I get kidney stones too. EVERYTIME I feel like jumping in-front of a moving bus just to stop the pain. It’s extremely painful and I don’t wish them on anyone.
Seee… Before I didn’t know what they looked like I was like, “oh cool”. Then when I saw the picture I realize that I’ve just seen something that came out of Nicks genitalia. I mean hey it’s something I would send to the rest of The Boys, but maybe not the entire world😂😂😂
Passing one currently, feels like pissing glass. Hereditary stones blow. I had to have a tube installed in me / minor surgery cause one was so big. Good times. I hope you the least amount of pain as possible when passing.
I remember when I was five, my dad was having a kidney stone. He told me to call my grandmother, so I did (My mother doesn't live with me, not even back then, so I couldn't call her.). It was horrifying for me, he was on his knees crying next to his bed and yelling from the pain. He got kidney stones because of his old addiction to Mountain Dew. He doesn't drink it anymore.
My mom currently has kidney stones and thank God she does because we just found out she has cancer and now we can treat it without scare. ❤ (she went to the doctors for the stone's and found out)
As a woman that has a condition that causes kidney stones (passed 78 in the last 14 years and currently have 12 in my kidney) yes it does infact hurt worse than giving birth on some stones not all but some especially if they are jack stones which tend tomget stuck in the lining of your ureter, bladder or urethra or are large enough to cause a blockage and rupture your kidney.
I've had kidney stones myself, twice. I was told that they come from ingesting either too much calcium or too much sodium. Mine were a combination of both. Lowered my intake of dairy products and salt and haven't had any recurrence since. That was in 1978 or '79. Your nurse was right, it was the most excruciating pain that I have ever felt in my life.
omg I feel you, I also have that and it's f*ckin horrible, that moment you have to force it out when peeing is excruciatingly painful AF and it's also very exhausting...
My mum had 8 kids, only one C-section out of eight, and she said passing kidney stones was the worst pain she’d experienced. My brother passed some just this week as well.
Well it depends on the size of the kidneystone i would say, but damn those f*cks are no fun. I had one rumbling on a sunday morning around 5am you can not sit, lay or stand without pain and it´s a weird pain like a little person on your back pushing his knee constant on your kidney ( it´s the best way i can describe it ), i think it was just a "little" one. Got pain meds and was send on my way Doc said lot´s of walking and he goes out ( the one way he can ) i did this and is just in my case it was just a zing ( allmost like a little electric shock)
Dandelion root tincture. Look it up. My dad is prone to Kidney stones too, when he feels it he starts taking dandelion root tincture. Passes them almost painlessly as long as he takes the treatment.
My family has a history of kidney stones too Nick, I haven’t gotten them yet but we have thought before that I’ve had them and I can’t imagine what pain is worse than the pain I felt the night we thought I had one. Glad you’ve passed it tho :)
My grandma got kidney stone and she said it was more painful the all her child births and period cramps. It was the most painful thing she’s ever experienced. 😢
Kidney stones are NO joke! I’ve had two ‘widow-maker’ heart attacks (the first and worst at age 35) and more recently a burst appendicitis. I’d take all of these again before having either of the two kidney stones I’ve passed. Just found your channel tonight, Nick. You are adorable. ☺️
I’ve passed one and wow I almost blacked out with the crippling pain. I was moving my body in unnatural ways to try and relieve the agony. They gave me morphine!
as someone whos passed two as well. one at walmart its is very unpleasant and my attending nurse on my second one said the same thing that she would rather give birth then have a kidney stone. godspeed brother
England may not have a kidney stone But it does have a Liverpool What did one kidney stone sag to the other kidney stone? Urine trouble My friend asked if I want to buy his kidney stones I said that’s a hard pass And Yes I did just Google kidney stone jokes And laughed out loud to all of these
My dad is a big 6’4 guy who is scary looking and not much affects him pain wise but he’s had four kidney stones and those were the only times I’ve seen him in that much pain
I feel for you on this one, my brother had kidney stones and watching the pain he went through was intense 😕 Try some apple cider vinegar, that helps too!! ❤
Get apple cider vinegar. You can get capsules. But the acetic acid has been shown to help dissolve the stones more effectively. Also you should be drinking like a half a gallon of water daily tbh. You may think you drink enough water but none of us do. I personally drink between a half gallon to a gallon + a day but that’s also because of my job.
It is one of the most painful experiences you can have. I worked at the gynocology ward during my first medical internship and we had a special pain meds mix for people with kidney stones. They were told to drink water and walk around.
