Imagine being so incompetent you nerf the AMX 65t, and then buff it again the next round.
Well yes, but actually it is extremely hard for everything to be equally good.
actually when you remember that it was buffed, nerfed and now will be buffed again - and all of this within one year... crazy fail on judgement on changes
At least there touching it...
@@gambler301 Are you actually mentally challenged?
LMAO
Hopefully this is a “better late than never” situation rather than a “too little, too late” one
Right said Fred 😜
Everything wargaming does in the balance department is either wrong or too late
Totally agree!!
Man I love my ST-II I hope and pray that this buff will help thr tank (and they won't nerf it back because It became OP like those French HTs). I would love if they buff, even a bit, the armor (the chassis and the weakspot in the turret).
In my opinion, they should buff the MVY too (maybe improve the armor in the turret roof, the chassis and sides too, so It won't get penetrated that often, even while sidescraping)
They should NERF even more those OP reward tanks (Chief and 279 e) the armor and gun in those tanks are GOD LIKE!
@@rogiro5759 hell no to buffing the armor and cupola. I was bouncing for days off a st2 cupola in my super conq with ap. you already have to fire goald rounds to even remotely reliably pen it. it's already small enough so buffing it and the overall armor would make it op
@@deonte9014 Oh it might be true, yeah the weakspot is almost cheese with gold rounds, but with normal rounds is hard to pen. Yeah I preffer tiny buffs, as you suggest, so we won't have more OP tanks running around.
The broke HE on purpose then they release a premium with super high pen HE premium round to get around the nerfs that they themselves implemented. That wasn't a mistake. That was intentional.
Oh they're gonna release a new OP tier 10 after they nerf the Chief. Suckers who whine about "blyance" are gonna say it's just a coincidence though.
@@JosephSmith-lq5qbnothing will change with these nerfs buddy, idiot proof armor is the same;)
Quit lying. HE never countered 279e or Chieftain. What it did was allow Foch 155, 60tp, FV, etc. to blast Maus and E-100 in the turret for ridiculous amounts of damage.
The old HE system was stupid. It rewarded poor aim and punished slow super heavies that couldn't stop you from splashing their extremities. It made no sense to count an HE shell into the gun mantle as a splash on the top deck.
The HE changes were universal buffs for any skilled player. You can now penetrate tracks and spaced armor with them. HE is more consistent than ever before, especially for smaller caliber HE. Long gone are the days of RNG slamming your HE shell into tracks for a 50 damage splash instead of a 500 damage pen.
BZ-176 would be toxic even if it had 1:1 HE pen of 160mm. That's enough to pen a ton of T6-7 tanks frontally. The BZ is overpowered because of the combination of alpha, armor and flexibility. It's mobile, has insane gun depression, and functionally no weakspots. The armor requires T10 HEAT to pen it frontally. There's already a worse version of the BZ in the game from several years ago; Tornvagn. It has all the same makings, minus the alpha damage and mobility.
BZ just needs an alpha nerf and a little touch up on the armor. Reduce alpha to 600 and effective armor under 300mm and now you have 1.5k DPM and a turret that gets lolpenned by most T9-10 tanks. That's even worse than Tornvagn and you'll see it drop in usage instantly.
You give Wargaming WAY TOO MUCH credit to have such intentional HE foresight and long-term planning. Have you forgotten all the other stupid things they have done and continue to do?
@@carneasadaburrito I don't think it was a master plan for the BZ176. I think they broke HE intentionally, then later they wanted an OP HE tank (for the loot boxes) so they intentionally excluded it from what they did to HE on other tanks by giving it exceptionally high pen.
Honestly very excited about the changes to the Pershing. The lack of penetration has really been holding it back. There are tier VI tanks that have better pen. than the Pershing.
I have secretly liked playing the Pershing despite it's shortcomings lol
Yup, might even buy the Pershing back! Sold it as soon as I'd got the M46 due to the pain it had inflicted. It was almost better to go with the 105mm howitzer, at least when HE was a thing. And the M46 was just as bad, so sold that one too, after I'd got past it!
T44 would like to speak with you
T26E4 cries in corner
man, game mechanics are fuk up
WG: the ST-II is underperforming since it's release!
Me: It's okay Pz.VII, I'm sure WG will remember you some day
Can't even side scrape with those damn cheeks on the side, which is borderline unacceptable for a rear mounted turret
Never see the standard Pz in the best replays - but its reward tank brother ? Dominates
2002 wants it's They say Me say back and forth nonsense back.
