Kingdom Hearts x [chi] is an official Kingdom Hearts game exclusive to PC browsers. The game is free to play and it is set during the events of the Keyblade War. It hosts simple 2D graphics and allows all players to become Keyblade wielders.

Unfortunately Square Enix said that they have no plans for a worldwide release of this game, which means that we are all going to be stuck with the Japanese language.
Therefore, since KH13.com is working on a full coverage of this game, I decided with DChiuch to work on a full walkthrough of it, editing it and manually adding an English translation to everything that is essential. This should be enough to all of you for understanding the game, as it does seem to have a few canon elements and, somehow, to be related to Kingdom Hearts III.
UPDATE: A porting of this game has been developed for smartphone platforms with the name of Kingdom Hearts Unchained x[chi].
Exclusive to the iOS and Android smartphone platforms, Kingdom Hearts Unchained x[chi] features plot and gameplay elements from the Japan-exclusive web browser game Kingdom Hearts x.
Just like Kingdom Hearts x, Kingdom Hearts Unchained x is free to play, but it contains in-app purchases. It is the first Kingdom Hearts game to be released on smartphone platforms. While it has only been released in Japan so far, the game is being developed in order to release it internationally. To think the Keyblade war was actually a bunch of children killing each other.
These "children" were already consumed by darkness. If they don't perish in the war, they'll become Darklings. There's no saving them. That's why the Dandelions were created. Even then, though, some of the Dandelions return to the war because doubt consumes them, and even one of the new Union Leaders in Union X is a traitor, as they killed Strelitzia, the original Union Leader and Lauriam's sister, and took the Book of Prophecies(I heavily suspects Brain is behind all of this).

And how would you know that? Do you think Ava hadn't tried to convince all of the keyblade wielders to join the Dandelions? Besides, if you actually played the damn game(as in X, not Unchained X), you would've known that the wielders are now a bunch of jealous pricks who would collect the light in any way they see fit, including theft. So if you're calling them still in the light, you are unbearably naive.
Doubts creates darkness. Dandelions who are not prepared for light are bound to return to darkness. The Dandelions lend you a hand, and it's up to you to accept it or not. Simple as that.
Lastly, as the story wasn't updated yet, we are still in the speculating phase. Brain is not confirmed as the traitor, but if you played Kingdom Hearts III you will suspect him.
Also fix your goddamn grammars and punctuations.

Seeing the fight at the Keyblade Graveyard was so heartbreaking. I can't believe that many keyblade warriors have died cause they were fighting against each other. They became allies, now mortal enemies as their hearts and eaten by the darkness.

The lost page makes it sound like Ava is the traitor. She rejected the keyblade war and in secrecy made the dandelions. Somehow that pushed things closer to the war. It would explain why she was in so much despair.
I'm wondering if Luxu defeated Ava and took her appearance for the battle or something. The Ava I saw in the battle did t seem anything like the Ava in the past. Idk. Maybe I'm wrong, but it does sound plausible to me

TheKidMarl H She does go into secrecy though. She also accuses Luxu of being the traitor, but in reality, she is. She misread the truth.
She is also the one that can't forgive this distasteful prophecy. Luxu could care less of what happens to everyone.
She see the worst of it, losses faith in the Unions, creates the Dandelions, and losses her true strength as a Foreteller.

There's so much that I want to say about the ending. I guess I'll just have to explain it as best as I can.
I think the reason why this feels so very different compared to the other games is because it shows that we the players have truly been part of the Kingdom Hearts franchise since the beginning. We the players have been through and in a way helped Sora and the others through their journeys since the beginning. Chi/Unchained shows that our story came before those events. We helped shaped our beloved characters even before they were probably born. Chi/Unchained is something that I think should be very much appreciated. Even with some of the plot holes, our story helps explain some of the things that take place in Sora's journey. We are basically what makes Kingdom Hearts so special.
P.S. How cool would it be if Square found a way to make our avatar(s) as optional bosses for KH3?
Personally, I'd love to kick the foretellers asses for all their shit as bosses in KH3, but fighting ourselves would be cool too.

