- So for some reason Fox keeps some of its older opens whenever they get newer ones. For example the 2016 opens still used the 2012 “Good Day” opens and the 2019 “Good Day” and “News Edge” opens are still being used alongside the opens they use now.

I know Ernie Anderson did one for WPRI in Providence until 1995 after switching from ABC to CBS as far as I know.
Rest in beauty and peace Amanda Davis (1955-2017) She was the best anchor woman in Atlanta Georgia. I love Brenda Wood, the Whitney Houston of News Anchor Of the 1980s before she joins the The 11 Alive News Family in the 1990s and beyond.

Let just be honest WAGA was better as a CBS affiliate. It ok as a FOX affiliate, but WATL was also owned by FOX before the switch in 1994. WAGA has lost it way as a FOX affiliate plain and simple. WXIA if Gannett/TEGNA wasn't such a mess it be a solid station. WGCL has had so many turns of up and down one would get whiplash. That why WSB-TV is solid #1 despite Cox hooking up with Apollo. Welcome South Brother still has the best news in Atlanta.
Even though I've spent only eight months in the Atlanta media market in 1978 (Woodstock, to be exact), I've rather enjoyed these WAGA intros. From what I've learned, Mr. Guy Sharpe was always on the air - one way or another, which is good.
Rest Well, Mr. Sharpe - for you have earned it, many times over.

Brenda Wood seemed to be uncomfortable working alongside John Marler 11:46 At 12:03 Brenda looked a lot like an 80s version Whitney Houston - very beautiful.
Hardly after 4 years of working together she seem to be very comfortable. Brenda was always a measured anchor woman and got right to the point. She wasn't overly dramatic.

Speaking of Fox O&Os, TheOpensGuy has already updated San Fran's KTVU (which now falls in-line with all of the other news open compilations), while kyndle hewett updated Austin's KTBC, Los Angeles' KTTV & Philly's WTXF. And, if NESTLEH does return, he might wind up updating WTVT since that station is in his home market of Tampa/St. Petersburg.

New World owned WAGA-TV along with WJBK-TV, WJW-TV, WITI, WTVT, KNSD, & WSBK-TV since took over from SCI in 1993 until 1995 as WSBK-TV, 1996 as KNSD, & the rest of it until 1997. it also owned KDFW-TV, KTBC, KTVI, & WVTM from April 1, 1995 until 1996 as WVTM & the rest of it until 1997. in that same group owned KSAZ & WDAF-TV from September 1994 until January 1997 (WBRC & WGHP taking by FOX TV Stations).