Add apple cider vinegar in your water it helps to my family gets them A LOT and I probably will one day too my dad just got one a a while back stills in him he has a stint in him and we are waiting for the doctors to contact us for his surgery 😬👏
Broooo i just cherched about the biggest kidney stone in the world: Canistus Coonghe, a retired soldier in his sixties, not only possessed the biggest kidney stone, but also the heaviest one. On June 1, a group of urologists removed it. The largest kidney stone ever recorded weighs 1.76 pounds, or nearly the equivalent of five baseballs.
My mum had one too but she brushed it of and was going to work and continue to do all her chores on meds, then they stopped working and she still didn't go to hospital (I live in Poland, it's not because healthcare is expensive, she just didn't want to go), after week in bed she finally decided to go to a doctor (not hospital or er, just a family Dr) and she peed out the stone before her appointment, with a lot of pain and bleeding, without any meds.
I agree w/ the nurse about passing a kidney stone vs giving birth! I started getting them when I was pregnant w/ my daughter, and haven't stopped since. 🥴 I seriously feel for you, dude; the pain a kdney stone causes is sooo underrated! Praying that you stop getting these little rock monsters! 🙏🏻
This was how I scared my younger brother into stopping the constant flow of soda and juice and into drinking a lot more water. Just knowing about the existence of kidney stones and how horrible it is to pass them was enough for him. He's older now but the fear of getting kidney stones will always linger as it will for many others....
I passed one aswell it was very very painful and after passing it hurts. I also have more to. I believe it was because I let myself get to dehydrated this summer. And was neglectful to my health because of depression. But now I am drinking tons more water
Yo I saw my aunt dealing with a kidney stone years ago and have a coworker who just was in a bad condition and almost died from hers. If it’s hard for a woman to pass, I can’t imagine what it’s like for a guy. The hole is so tiny!
the medicine my dad is on has a side affect of kidney stones, but he already gets the pretty regularly… needless to say he’s passed about 5 this past week
I started having stones too when I was 15. Worst pain of my life. My first stone was 11 millimeters in diameter, and I had to have shock wave lithotripsy. I’ve had multiple since then, but after a few years without any, I thought that part of my life was behind me, until I felt that familiar pain a few months ago. And yeah, I drink a ton of lemon water. Not fun.
I had kidney stones removed three years ago. One was the size of a golf ball. The other was the size of a grape. They sent a device inside my body to use lasers to break up the stones which I later passed in tiny pieces. The pain I experienced was unlike any other agony I had ever been through. Just for reference, I had previously been through chemotherapy, radiation treatment, had been in a coma due to a head injury, I have had broken bones and I have been shot. I have also had several excruciating toothaches where extraction or root canal therapy was eventually needed. Oh and I almost forgot, I have had a herniated disk. I would choose any of those other things to experience 100 times again before I would be willing to experience kidney stones again. My urologist informed me that the following can cause kidney stones. Coca Cola, Pepsi Cola, root beer, Dr. Pepper, any cola or dark colored soda with or without sugar. Coffee, Tea, Chocolate including chocolate milk. Excessive consumption of antacid tablets. and this was a shock, green leafy vegetables. I spent years drinking almost two liters of diet Dr. Pepper every day and due to diabetes I ate a lot of green leafy vegetables. Well I can live without the Dr. Pepper. But due to digestive issues, I can't digest meat without green leafy vegetables and I can't consume enough plant based proteins for minimum nutrition needs without consuming too much starch for my diabetic diet so I need meat to survive and I can't eat that without the greens. So basically the doctor gave me a death sentence as kidney stones will, without treatment, kill you and frequent development of kidney stones over an extended period will kill you anyways. Then I was relieved when my dr. explained that lemon juice will prevent kidney stones as long as I avoid the dark soda and antacids. So my beverage of choice is now lemonade. The problem is there are no brands of sugar free lemonade and I can't drink it with sugar. So, I have become an expert in making home made sugar free lemonade. I consume about 2-3 liters of it daily and the occasional diet sugar free Sprite which is also a good choice but is WAY too expensive and soda, even diet soda, isn't really good for you anyways. So far no more kidney stones.
Yup Nick brother I feel ya man. I am now 36 got my 1st stone when I was 24 I have passed 9 kidney stones to date!. Soo I 100% get it!. I am thee same way my body just makes’em I drink way to much water to get them dude to lack of water lol. Anyways bro I 10000000000% feel & understand your pain!