It's a very good thing that people just vanish and become hearts when they die in KH, instead of there being blood. it doesn't change how tragic this is though
Why this is so lovely , I do agree!
1. Keyblade War was brutal, heartwrenching, and crazy as heck! All of those hearts floating up in the sky and the Keyblades falling from the sky.
2. I still can't believe we've been doubled-crossed into using the doggone Power Bangle, using the Guilt, and Nightmare Chirithy's wielder was the player! US MAN!
3. Master Aced couldn't get anymore crazier! He's crazy! He wants to kill you! And I'm glad Master Ira came in and saved our butts again.
4. And Ava.... I guess she's traitor or Luxu is the main traitor. Ava was only trying to avoid the war, by doing something traitorous in the eyes of the Master of Masters...
5. Speaking of Master of Masters, I'm starting to question about him. Is he someone we could trust or not. We need to see him and know a little bit more about him. I hope Back Cover will shine some more light on these shadowy details....
6. The ending just made me cry. Seeing Ephemer and Skuld again I guess that means all of us are going to Unchained.
We still have that clip to see on the 29th. Maybe it will show us Daybreak Town's destruction, Luxu's departure, and possibly the Master of Masters. Heck the five Fortellers.

I never really thought about it when we first heard of the Keyblade War in Birth by Sleep, but this war is absolute screwed up. They're just children, young teenagers fighting to the death. So many people are dying that the sky is filled with hearts. This is seriously messed up. I love it.

So it was just like Nomura said. KHX/Unchained focuses on the players point of view which mean it shows the player take part of the war.
While Back Cover shows the Fortellers part meaning the Mc's are Ephemera and Skuld.
It was really cool! I always did the imagine the participants being more mature, theyre just teens really. Having them as adults in darker clothing wouldve made it darker imho, that's how I always imagined it. Also, the Chi keyblades are super "kiddy," unlike the ones we see in the graveyard. It's like comparing the kh2fm secret ending to the actual bbs scene, the secret movie was so much darker and more intense.

It's quite odd and perfect that you got master Gula's faction Everglow because as shown in the back cover teaser trailer Master Gula is murdered in daybreak town by Master Aced so it was like your character was fighting in the Keyblade war to help protect his friends, but to honor Master Gula's memory as literally his most powerful warrior. Because every other Foreteller Master is there in the battle as it would have been shown in the cut scenes for back cover.

I knew that Ira was going to be the toughest Foreteller for you to beat Everglow, I mean he can take down half of your health with his powerful light attack. Yet, nice job facing him Everglow no one else would probably be able to stand up to him as easily as you did.

Man, this is why I hate and love SE. They take these games that seem so light hearted and fun and inconsequential, and then try to absolutely devastate our souls with it. It's what makes Square stories so interesting - other companies tend to hop on the "last cool battle" ideal or "its obviously meant to be soul crushing". Give or take, but Square just likes to hammer it in - see FFIX for reference.

So, I what I understood is that the realm of Unchained is actually inside of Kingdom Hearts (I think that huge light is Kingdom Hearts, it seems a bit obvious), and Ephemera, Skuld, and the rest of the Dandelions (maybe including our MC) are inside Kingdom Hearts, waiting for it to be opened again, which will probably happen at the end of KH3?
4:50 Ava learned that the traitor never existed. That the idea of one existing was meant to sow discord into the group. That this coming war was all set up just so that 7 willful darknesses would take refuge in the foreteller's hearts. That, in a way, all of them were falling to darkness.
And her response? To strike down the darkness.
"I told her, clear as day, what it is I had to do. [...] As if. Ava had her own mission, and she carried it out."
And now, we can understand why she was so…desperate, during the Keyblade War.
I think this might be the beginning of the "Light Is Not Good" phase of Kingdom Hearts but don't quote me on that.
I think KH3 is about protecting the Kingdom Hearts of Keys from Xehanort. Xehanort wants to make an evil key blade master army with the hearts collected in kingdom hearts from this very battle. Make them into nightmares instead of masters of dreams (I think). Since Sora assimilated Ventus's heart and Aqua is not dead and some others, they are the last hope of feeing the hearts from kingdom hearts and restoring key blade wielders. :)