@@animalyze7120 did you report my comment ?
Regarding the 45.02: Before you commit too heavily to that judgement, play the tank. It is currently so bad it made me rethink whether or not I really wanted the tier 10 on that line. Having to complete the grind in it was the major factor in me answering 'no'.
Still, that upper glacis armor is getting a massive buff, even better than the tier 9. Tank is bad as hell though
pen is still gonna suck. It will become a german K2
@@juanjodpr Guess you didn't pay attention to is gun penetration huh ?
Honestly, at the moment, it's very much not worth the suffering to grind thru it, especially that even the T10 is not that good
The Vk 45.02 buffs are extremely necessary. It will still be weak tank compared to others, because you still can shoot him in his "armpits" above the tracks. Not to forget the moment you turn your turret just 10 degree, the sides become immediately green, even with the 20mm buff.
I think the bat chat 25t could use a small buff, maybe tank traverse or dispersion/aim time
or an ammo count increase.
how about no camo drop during move like light tanks
I rather bcr 25t get more ammo as it stands it's balanced but ammo is it's worst enemy
I hope so, too. More ammo and some gun handling buff would be cool.
More ammo and better traverse and reverse speed would be pretty cool.
I have a feeling that Wargaming aren't doing too well financially, so they try to bring older players back by finally fixing some of the core problems of the game. There's no way it took them years to see how OP the Obj. 279 (e) is.
It's more likely that it was change of leadership and devs
They moved their entire design studio out of Russia
@@wapniak666 this is very likely the very reason behind all these recent changes to the game.
Russia based studio would have NEVER made a rather competent Tier X German heavy like the recent assembly tank.
While i think it's probably more of the case of changing personnel. I'ts true that WG has become way more cash hungry recently. They kept rolling out boxes and workshops one after another.
I noticed the numbers playing have dropped quite a bit.
@@LL-fb8wz well it's a 13 year old game
How many games do you know that are older but still played but as many people as wot?
I like the idea of touching Premium tanks. Just because it is a premium it doesn't mean it should be abandoned and either completely useless or OP
They haven't nerfed any just buffed a few
You like the idea?
There have been a good few p[remium tank nerfs hidden away over the years. Skorpion G and the E25 being case points.
If WG gives the money back, they can nerf it. else, i bought it, do not though it! Else they can nerf all but mine.
@@GShadow42you literally dont own any tanks, you just "borrow" their products

Exactly why I used free experience straight to tier 9
@@Z4coupeuk tier 8 is awesome now
Honestly british heavies was my easiest line
Oh yeah I still have scars from that Black prince grind. The gun was good dmg was good but it was slow by the time you got into range to fight the battle was over. It needs a huge speed buff and that's all the rest of it was good for the tier I felt.
oh man you aint lying the prince was soooooo bad@@animalyze7120
7:05 The reason why tanks like scorpion and su130 have lower stats is because they are used 10x more than turtle 1. Popular tanks are mostly played by average or below average players. Usually majority don't play bad tanks, only very good players that want to mark it or for some other reason.
I play my Turtle regularly it's a very "uneven" tank,
Which (like you said) leads it to be played by better players that tend to try and mitigate it's downfalls.
No. All heavy TDs have good win ratio, because its easier to push a flank in an armored tank. Skorpion also has low camo so even tier VI tanks can wreck it.
I think the biggest issue is still, Special or Premium or Goldammo.
Why should it not be like in WoT Blitz? Premium Ammo cost more money, has higher pen, but does less dmg. Roughly like 10.-20%. The Gold Spam on the Blitz Servers is so much less. It makes fun to play, because not everybody is spamming gold and if they do, it is much easier to win against them, because they do less dmg.
They still don't want the game to be easily viable as an actual free to play title. It's try for free, pay to play. If people didn't feel like they need high prem loadouts on most tanks premium accounts and premium tanks wouldn't feel as mandatory for long term players and in Wargaming's eyes that means they'd make less money. I was very money shy in my 5 years playing WOT but even I probably had a premium account for at least a couple of them along with I believe 5 premium tanks, likely in total costing over £200. I remember every time I unlocked a tier 9 or 10 there was a period of credit grind to actually buy it cuz I was always a million credits+ off from being able to afford it.
