+jmantime 5:10 that's not an Orionwagon II, that's an interwar Grosstraktor probably being tested in Russia going by the attire the men a re wearing, black leather for the Soviet inspectors
I'd say the speed estimates are pretty liberal on the armored cars a model T from that era can get to about 45mph on flat straight tracks but 30mph was more likely for the ford. Those having heavy armor and probably geared for torque rather than speed, my guess is fasted one would be about 20-25 mph
The more I watch these vids the more I want to see a Forgotten Weapons Mod for the old BF 1918 mod "the original BF 1942 and the WW1 mod that EA is ripping off of with BF1."
I wouldn't say they are ripping off 1918. Dice said they used for for inspiration, and i some of the devs of 1918 i've talked to recently say they are flattered that dice took their idea and made it into a full fledged battlefield game, since that was the purpose of 1918 to begin with.
much of this is incorrect, some of the LKW tanks shown are Post WW-1 Swedish built units sold to Sweden as "Agricultural Machinery" 5:14 that is NOT an Orionwagon II, it's one of 6 1928 built Experimental Grosstraktor
Great! I didn't watch this information till this moment! It was very intersting. Tanks of WW| always were more intersting then WW|| for me and I just most like thid video.
I'm looking the sizes up and they all say the K-Wagen was larger. For length the k-wagen was ~43 ft and the maus only ~33 ft. For width the k-wagen was ~20 ft and the maus only ~12 ft. The maus was taller and heavier though but the k-wagen much longer and wider.
Wow, I thought the K-wagen only ever existed as a paper tank, never knew they actually built a couple of hulls.
Great video, thanks for taking the time to create it!
Great vid good sir keep up the great work i love the amount of information and work you put in to these videos
I love how these tanks look so primitive
6:10 kind of looks like the Japanese O-I prototype tank
Now those same tanks we see it in Kurdish forces as the Sandcrawler.

Who knew there was an armored car that has a crew of 10

the armor was pretty light , only 3.5 to 6mm over vital areas
the A7V is not forgotten tho, but anyways this is a great video!

at 3:32 that tank reminds me of the Swedish strv light tank.
indeed it is, after the war 10 un-assembled units were sold & shipped over to Sweden as "agricultural machinery" under great secrecy.
Good video
Thanks
So is the K-Wagen the largest tank ever built? I know it beats the Mause, T35, and Char 2c in actual size.
Minus some giant SPGs of course.
no, its only about the size of the maus chassis

+jmantime these are some weird ugly tank I have to say so that where tank history begin
Rjfromthebay2001 there were some tank prototypes designed before ww1
+jmantime so they knew they were have to build them
very cool!
Some weird & wonderful machinery here, mind I’d be wary of firing some of the guns. 👍🏻👍🏻🇦🇺
