It’s not a “give and take”. You don’t get to lie. What a failure.
She does get to lie because if a report asks a question she doesn't like or pushes back they won't ever be called on again. This a banana republic not a democracy.
Biden should be doing these conferences rather than Jean-Pierre. He should be able to talk about his own policies in depth. That is the only way that he can show that he is mentally competent.

It’s not uncommon for an incumbent to have a bad night on their first debate. However, bad nights are more common at his age. And, unfortunately, they don’t suddenly become less common.
They will get him out there doing the same thing as before. Answering 3 or 4 questions from pre-selected friendly reporters asking softball questions. Speeches will be done by teleprompter. Town halls will have friendly reporters who can bail him out.