They are wrong though because you look at a game like DOTA 2 for example, that doesn't make you pay for anything that you need to succeed, and players throw tons of cash at the game knowing that it doesn't make them even 0.1% more competitive, DOTA 2 being a HIGHLY competitive game, probably more so than WOT. You can succeed with out milking but you need your player base but wargaming still don't believe it and still prefer to manipulate and trick people into spending.
Sadly still no ammo Buff for the bat chat 25t. 30 ammo is way too little.
yeah Batchat ammo buff to 40 and also a gun-handling buff. Make BatChat Great Again
*little, not less
@@robinkhn2547 thanks
10:17 might be a typo but the gun on the Churchill 7 is the one on the Black Prince and not the 77mm that is currently on the Churchill 7
My thoughts exactly when I first saw that
The Vk 45.02 buffs are extremely necessary. It will still be weak tank compared to others, because you still can shoot him in his "armpits" above the tracks. Not to forget the moment you turn your turret just 10 degree, the sides become immediately green, even with the 20mm buff.
This is probably one of the best things they could ever do to save this game
Idk,the gold ammo is sometimes just ridicilous
@@Hydra3237because you are a noob that wants to club lower tiers in a cheftain
Next step is the premiums. Which I understand why people may get their stat-padding panties in a twist since it's often real money they spent for them in the first place.
But one can hope (cope)
@@Neptunesplayground0as a premium owner. Some of those tanks are bullshit and need a nerf.
@@01MEGABOB 100%, but for everybody that is like you, theres somebody who WILL cry if they nerf OP tanks, and understandably because they spent REAL money with expectations. Its even tougher to balance something like the BZ, because it was only sold in loot boxes so some people spent hella money to get it.
Just want to mention that the patriot was the original op premium tier 8 heavy. How the times have changed for it to be getting buffs.
Skorpion G was before that.
Patriot was never op ….
@@larryakre5965 It was at the time. The meta was different.
12:03 ‘do we really need the inflation of DPM in the game’. Hardening has effectively increased the HP pool in the game and it’s not limited to only heavies with a lot of TD’s and meds using some form of HP equipment in their setups. In my opinion it isn’t the worst idea but the best idea is to remove hardening so these buffs to DPM aren’t needed…hot take?
16:07 this reminds me of how they buffed the pershing in Blitz, its DPM went from 2.1K up to less than 2.7K, which actially made it one of the highest DPM in tier 8 that isnt a TD (like ISU having 3.2K with its BL-10...)
I saw a video of the 279 irl, and they stated that the turning of the hull is incredibly slow because of the 4 tracks. I wondererd why this was never a thing in wot.
Could be false information at all, idk
WOT is nothing like IRL. IRL the Centurion was probably the best main battle tank in the 50s and 60s but in WOT its hopeless.
279 at kubinka is different form the one In game but also IRL stats are irrelevant
WoT isn't anything like RL. Case in point: EBR in-game doesn't work or drive like EBR irl.
Not because of the realism aspect, ive meant for balancing
Irl it turns slow because of the four tracks. You have a lot of tracktion on those inside tracks meaning you can turn slower
The funny part is im now trying to get Obj. 279 (e) by doing the campaign missions and after hearing the nerfs about it and the chief and after watching your video im glad they getting nerfed, but looking at it the chief might be less played in clan wars now than the Obj. 279 (e)
Also the speed buffs may not be so bad as alot of those slow tanks are most likely packing a turbo regardless, opening that slot for hopefully more variation
Nerfs for premiums are a bad idea, spending your money on a premium is a contract to purchase an item as advertised.
Respect the hell out of them for finally nerfing reward tanks. Now do the BZ and Skoda.
Still, they are nerfing the premium ammo in the Chieftain. That's going to be keyboard smash problem for many superunicums who happily spam gold. It won't be that easy for them to hurt the E-100 and Type 5 Heavy. Tanks like the Skoda T56, BZ-176, Bourrasque and Even 90 are broken. The difference with the tech tree counterparts is just massive.
@@AetherYes every one had the chance to buy the bz it was upto you
@@pauldyson7456 you didn't watch the video ?
Skoda is fine as it is.
Bz is fine
So the VK 45.02 A and 110 gets no penetration buff but forcing people to load gold to solve the problem ....