I couldn't stop saying Oh my god and WHAT!!! When I saw the credits my mind was blown! Not a single picture with us on it. And Ephamera and Skulled took our place instead! WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!
What if we weren't the main characters after all and those 2 were all along and we just got caught up in main character things and died, meaning they may have lived and finished the dandelion plan but at the end the credits said "wake up again" or something like that so does that mean we are in a slumber like Ventus
My theory takes it to a level of insanity. Remember the card that they made just to celebrate the anniversary of kingdom hearts chi? It had Sora,Kiri and Riku, but also Skulled, Enphemera(Sorry if I spelled it wrong) and... Ven? Why? And why does he look different? What if I told you the cannon 3rd wheel was Ven! I know it sounds crazy but listen. We ha Ven yet another Ven/Roxas look alike. I dont think having 3 of them would be good for the fan community. But think about it. For all we know the ending was a hallucination before Ven was put to rest. Ven could have been awaken by Xehanort for some reason. But look at how Xehanort. White hair and gold(If you want to call then that... its some sort of yellow) eyes. Skulled has his eyes and Enphemera has his hair. What does it mean? Who knows. Child? Fusion? Or is it something else? I hope we find out soon.
It could just mean they needed an ending that is the same for everyone, no matter how your character looks.
There are many games that do the same even with custom character. Remember, nothing in kingdom hearts is there without a reason. Everything is linked.

That... was so EPIC *o* Oh my when we'll get to see that in KHXBC that's gonna be so amazing !!! Even though there are some things I still don't really get... Like, what is that Unchained state they were talking about ? Where are the X-Blade and Kingdom Hearts ? Where are the Dandelions heading to ? (I guess well find out in Unchained X !) What are the translators gonna do when they'll realize that "Special Attack Bonus" is dumb and that they needed to call it Guilt ?
Anyway, this was a great ending, even if there weren't that many answers ! There is still one short episode released on August 28th (or 29th) though so many that's gonna be interesting !
As for who is the traitor, I think Invi is ! Not necessarily because of what's written on the Lost Page but rather because of what she says "Sorry for dragging you into all this" so that sounds a lot like it's her fault if the Keyblade War happened ! That could just be her talking on behalf of all the Foretellers but I think there is more :/ I mean, she is totally useless during the entire game, like really, if you are not in Anguis, that's the first time she speaks ! We don't know anything about her, she could be the one who "misread the truth and went into secrecy" ! Or my other guesses are Ava and the MoM himself (whom we didn't see, that's disappointing... btw we didn't even see the real face of any of the Foretellers or Luxu, that too was kinda disappointing !) Ava may have misinterpreted something the book said and created the Dandelions in secrecy (and also she just pops on the battlefield whereas she said she wanted to avoid fighting and says that there are secrets we must never learn (but unfortunately for her we will in KHXBC)) and the MoM may have misread the future and then disappeared and led the world to a Keyblade War because he thought it was necessary or something? But that would be weird though that the guy who misread the truth would write that he made a mistake and still commit it !

