    I love sitting there in your truck and see places I went to and roads I traveled. You have given me away to get back on the road without leaving home. To old to do it for real now.

    10:37 Yeah I like the 2 wheels on the back and 1 on the front. That ones sounds like a custom made one for sure. Looks nice. Safe travels and thanks for sharing.

      Here in western Australia the section between Balladonia and Caiguna includes what is regarded as the longest straight stretch of road in Australia and one of the longest in the world. The road stretches for 146.6 kilometres (91.1 mi) without turning, and is signposted and commonly known as the "90 Mile Straight", travelled it many times 👍👍

    Great camera setup... I should have installed one from day one. Had a b-train purposely try to run me off the road near Winnipeg on my first trip out this week, I accidentally clicked the pedal in to powermode and it upshifted as I approached his bumper so I slowed down a bit for like 5 seconds... Then when I got almost to his first trailer he clicked on the indicator cause now he was riding the car in front by maybe 5 feet. Wish I caught him on camera because he was STARING at me pretty much the whole approach and then blatantly tried to run me off the road.
    People from 3rd world countries who have driven pretty lawlessly their whole lives dont mesh well with polite north American driving when we have to cover 1350km per day on a perfect shift (and yes it can be done with an eld but more stressful then paperlog that's for sure). The best part of this job is finding that hidden gem sometimes. For example I checked out this cool antique shop the other day, which I would never do now that the eld is installed. I'm going to miss you paperlogs.
    So I guess my question is...
    How much does the eld hurt your business? Do you feel the need to cruise at 72mph because of the eld? Have you noticed drivers going faster and people not lifting off the pedal when getting passed by a driver going less then 1 mph faster?

    Going to Lakeland the fastest and probably 50 miles closer. Get off 75 south at ex. 321 { Lake Panasoffkee } go left by the truck stop, dead-end go L, couple 100 ft. go R, almost to Lakeland you turn L again straight into town. Good running a couple towns you have to slow down in, lot faster than going to 4.

    It has been years since I was in Brooksville, Fl. Walmart. I was escorted out and told not to ever come back. I told them, Why would I ever want to come back?

    Really love the Volvo. Really considering a career change. How hard is it to make the change to trucking and being gone a lot and is it worth working for a good trucking company or buy a truck?

  • @MrRld1960
    @MrRld1960 5 лет назад +1

    Because they can, it's that simple, unfortunately. If they had to pay $100-150 an hr. to the truck from min. #1, I bet they would have you loaded/unloaded it less than an hour.

    Did you decide if you were going to put somebody in your other truck? I didn't hear that noise when you were stopping.

    so i see this is a branch off of provost the bmw etc service facility. is this something that you are doing for fun or are you their actual employee (they only have 1 truck, this one) and this is an actual attempt to branch into freight. seems really odd for a service facility to just decide to buy a truck and run cargo.... i know some have their own transports they use to move cars to events and stuff but thats not what you are doing

    Knowing what you know now, would you buy the Volvo or Pete? How much money does the APU save? Did Volvo offer an APU option? Thanks!

    • @MrRld1960
      @MrRld1960 5 лет назад +1

      I'd say you can get an APU on almost any truck. You need like 23-24 in. of space to put it. I saw where one guy put his on the deck plate behind the sleeper. It's not just saving fuel, but it is so much quieter than idling the truck. I slept a lot better.