Can't believe they're ruining my beloved 268/4
Finally , after all these years the cheif and 279e get nerfed , i can now play in peace again
The fact that WG is doing this is showing that in a way they do (sometimes) care Lol
About money, yes. 😂
No bz nurf, they arnt doing anything tbh (imo)
This won't really change the clan war meta for the top clans btw, sure things will be a bit slower but the fundamentals of the tanks remain in place. For anyone without a chief tho, kpz isn't a terrible replacement.
true, but it makes it more fairer for clans who dont have any Chieftains and field S.Conqs instead. A much more levelled playing field.
Oh it will surely change the Meta, Krans will now be able to move back into position especially with a Turbo or tier 3 mobility package. The whole reason the Kran got Nerfed was because cry baby top clans couldn't strong arm a ridge line as Sconq's didn't have the turret armor to go toe to toe with a Chief, The Kran could and now will be back again. This is wonderful news for sure.
@@animalyze7120 your taking the piss right? Kran is never becoming relevant again in it's current state. Mobility is sht, gun handling is sht, and dpm is sht for clan war purposes. If you and your clan is under the impression that they are viable again I really don't know what to say but good luck
well, u were wrong about chief cw meta, no clan uses them anymore@@Howto-sb7sx
strange thing, i grind the fieldmods on the 268/4 at the moment and i dont notice any strengths, armor feels like paper every snaps me and pens me no mater the angle but when i aim for lower plate comander coupola etc weakspots with gold, always bounce or magical miss
Thank you Wargaming! I have always loved the Churchill VII but it always seemed power crept and slow. So happy to see it getting a buff. Desperately needed this
The +5kph is too much but if some speed is needed then +2/3 can be reasonable as some vehicles get unnecessarily punished for being slow without it being the players fault, best example I can think of is Westfield
I see nothing wrong with all of the buffs for these tanks. Sure the Turtle is probably going to be like a TS-5 now but slightly worse, but yeah none of these buffs looks like they are going cause a "problem."
There's a couple that are close IMO but idk if they are just up to the line or over it, but we'll see.
Stupid question. My apologies if already addressed.: Will the buffs applied to the T26E5 carry over to the Patriot?
So I paid MONEY for a premium, I paid for those specific specs, so I should get a return on every premium tank that I own because it's not what I paid for. That's like buying a car with specific specs and going to pick it up and the dealer says by the way we reduced the horsepower of your vehicle but your still paying the full price. Balancing needs to be done but leave premiums alone.
The Obj. 279e is so disgusting that my favourite (and I have been playing for 10 years) moment of all time is this: I was perched on a ridge with my FV215b(183) and there was this Obj moving ahead in a street. He was oblivious to me and I knew he would turn his turret once he reaches a certain point. He did the exact same and I was ready! One big 183 mm doom slap went straight to his turret side and for a second or so I rocked the whole campaign roster! I mean forget about whatever effort was put into the campaign to get that thing, just watch this fucking shot man! I still have wet dreams about that shot...
U cry about the 279 and u play Fv 215b 183... low IQ detected
its not that op really, only in certain senarios
@@_honu_ sorry, did I say OP?
you said disgusting, which makes it sound like you were saying the tank is disgustingly broken@@SecretIngredientK
Love the Quickybaby content we have had recently and i would love it if you could make a video on the OBJ 705A
Would have been my absolute favorite tank if they fixed the buggy track armor on the front, and gave it gun options like the tier 9 Variant. Its such a cool looking tank, but that 152mm is just not competitive in most situations, i would kill to have a 130mm option on that vehicle, which trades alpha for accuracy and DPM.
Same
Way back when, World of Warship nerfed a bunch of premium ships. They stated that if you didn't want to keep your ship they would buy it back for gold. I had some and kept them because they were still fun to play. They can do the same thing in WoT and I think the community would appreciate it.
Personally, I would definitely take that deal
The only problem is that gold is more or less useless in WoT, as you can't really buy any new tanks with it... as all those which you would want are sold with real money.
With all these buffs to random tanks like the Pilot, the Super Pershing needs it's historical penetration buff of 340mm on it's apcr rounds. It also could use an increased speed forward buff.
In addition, the Mutant needs a gun handling and possibly another armor buff: to the roof.
