The Evoker one blew my mind. Does that occur on Bedrock as well as I used to have a sheep farm on a world where the blue sheep would unexpectedly turn red for no reason. I also did raids in the same area. Now I think I know why. Thanks Pixlriffs
A few questions: 1. What food is the best / which food do you recommend eating. 2. Which wood type do you like the best / easiest to get. 3. How do you find mules and zombie horses outside of creative? Thanks, keep up the great work, loving the series!
Spruce and jungle I'd argue are the easiest to gather in large quantities due to the fact that if you plant a 2x2 of either spruce or jungle saplings you get a very large tree which you can easily get over a stack of logs from. This is of course without building a tree farm. Second either golden carrots or steak is the best food because they provide a ton of saturation which in turn means you need to eat less often outside of combat
Mobs spawn at lightlevel 0. Torches gives off a lightlevel of 14, so in a straight 1-block wide tunnel, they'll need to be 26 blocks apart if placed on the ground level, to prevent any area of the tunnel to have a lightlevel of 0. This distance will be shortened by 2 if you want to place the torches on the wall, 1 block off the ground. For a large area, it gets a bit more complicated due to light not spreading out equally in a square but spreading out in a taxicab distance, creating a diamond shape. If you go with a grid layout of torches, the maximum distance between the torches in any direction is 12 blocks.
Question:- Which method of getting to diamond armour and tools (enchanted) is faster? - Mining for diamonds with fortune - Trading with villagers directly for armour and then enchanting
trading, usually, as of 1.18. once you have villagers that trade diamond tools and armor, it takes extra steps to first put fortune on a pickaxe and then time to mine diamonds through deep slate, as compared to just buying some from a villager, and then maybe removing the enchantments with a grindstone
It would be great to have a comparison to what Java mods can do and what Bedrock add-ons and behavior add-ons can do. Although it might need a video dedicated to it and the knowledge of how Bedrock works...
I'm pretty sure the answer for Java mods is "everything", and Pix doesn't appear to play Bedrock unless there's a very good reason. Also he isn't really into modded Minecraft as a major change in gameplay.
The one-tick sticky piston mechanic. It was on legacy so it makes sense for it to be on Bedrock Flat world customization Off-hand support The good water sounds that aren’t just a deep “SPLOOSH” On Java I think it would be interesting to see the Bedrock bridging and trident killers.
You had mentioned that Illagers could use their Crossbows in conjunction with Johnny's that would target other Mobs at range. While I was initially excited when you mentioned this mechanic, I believe that the Durability would eventually run out and make them Passive Pillagers. Also, Johnny's will only pick up Iron Axes, but I am holding off on giving mine Sharpness V until I can find them a more permanent home, lol. Note: You can also get a Friendly Illager to hold a Banner in its Right Hand, and not just on its back. I'm not sure if they can pick-up other Items, Armor, or if they can use another Crossbow besides the one they broke.

jack'o lanterns. They look back at you when you place them down. They will look at the way home. I also alway write down the coordinates to important places in my world.
a skumpus is a good idea. place a torch on top a block, and then another torch pointing back the way you came. i also do left-hand-on-wall when i’m navigating narrow caves and mineshafts, meaning i just have to put the torches on my right side and i’ll find my way back out.

Love the Easter eggs! Idk how you’re supposed to accidentally find these ones, though. The stumble-across-Easter-egg is the best. Like the Alfred Hitchcock silhouette or “extra” in all of his movies….not something you have to have specialized knowledge about, but something that’s a surprise, and you feel just a tiny bit special for finding it. Fun presentation!
Wololo! As the evoker would say. Manually milking cows upside down into a bucket would be a real pain. :D You need to pull slightly to make it happen, and the milk shoots out, rather than flowing out slowly, so that would create a cow fountain, basically*. :D

Does bread deal more damage than punching? I play Bedrock as well, but I'd definitely struggle beating a hard mode raid without weapons and armor (especially a bow). Vindicators move too fast and hit too hard for me
My favourite part about the Evoker easter egg is that because both the Age of Empires franchise and Mojang are owned by Microsoft, they had the rights to just take the original "Wololo" conversion sound effect from AoE and pop it into Minecraft wholesale.

Great vídeo as always. I hope with the world tour coming that the series isn’t coming to an end or at least that there will be a new season. I’m not new to Minecraft but still very much enjoy watching the evolution of worlds from punching trees to toying with Vindicators for fun.
Id say depending on the update. Major updates break the game. You gotta have to move never loaded chunks anyway if the terrain or something is updated. Or like the village update in 1.14. That was a difficult one to keep the world
Hey Pix. Question: Do you think Mojang will make Java and Bedrock the same in the future? Or merging it into one? Another question: I'm not really into designing. I don't get the mixing of different blocks for a build. I like symmetric and plain designs. Could you help me convert and see the light? Haha.
Toast is actually name of the rabbit of one of the players. The rabbit died and developers paid an homage to the rabbit by adding this secret skin, which is a copy of the Toast's pattern (that is how the rabbit looked like), and creating this little easter egg. So even when the rabbit isn't around irl, it can at least be around in Minecraft.
Question for Ep. 101: What makes a village a village? The wiki states, "A village always consists of at least one acceptable bed and one villager. Rarely, a village structure can generate without beds, thus not qualifying as a village." But you just made a village using one villager and a workstation.
a village is at least one villager with a valid POI, usually a work block. all villagers withinin a specific range of each-other are the same “village,” and any outside of that radius form their own village. stacking raid farms take advantage of the raid distance (96 blocks) and the village distance (24 blocks iirc) to spawn raids in multiple single-villager villages at the same time. ianxofour does a pretty good job of explaining it in his stacking raid farms video
You need to understand a fundamental point of villages. A village is formed if a villager is present and has a Point of Interest, these being Bells, beds, and/or workstations. If a villager has a POI, a village is formed. That's why Pix required a composter; He needed a villager POI. That's also how the raid ended; The POI was destroyed, so the village was destroyed.
TIL that the sheep thing was a Age of Empires reference. I also recall Dinnerbone doing the announcement about migrating accounts to Microsoft, so they worked there at least that recently.
They seem be in Clusters in the ChunkBase Pre-release Maps, so they are much more common than WMs, dependent upon the Full Release. But unless there is some sort of Map, you will either have to Explore for them, use ChunkBase or similar, or use Commands or on the same Map Seed to Locate them.
Q. Will you do a bedrock edition achievement guide this season of the survival guide? Q. Why do we prefer Java over bedrock edition? (Not sure if those questions count about minecraft)
What I want to know is why the Nether soundtrack plays while you are in the overworld. I'm guessing it's an editing thing but "So Below" is an interesting choice.
It was the Jungle Edge Biome, but that may have changed in 1.18, and mainly because it is generally small and difficult to find. Mooshroom Islands are also kind of rare.
you can barely hear it with all the animal noises but the sound that the evoker makes is also similar to the noise that the priest makes in age of empires.
One question for you Pix and I would really appreciate you answering it in 101, what is the longest death message possible? Has it changed or stayed the same since around 3 years ago
Might I suggest a video that answers your question; a video by a youtuber Zedaph, who recently released a video on this objective. For an overview, the longest death message you can get is if a piglin, renamed to max characters, is given a renamed(max characters) crossbow loaded with a deadly firework, and shoots a renamed(max charcters)pet to death. You can accomplish this by throwing a loaded crossbow to a piglin, making the pet sit between you and the piglin, and get one block lower than the piglin, so it barely sees you, but has to hit the pet to hit you.
