For the past fifteen to twenty years, I have been using a Kensington Expert Mouse and I absolutely love the large ball that it comes with. However, I have never been a fan of the scroll wheel. It feels cheap and clunky and even after buying three of them, the quality didn't improve. It's disappointing that they haven't made any improvements to this model, especially considering how great the trackball is. I'm also surprised that Logitech hasn't created a trackball mouse with a similar size ball. I decided to give Logitech's MX Master 3S a try because it got great reviews and does a lot, but I was wondering how I was going to feel about using a mouse again. Sure enough, my hand started hurting for the first time in a while. I plan to order this mouse today and see how I like the thumb ball. Thank you for your work you put into this and I love your smile! 😃

you were right. the software is really essential to the experience. I was wondering why everything was tracking so slowly, and when I downloaded and fired up the application for the first time it said it was tracking at 50% speed! Thanks!
Is there anyway to make the scroll wheel not "clicky" I just want to smooth scroll off the wheel. Thanks for the review. Still getting the hang of this mouse!
How do you feel about the click weight (made up term) of the right button especially? I find myself accidentally right-clicking all day long just because of the weight of my finger resting on it. It's my biggest strike against this otherwise excellent device. And thanks for the tip about the horizontal scroll. I've been using the two buttons to the left of the left button (forward/back?) to switch desktops, but this makes much more intuitive sense.
The biggest flaw to me is definitely the main buttons. I do the same thing sometimes where I accidently click the left but my bigger issue with it is how loud the clicking is. I'm surprised they overlooked something so seemingly simple.
