  • The history of the Falcon began to be written in the United States in the mid-1950s, a time when Ford Motor Company executives reinforced plans to create more compact, economical, and fuel-efficient cars. In this context, Ford began designing a model with a 6-cylinder engine, which saw the light of day at the end of 1959 under the name Falcon.
That same year, the Argentine government gave a significant boost to the national automotive industry under the "Automotive Industry Promotion Regime". Some models were imported for testing, and in 1962, the Falcon began to be produced in Argentina.
Standard, Deluxe, Futura, Sprint, Ranchero, Rural, Ghia... Nearly half a million units produced between 1962 and 1991, far from dying, the Falcon continues to serve on the streets, in races, and in the hearts of Argentine car enthusiasts.
With 23 championships in Turismo Carretera, the noble Ford Falcon stands as one of the main representatives of Argentine motorsport. Not only is it still present in national categories, but many drivers in regional categories, 1/4 mile races, and enthusiasts also continue to rely on the virtues of the model powered by the marvelous 188 and 221 engines.
I invite you to turn up the volume and enjoy this compilation featuring the best sounds from Track Day Argentina, 300 Libre, Procar 4000, TC Regional, Turismo Carretera, TC Pista, and some car enthusiast meetups.