All of this looks highly positive. Now they've said it, they can't very well un-say it, without signing their own death-warrant. The Turtle only gets it's higher WR from gold-spamming and massive credit-loss every game, which is why I won't touch it at the moment. Same for M6, it's a massive loss-maker. Brit Heavies have always been the poor relations at lower Tiers, so actually nice to see them potentially competitive. WG shuffle the deck every so often, the last few times have been shockingly bad, but this is great! E279e will STILL be way OP tho...😠
Yeah, the gap between heavies, meds and lights in terms of viewrange and other stats gets smaller and smaller.
When Im sitting in my HWK30 I can really feel that.
Not the best camo but awesome viewrange... but I cant really play around that because of small maps, viewrange oversaturation on other classes and ever increasing mobility of said other classes.
I hate it.
In terms of the 279e...
Its the only tank in the game that makes me feel like not wanting to play the game when its in the enemy team.
And I mean it like I said it. There is no other tank in the game that makes me wanna just reset and start the next round in hopes i wont have to face it again.
i also hate being in a tier 6 tank and seeing a platoon of borasques top tier on the enemies team or even in my cs 53
@@jodyjonah8394 That isnt half bad though.
Shure, fighting tier 8s in tier 6 tanks is bullshit but at least you have a chance of damaging a bourasque.
Imagine being against 3 BZ-176 that can litarally oneshot you whereas you cant do shit to them.
They need to decrease the view range of all heavies by like 10%. Heavies should think of using the optics or investing in firepower over the view range. They need to sacrifice something
WG has a habit of nerfing the vehicles I bust my a$$ to unlock because they are (were) good. Why bother grinding any good tanks when they just bust the stats down as soon as you get the thing?
AT15 does need some help, as soon as everyone loads gold you just get pulled apart
1:37 - I have a feeling something is odd with those win ratios. Look at the Obj. 259A two tanks above. It has played 2 battles yet has a 56.25% win ratio. How???
Tanks still in supertest
@@nojejwks Yeah, but the maths still doesn't add up.
The BZ-176 doesn't need to be nerfed. It needs to be moved up a tier and everyone's happy.
I would still like to see the 279e should have 10-20 mm less hull armor to give people a slightly better chance to pen. Always hurts seeing them when I am playing a Type 5 and 290 gold ap pen just does nothing.
I did once charge a 279e in a T110E5 and got a couple or three hits face-hugging it and shooting down on the upper glacis, which worked. At least I got a few shots in before I got slaughtered.
i didn`t think i`d live long enough to witness this moment
The changes seems to be ok (including the chief and 279e). But WG should address the biggest problem which is MM and RNG differences between the two sides.
Is your tinfoil hat abit to tight maybe?
@@noobbody-gf8fhhe might be simply referring to the WN8 differences you can get from RNG MM?
@@SahiPieTrue. But That debate is even more pointless. Play ranked/ onslaught if you want skilled mm.
@@noobbody-gf8fh and those modes are limited time meaning the vast majority of playtime would be done outside of those time frames
Actually good buffs and nerves. Except the chaotic tier 8 premium changes. Can't wait till WG nerfs the Lefh105. Absolute scarecrow for new players at tier 5. Thx for news QB 👍
true, always said that the lefh is the most op vehicle in the game, even more op than Chieftain and 279e. The sub 8 second reload is just ridiculous. If you dont have a full repair crew, if you are unlucky, that thing can perma-track you. Borderline op sh*t which needs to be nerfed more than anything.
Only tank i hate more is bz 176. LeFH isn't just a terror for new players, though worse for them. No arty should be able to perma track. Some lower tier arties have the same fire rate or better but do not hit their targets more than once, MAYBE but rarely twice, in a row.
By nerfing the intra clip reload on the vz.55, they will remove the only thing that is special on this tank, making it worthless and people will move over to other tanks with magazines that have almost the same intra clip. For me that’s a huge L from WG and vz.55 is not going to be played anymore
The actual problem with the 279E and the Chief is not their guns nor is it necessarely their mobility, its their armor and WG is not touching that aspect.
So now the suffering will just take longer for everyone involved.
Personally, this was one of those few videos where I can legitimately say that NONE of these nerfs or buffs looked ridiculous or out of nowhere. Fantastic changes, and I hope the majority of these at the very least (especially those Chieftain and 279e nerfs) are implemented in the future.
