Thanks for the videos! We're a new Mini-Z racing family... my 6-yr old is the driver, and me and the 3-yr old are pit crew. We saw your review/ install of Porsche and did same (your parts list helped a lot) and worked out beautifully. Great content you're uploading and helping newbies like us learn a ton!
Awesome! Glad you guys are enjoying the videos. I like making them and hope it helps some. Good luck and enjoy the hobby with the kids. My 6 year old daughter loves the Mario kart I put together.
HI, My name is Vince I have a question: I would like to order an inexpensive TX and RX for my future Kyosho MR04 EVO 2! Can I use the Kyosho KT531P ? Do you ( or somebody) have a tip for an affordable TX and RX? e.g Vince
Hi. I have one question. Why my miniz Evo stop running for 3/4 second after a 'incident'? Also for little crash, it stop work Any solution? Maybe I have to set whit pc program?
I need to bind the KYO82040 receiver unit with a second remote since the first transmitter is now gone. I can't get the new transmitter to bind. Is there a process to reset the KYO82040 receiver unit? Never had an issue like this before.
Luis Rubio I know when I was having issues with my first evo we bound several EX6 transmitters to the receiver. We just followed the same procedures like we I did with my initial and had no issues pairing other transmitters. Basically you can start over with a new transmitter as long as it’s ASF or MHS with this unit. Not sure that helps but I don’t know why the second won’t pair.
Hey bud. Glad I found your video. I have the same evo chassis and an ex6r transmitter also. I was wondering if you had any advice or directions for changing it with the ics to run a brushed motor.
Hey! I haven’t put a brushed motor on the evo yet, but on the ics manager I think it is either a drop down menu or a box to check. I think the ics piece is fairly simple. We did have one of our guys who changed it from brushless to brushed and didn’t have any issues.
I’m trying to get into the hobby but I’m not sure which chassis and receiver to pick. I’m also a bit confused on how stock and modified cars are classified. any advice?
Owen Kuwayti Hey welcome to Mini-z! So not sure your RC experience or if you have a mini z group close by but if you are brand new and just getting into it one of the RWD kits would probably be the least expensive route until you get into it a little more. www.kenonhobby.com/Kyosho-Mini-Z-MR03-RWD-Sauber-Mercedes-C9-No-63-LM-1989-MR-03-Ready-Set_p_46161.html Stock vs Modified depends on the local club rules. But stock generally is with minimal upgrades (tires, t-plate, wheels). Modified is wide open AWD, 3d printed chassis what ever you want to run.
I just bought my first mini ZMR03 I got it for around 80 bucks off of eBay I thought it had a transmitter but it does not in the box says it cost for the JTHE I can’t find them for a little less than $100 is there any alternatives as the box says KT 18 or a Quillivant I see the KT 19 for $40 With that work if I had known that I would have went to head and bought a ready said Minisee brand new for not much more money as I am learning these things are pretty Complicated
So is the car say ASF on the top plate? If so the KT18 is probably the cheapest option. Keep an eye on ebay, sometimes they pop up. The other option for ASF is EX6 which is over $200. If it is ASF $80 is a pretty good deal. If you are just looking for a beginner the RWD version might be a good option and they are $100 to $175 with a radio. When you are just getting into it the frequencies can be confusing. I started with a Sport/RWD version and once I knew I was going to be I made the investment in an EX6.
Not sure if it available yet but take a look at Kyosho America site to see if you can find it. Maybe shoot them an email. They usually get back pretty quick with questions.
