Had my 500 sports since new (registered Feb 2020) up to today it's had its annual services and 2 front tyres. That's it. 4.5 years without any issue. My big suggestion get it serviced on time and in a fiat dealer. They use correct oil. Parts. And provide software updates. And they know any things to look for.
Have a Fiat 500x 1.6 diesel and a Tiguan 2.0 diesel, same age, but the VW has had a new clutch etc. No problem with the Fiat.

thanks for the honest review. for me i'd be looking to own it for more than 5 years and I wouldn't want a money pit of unnecessary repairs.
Plus I’ve owned my Fiat 500L since 2013 and no issues at all
I just needed to hear this review thank you so much!
Good to see you back👍🏻
Mooi - good to be back
Fiat 500X is no different than any other car. Take care of it and it will take care of you. My 2016 going on 8 years.
Well I have a Fiat that no one reviews or sees driving around it’s called 500L 4 door. I am looking at downgrading to a 500x

It's a real pity that the Fiat 500 Sport is no longer for sale in SA. I genuinely loved it! Check it out: ruclips.net/video/OHS2qGRwABw/видео.html