Great video update as always, Quickybaby 😁

it is worrying that when u look at stats for win rates your not looking at amount of battles played most people know the horrible tanks to play and will skip them not to play them
Honestly I'm glad their addressing the chief and 279 but it still doesn't feel like enough. The biggest problem isn't their dpm or mobility or gun handling. It's the lack of actual weak spots on the tanks. The chief hulldown is all but invincible and the 279e's hill armor is so troll there's no guarantee that you'll pen it even if you aim well. Give the chief the chief protos cupola and nerf the 279e's hull so the lower part can be penned reliably with 270+ pen. As it stands they will still be toxic in randoms and will still be the top two picks in CW.
One thing I wish had happened (though ik it never will) is that console and pc were able to play together on the same version of the game. It’s sad to see that WoT console was one of the FIRST cross-platform games allowing Xbox and PlayStation to play together, but never seeing the light of day with pc players
If this happens I might actually come back to the game
Good luck with that 😮
its an amazing sign for the better, for the longevity of the game, although the Chieftain problem was actually the complete lack of weak spot while hull down, I never felt like the 279e was much of a problem, unless it was vs tier 8. I could usually hit a cupola, or go through the front with gold.
you could say the same for the kran, but its clear that reducing the tanks ability to get to a position and also deal damage so quickly really makes an impact. Also I agree with 279e against MOST 279e players. But the ones that actually know how to angle, aka bump up, then it becomes a real issue
@@beckcrossman completely agree with you

WG care only about the money, "buffs" is only 4 making you spend more money.
i wanna see the 279 and chieftain battletier increased. Only to meet with tier 10.
Very good point!
I am SO very glad to hear about the nerfs to the Chief and 279e. When the game is unbalanced, it ruins not just random battles (Godzilla vs the Smurfs), but it makes Clan Wars less fun too. Honestly, in the 18 months since I've returned to the game, I keep wishing WG would have a CW that was Tech-Tree-Tanks ONLY. I have all but about 7 or 8 tech tree tanks, and the reward tanks make so many tech tree tanks non-viable in CW.
The other idea I keep entertaining is what would CW be like if once in a while WG would limit how man tanks of the same type you could use. (Not every CW, just once in a while). Say you could only bring 2 or 3 of any specific tank. So Instead of 8 110E3's on Himmelsdorf, maybe you'd see some TD variety for a change. I get this could cause players to gripe, if their C.O. didn't chose them to be the Chieftan or 279e players. But I think it would force CW to get some variety again. And alternative to this would be that teams could only bring 2 or 3 of specific reward tanks. So instead of 10 Chieftans, a team would be forced to bring only 2. So even if they are OP, a team with no Chieftans, wouldn't be as severely handicapped in the match. Keep up the awesome videos, and thanks for the encouraging news!
On console it's a crazy mixed bag. All Waffentrager's got an armor buff, and the Wtf e 100 got a reload buff on top of that. The Jagdtiger 8.8 got a pen buff on its cannon too.
You cannot sell me a v12 Ferrari, then have some dudes come in the middle of the night and replace it with a v8. Pretty illegal.
Next move is fixing all the gold spam issues. Obviously some tanks will be need to reworked buts it’s necessary fix how much the 2 key is used
Problem is that tanks are balanced in a way that using gold ammo on heavy tanks is basically only valid option. On some tanks 310 pen heat feels pathetic compared to 350 pen. Not to mention that Minotauro, Kran, Obj705 pretty much do not have any weakspots and for E3 you need that 350pen. Other problem is that gold ammo was not significantly balanced since 2013. Some tanks have huge penetration drop on APCR so for example Patton has the same penetration at 500m as T20. I'm not joking.
For the reason of gold spam necessity I basically stopped playing heavies at the time when chrysler, liberte, defender were added and at the same time weakspots were removed. But situation before armor buff was maybe even worse, you've met tortoise, you pressed 2 and wished him good night. Today, gold ammo is not balanced, but tanks are balanced against it and whole economy is forcing you to spam it and buy premium account and tanks to afford it.
