- Kumrat (کُمراٹ) is a beautiful valley in the Upper Dir District of KPK province in Pakistan. Kumrat Valley is located about 45 minutes away from the town of Thal on the banks of the Panjkora River.
This video is complete VLOG of our journey from Islamabad to Kumrat. We booked hotels through Kumrat Valley Tour operators [ / kumratvalleypak ] who waited for us in Thal. The road condition after Shringal is very bad and most of it is uncarpeted. In Thal we changed to 4*4 to reach Kumrat valley.

Your are welcome dear... yes the bikes can go from Thal (where we took jeep) to Kumrat forest or MOM touch hotel. The bikes even can go to Kumrat waterfall. Only the issue is crossing waterways on dirt road which is a bit trickier.. in nutshell bikes can go to northern kumrat from Thal. I have seen many bikers deep in northern Kumrat. Best of luck

May i know how much this trip cost u ... all cost including petrol, hotel rooms, food all ?
We managed to do the trip in 85000 Rs. i.e. 17000 Rs. per person (We were 5). This includes three night stay in different hotels, all food, petrol, jeep costs. We covered following places:
1. Kumrat valley (Chota kumrat fall, bara kumrat fall, Kala chashma) (done in package given below)
2. Badgoi Pass
3. Jahaz Banda
We actually went with package done with Kumrat valley tours (facebook.com/KumratValleypak/).
For kumrat they asked for 35000 Rs for five person that includes breakfast and dinners with following details:
1. Friday night: Pickup from Thal (Secure parking for your car at thal included)
2. Friday night to Sunday morning: Stay at Mom Touch Hotel (Two nights)
3. Saturday: Jeep for travelling to north of kumrat to see Bara waterfall and Kala Chashma
4. Sunday: Drop back at thal where the car is parked
*Above package didnot include Badgoi pass and Jahaz Banda. We planned it on-spot.
Hotel in Kumrat are costlier than the hotels in Thal. Many travelers stay at Thal and travel in jeeps in morning to Kumrat and come back to thal at night. This is perfectly possible. The average hotel room cost in thal is 2500 per night only. The average hotel room cost in northern kumrat is around 5000 per night. Another positive thing to stay at Thal is that all the roads to other destinations e.g. Jahaz banda or Badgaoi pass go from Thal.
The only bad side of living at Thal is that one cannot enjoy the night in the serenity and peace of northern Kumrat valley.
Jeep cost from Thal to upper Kumrat is 8000 Rs (Do janga)
Jeep cost from Thal to tikki top (For jahaz banda) is also 8000 rs.
Jeep cost from Thal to Badgaoi pass is also 8000 Rs.

شیخ صاحب یہ بتائیں سب کو کیا فیملی کے ساتھ سفر کرنا مناسب نہیں ہے رستہ انتہائی خراب ہے اور بس سٹیشن بتائیں کہ روڈ بہت خراب ہے اور پھر اس میں خطرہ بھی ہے
جی بلکل فیملی کے ساتھ سفر کیا جا سکتا ہے- کافی فیملیز اتی ہیں- بس روڈ خراب ہے جس وجہ سے شرینگل سے لے کر تھل کا صرف چالیس کلومیٹر کا سفر تین گھنٹے لے لیتا ہے- شرینگل سے پہلے روڈ ٹھیک ہے - آپ فیملی کے ساتھ جاسکتے ہیں
آپ اپنے شہر کے لاری آڈے سے دیر کی بسوں کا پتہ کرلیں- بہت سے لوگ اپنے علاقوں سے مردان آجاتے ہیں - مردان اڈے سے اپر دیر کی بس ارام سے مل جاتی ہے