If Luxu had the same keyblade Xenahort did. Then he could be the one who trained both Eraquis and Xenahort or not
Infinity 95 No,neither Xehanort or Eraqus were born . In Back cover the Master told Luxu to pass No Name(the keyblade) down to a new apprentice so that the book of prophecies can be created ,so their master was an apprentice of that lineage (unless Luxu time travelled )
I like how there are probably multiple variants to this because each union fights 4 different Foretellers
Ive got a theory: We were created in the Awakening as dreameaters/living keyblades to choose which foreteller we follow, following thier every command with no question whatsoever. The master did not like this, seeing his students be dumb enough to use "us" for thier own personal gain. So the master devised a plan to see if the 5 foretellers would be wise enough to change thier ways. In order to do so he created the book of prophecies and gave them all to his students. He ordered Luxu (or Luxu himself) to rip one page of the book of prophecies and let the balance of light and darkness be disrupted (maybe by the foretellers foretellers using us). This would be the test for the foretellers (or plan for Luxu to get rid of the light once and for all). Unfortunately the foretellers have not succeeded, still using us as tools. Until finally we start the keyblade war. unbeknownst to ourselves we are the ones who can either began or stop the war. the sentences in parentheses are for another theory ive though of that shows that Luxu mightve done all of this in the name of darkness without the master's orders.
that doesn't fully make sense because the unions were made after they got the prophecies. that's kind of the reason why the unions were created in the first place.

That would make sense because Ava clearly ask luxu " what was written on the lost page" so she did not know which means none of the other foretellers knew.... EXCEPT gula. Luxu most likely approached him and told him what was going to happen . "The one who would misread and step into secrecy " could be Ava or gula

That would also explain why Aced (ursus) is fighting him in the 2.8 back cover trailer. Also. How is that he knew what was written on the lost page and the other foretellers did not? Ava clearly says to luxu " what was written on the lost page " so that shows that she didn't know and which means that the other foretellers didn't either . Think back to the 2.8 back cover trailer . When master Ira and master invi are talking Ira says " there's nothing written about this in the book" so which means the foretellers don't know what's on the lost page EXCEPT for gula and luxu which leads me to believe that GULA is the traitor . He knew what was gonna happen. But sat back and watched . Maybe even misleading Ava . Ava most likely thought she could prevent the Keyblade war but was unknowingly being used the whole time playing right into destinys hand. Gula knowing she would do that most likely started leaving Hints to the other foretellers that she is the traitor . Taking heat off him. That's why in the 2.8 back cover trailer it shows him following her around . Over all? Gula is the traitor. Not Ava. Ava was just a pawn being used to ensure everything went according to plan. Luxu like he said was only there to watch. His REAL mission is in the future .
Also when luxu says " that is the true identity of the traitor can you accept this as truth?" He wouldn't be referring to Ava . He would be referring to gula because gula and Ava were friends . That's why she can't accept it as truth !. And that's why she says " I can't believe it's true " because her and gula were friends. Closer than the other foretellers . Also that's why it keeps switching back to gula . There you go. The traitor is gula . Sucks I chose his union to also ? Look closely at gula in the KH Back Cover trailer. He's sitting with his back turned away from the other foretellers . He clearly looks guilty while everyone else is sitting at the table discussing who the traitor could be, .
So yes gula is the traitor . He knows the lost pages or atleast a bit of it. Think about it? When gula says the quote about "one stepping into secrecy "skuld ask him " what's that " he says " a piece of the lost page " so he clearly either had the lost page or had seen it .whther it was through luxu ? Or his self . But most likely through luxu he saw the lost page. In the end . Gula is the traitor . Nobody expects him because well maybe he's innocent . Kinda like nobody expected Ventus to contain the power to make the X blade in Birth by sleep . Aqua and terra were shocked when they found out . It all makes sense I bet I'm right . It's to obvious to be aced. Ava was being used . Ira is talking to luxu in back cover asking a way to stop it all . And invi is seen fighting aced in back cover . But we don't know why but I believe that it is due to aceds anger snd maybe he snaps on invi . Sooooo... Yea gula ... STILL A PRETTY GOOD DOCTOR did I blow you guys mind? Let me know what you guys think lol. And the whole X blade thing would make sense . Seeing as Ventus was the X blade in KH BBS. Gula would be the X blade or one to wield it in this time period. Maybe the master of masters knew this. And wanted this to happen.. So he tricked gula and luxu . Luxu has Xehanorts Keyblade. So it would make sense for there to be a tie between him and gula Kinda like there was a tie between Xehanort and Ventus in BBS ... Boom goes the dynamite . Can't fool me tetsuya . Thats a pretty good theory, but I don't actually think that Gula is the traitor. Yes he seems to feel guilty, but that doesn't make him the traitor. My guess is that Luxu informed him of the missing page and it's content to make him distrust the other foretellers because everyone could have been the one who would start the fight and he probably didn't want to be involved when someone starts attacking the others to trigger the war. That would at least explain his distance to the others and his pose in the Backcover Trailer, because he knew that he couldn't change the situation by telling the others about the missing page's content (This just would have made him damn suspicious for the other foretellers and everyone would have distrusted everyone then) I think he wanted to help Ava as a friend by telling her where to find Luxu because he could have known where Luxu went after telling him about the page (It's a squishy theory but thats what I think) And no I don't think he wanted to initiate the fight between Ava and Luxu with this information. So these are my thoughts about your theory, you could be right with that but I just don't believe in it :) p.s. sry. for my bad english, it's just not my main language :)