So gold ammo is basically just a more expensive standard ammo and with new intuition change, you can even switch to cheaper one to safe credits :)
i love my chieftain dearly, played and worked hard very hard to earn one, but i support this change wargaming is taking, the chieftain and 279e meta in clan wars are absolutely so stale and ridiculous, im glad and hope this brings fresh air to competitive wot. seeing a platoon of chieftain is a nightmare, now imagine a 10 or 15 of them in cws
this will be great as ive been in matches whereby people have drown because theres a 279e on enemy team

WG sometimes balance with foot in the door, and sometimes balance with door in the face
Also, what happened with the Chi To SP? The popular tier 7 tanks video showed how powerful it was
279 needs to go to 30 kmh, make it a super heavy and make it so it needs vert stabs and i can see it not being broken as all hell, chieftain will be always meta unless its gun handlung gets gutted good gun on indestructible turret with gun depresion
Damn I traded in my amx heavy tank.. I still have the Patriot though, happy to see it will receive changes, especially the dispersion, it was a bit hard snapshotting with its tiny pew pew..
The tech tree buffs look great, a lot of the tier 8s being buffed have the worst winrates in their class. The changes are big but the tanks need it.
A small sick part of me is sad about the 279e nerf because I'm almost there to get it. But I must stifle that part for the better of the game, especially if the population grows
same, but it really is a problem and will still be very dangerous in capable hands
Why bother with personal missions anymore?
279e is very shitty experience to play in randoms anyways, u get focused, no armor vs tier X tanks spamming gold and so on... Rather play Maus
Please do it WG!!! I would love it!!! 279e and the Cheiftain shall be nefed!!! And all the buffs looks great too.
QB as always you produce thoughtful and thorough analysis for all of us. Thank you for doing that. Looks like some good changes but seriously WG...buffing the view range of heavies!!!??? At some point you start to eliminate the very reason to have specific classes of tanks. Please reconsider that! Then the next thing you need to do is to balance the ridiculous matchmaking!!!
We have done it. 1 small step for man, a leap for mankind.
The overall community's reaction to this is going to paint a very good picture about what kind of players the WoT's playerbase is large made out of.
If the overall reaction is good, then that means that by en large players care more about balance instead of their own personal enjoyment. And in that case WG should continue with nerfing OP vehicles.
If the overall reaction is bad and as a result WG may not go through with it then that essentially confirms that the average player is just very selfish and only cares about their own enjoyment instead about the health of the game overall.
Will say though that if it ends up being the later, then y'all have no right to ever complain about an overpowered premium/freemium ever again as in that case WG gave us exactly what we asked for.
I sure hope these happen...Both those tanks totally toxic in random. Editing reward tanks is totally different than premium tanks imo
And I never got the chance to use it OP 😢😢😢
Ironic. I quit WoT when they added op tanks like the Defender, Liberte and Patriot and the game has powercreeped so hard these tanks are in need of buffs now.
I hope the Pershing changes go through, I haven't played that tank since forever, it got power creeped into oblivion. I think it still holds the exp record on my account.
Edit: And also, freaking finally, the Chief and 279e have way too many advantages compared to downsides, so a nerf is highly welcomed. I don't own a 279e, I don't play the game seriously enough to get one, but I do own a Chieftain, and I fucking hate it. I hate taking it out in random battles, it always feels dirty, but I had to grind out the exp for the field mods, so that wasn't pleasant. I do suck in it, for whatever reason I feel the gun is absolute shit, the S Conqs handles way better, but even so, it still feels highly inappropriate to take it out against even more casual players than me, because if there's no arty and I actually concentrate, well, it just dishes out damage like crazy.
So good for WG, they actually seem to do right by the majority of the playerbase, something I hope is part of a new mentality that can both benefit the players AND their pockets. I don't mind spending money in a game that takes into account opinions of the majority instead of enforcing some idiotic crap like Crew 2.0, which will remain the reason why I won't praise them for these changes, but only give them an approving nod and Malfoy smirk. If they keep this up for a few years, maybe then...
Where the fuck is nerf for the biggest cancer ever BZ-176?
And 279(e), as a reward vehicle, shouldn't be nerfed. Many people were trying hard to get this thing for years (by doing their best on the battlefield). It's overpowered , but it should be overpowered, as it is a reward for really tough missions.
Overall, the path WG has taken is simply wrong. They released too many OP tanks and instead of nerfing them, they have to buff all the other around.
With all those gun handling buffs it seems that the only differences between tiers will be HP pool.
I hated how U tube deletes my reply but anyhoo
There is a troll video of a BZ-176 getting pushed into the guns of the enemy team
I am slightly mixed for the 268v4, I am farming for that tank since it looks hilariously fun to play (and it is after I tried in the Common Test server), that speed nerf is quite heavy imo, but it is an assault TD so it needs to be a bit slower, 40 is still fast, but not ludicrous fast like before with a specific build that focus on mobility (reaching 60 km/h with that is too good for a TD like that), the gun is good, but I prefer a lot more the mobility it has so I can play something I can turn my brain off a bit and go hugga bugga. Maybe that turning buff might be good, maybe...
