adept and a great sishya of lalagudi Sir. He has seen Abhishek growing as a musician. Vittalji just supports and encourages Abhishek. That's how I take it.
Words are very small to describe the beauty of this concert, except to surrender his magnificent singing. GODDESS SARASWATHI bless him throught his musical journey.
I need to dissect and study each neraval and swara line in Abhishek’s rendition - what a colossus of laya and improvisation. A masterclass on how to lead 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Same here. I was fortunate enough to heat the programme live. If you hear the raga alapana whatever he is singing in the kalpana swaram has been hinted in the raga alapana especially the phrase thathakida thakathaka thimjom. Such a wonderful imagination and great presentation.I have heard his Saramathi thrice live and Whenever I hear his Saramathi it is different and special.
What is that explanation he gives at 15:36? "Ni Ri Ga Sa, Dha Ni" "Ma Dha Ni Pa, Ga Ma" I understand that they are the same sounding phrases when taken from different "Sa" root note. As in, the second phrase would be used if one were to take the "Ma" as the "Sa " and sing the same tune. Essentially shruthibhedam. But what was the context and reason here in Abhishek pointing it out? Does anyone know?

42:06 - excellent saramathi ending RGS/NDM/NDMGS
43:04 - a brilliant 96 count abhiprayam (7+3+7+3+7)+3+(8+3+8+3+8)+3+(9+3+9+3+9)
52:52 - the mother of all korvais within this performance yet with a simple, catchy construction - all in khanda nadai 2 kalai. Poorvanga = 15x3 = 45. Uttaranga = (5+2+5+2+5) + (7+2+7+2+7) + (9+2+9+2+9) = 75. Total counts = 45+75 = 120. This is 1.5 avartanas of a 2 kalai khanda nadai adi talam.

Y uh
Although all Greek to me, nevertheless find the vocalist arresting, immersing and riveting
Best imagination, construction and presentation of Saramati I've ever heard. Abhishek's Saramati is the "Queen's Gambit" of the Carnatic scene. Dream team - Abhishek, Patri ji, Vitthal ji and Karthick ji.
Vrile Sarumathi raaga rendition.
What a beautiful performance. Abishek body language is very superb. Not only he makes the audience enjoy the cutchery but he himself is enjoying. Pray the Almighty to give this youth vigour and strength to serve the carnatic music world.
Masterpiece. No body can match Abhishek. Best best best rendering of Saramati and mokshamu galada I have heard.
What an artist. Mesmerizing Kalpana, swaraprastaram, control of rhythm, in all splendid performance
Heard it umpteen times. Still not satisfied. Brings out the subtle nuances of the raaga. God bless you. May we get to hear more and more from you for many more years.

Yes Sir. You are 110% correct in pointing out that 'there is a superior power descends on him....' and that power is Devi Saraswati.
Excellent rendetion god bless all who performed this concert

This is the best Saramathi I ever heard in my life time. May God bless Abhishek a very long and healthy life to render similar concerts.
What a lovely presentation!! Even for an ignorant rasika like me who doesn’t know much about Carnatic music except identify a few ragas, this is divine music. May God bless Abishek and the accompanying artists.

Words are very small to describe the beauty of this concert, except to surrender his magnificent singing.
GODDESS SARASWATHI bless him throught his musical journey.
He is someone extraordinary. His manodharma and ragalapana is unpredictable. Genius.Reminds Muraligaru in ragalapana.
Very true and sometimes like madurai somasundaram.
I need to dissect and study each neraval and swara line in Abhishek’s rendition - what a colossus of laya and improvisation. A masterclass on how to lead 🙌🏽🙏🏽

Good entertainment, in an informal setting! But I wonder how St. Tyagaraja would feel if he were present.
Superb
Great performance. How about releasing the full Concert .?
Excellent
Violinist did not touch those pidi's that Abishek touched!. Why so ?. Miss Lalgudi!!!!
Difference is stark! Lalgudi mama was and surely will be an unparalleled genius!

Not sure of the context, but Kaanada is the other raga
I think he just wanted to point out the possible Grahabhedam to Kaanada. He also shows a hint of Kaanada in the alapana around 8:33
Mr Franz Berger, yes, one could guess you have absolutely no idea about the Carnatic genre of Indian Classic Music
I'm
I'm tg
Genius 🙏
He is a genius