Oh my... I actually really enjoyed this game once the story picked up! Great to finally see what happened before the events of the Keyblade War and to see the massive build up of it.
But seriously. WHO WAS THE TRAITOR?! WHY DID LUXU TELL AVA WHO THE TRAITOR WAS BUT NOT US?! I so wanted to find out who the traitor was in here! Gah... Okay, I'm putting my hopes on finding out who the traitor is in X Back Cover. I swear though, if I don't get an answer about the traitor in that movie I am gonna be pissed.
And holy damn that final battle! This was such an emotional ending and I can't even explain why because I'm in that much awe! I'm even more hyped to watch X Back Cover now, which will be straight after the last episode of this!

WHAT IF KINGDOM HEARTS IS ALL OF THE HEARTS OF THOSE THAT DIED FIGHTING IN THE KEYBLADE WAR..... and that last scene was your character completing kingdom hearts?? What if guys?
The weird thing is that in the story, the χ-blade and kingdom hearts were never seen or talked about. We didn't even see the world plunged into darkness or the χ-blade shattered.

He could certainly have "misread the truth" and definitely did "step into secrecy". And when Luxu tells Ava the identity of the traitor, if it was herself, she wouldn't act like that. But if it was Ephemera, someone she cared about, that's definitely a reasonable reaction by denying and refusing to believe it. And then Ephemera takes your place in the credits....

They didn't show the right ending. It was to show our ending in the series. I think when 2.8 come out it'll show how the masters ending end in this timeline.
After this ending, I think the traitor is THE MASTER, because he want all of this to happened. He puts his apprentices against one another.
At first I was thinking that the traitor was Ava until the misread the truth and went into secrecy one of those things she didn't do was misread the prophecy just tried to change the outcome of it.

Either way, I'm starting to support the reincarnation theory more and more, or maybe the keyblade weilders we know of are the future counterparts of the foretellers, because seriously though, Aced and Invi's special attacks are really similar to Terra and Aqua's attacks!

Holy shit... The final line with voice acting... The whole thing I nearly cried... I could've actually, shame I wasn't alone, but wow... It's over now. I have so many questions, or rather, a few. What happens to the player..? Do they go off with them? Did they die? What happens afterwards? (besides BBS though) Who was the traitor? (I might've missed it, wasn't sure though)

You know if there's one thing II would criticize about this game, it that the health bar are sort of absurd. I like it better in unchained where you can see it dropping, it's just that the bosses have 13+ health bars you have to whittle through. I can hardly tell when this one moves.
Other than that though this has been a pretty interesting story. By the time I post this I'm at the nightmare chirithy fight. I'm on the edge of my seat for what's next.👍🏿
Yeah. I think this is the reason I like Unchained Chi more. That and the use of level select. Sure wish Unchained has theater mode though. :(