That background sound 😂. Have a nice holiday?
Imagine nerfing tanks that people worked hard to achieve rather than overpowered tanks you just buy like the BZ. Not everyone with a chieftain or a 279e is a superunicum with the best skills. It took me years to get a chieftain and to be able to truly enjoy it, and I'm not even a "good" player. After 11 years this is probably the patch that does it for me because its an insult to the only accomplishment i have in the game that took so long for me to achieve.
Agree!
chieftain is op in every players hands and you crying is proof. you wouldnt cry if the tank wasnt op
@philosophist9562 it's not overpowered. Not at all. It does have weak spots that are easy to see. Its premium rounds aren't that good nor are its standard rounds which is why many use premium only. It has worse gun handling than an S. Conq. It might be more mobile but it's no 277 or IS7. An IS7 or Obj 705A is way more overpowered hull down, not to mention a minotauro, or a 60tp.
@@MrNutt_ Yes it is. Also Chieftain has same gun handling, or even better if instead of turbo you mount Vstab. And it will still be 2x faster than S Conq with turbo. It's 2x better tank than S Conq, you are being ridiculously biased.
@philosophist9562 it's most definitely not 2x better than it. If you owned one you'd know how vulnerable it can be in many situations. It's not invincible.
No fucking way
WG blathers on about "balance" yet refuses to include it in player skill level when forming teams. Close games are always more fun than blowouts for everyone involved.
Does anyone know how often the booster resource conversion changes?
I strongly disagree in nerf 279e, the purpose of the campaign be a nightmare it's to you *deserve* a OP vehicle.
Thats what you made the purpose to be lmao
With all the rigging companies its no longer a deserved tank.
No it shouldnt be an OP pick, it should be a Reward. It shouldnt be an "I win" option, but rather "hey look what i did"
"I worked hard so I deserve to be able to wreck everyone else's experience! It's all about me! ME ME ME!!!"
Lol, it should be a status symbol of being able to do the difficult challenges. IMO it should come with a super good credit boost or something similar such that it is rewarding to play even if it is balanced and not OP. That way it will also be loved by others instead of hated.
I also heard something about the s conq getting it's turret roof nerfed down to just 30mm and getting like +2 seconds reload in the original draft of this rebalance. Hopefully they don't gut it that hard. The VZ rebalance is reasonable for example.
There were nerfs like this, which were implemented into this nerf section, but they took it off and completely deleted those changes... There are two reasons for it, firstly, it would feel somehow bad nerfing conqueror and chieftain in one patch (OH NO WG, YOU NERF REWARD TANK SO IN ORDER TO LEAVE IT LOOK BETTER YOU NERF ALSO IT'S TECH TREE EQUIVAVELT) and secondly, Conqueror is one of those tanks, which are still kinda okeish, it has many weakspots... If tank will perform better after those nerfs on these tanks right now, they will nerf it in next round of nerfs a few months from now i guess.
hi QB, thanks for the video, it's been great to have you commentary on it, but you got the maths wrong for 4502A's DPM. Original reload is supposed to be 10.1s, not 11.1s
You forgot the very one thing that holds the VK45.02A back
200/244 AP/APCR penetration
@@AetherYes I didn't forget, my comment was simply to point out the wrong maths, thats all
Those changes to 279e will change nothing at all, it still have its impenetrable frontal armor and still will annihilate anything in front of him..
Sad to hear they destroyed the Object 268v4, minus 10 km/h is huge, the spirit of this vehiculle is gone.
They nerved reward vehicles before. T22 sr. (Med) got nerfed into the Ground in i think Patch 9.16
had some games with 2-3 platoned 279 and its literaly hopeles. almost like bz 176 platoned
I mean to me, ever since the IS-3 frontal hull became irrelevant with the high amount of high pen tanks, the 110 was always just a better HEAVY than an IS-3, with the only drawback being the lack of troll side armor that the IS-3 has
Turtle def needs a buff. Goes up against Tier 10 tanks more often than not. Churchill needs it because its goes up against the M6, OI, and KV2.
is the Churchill 7 getting the 17 pounder gun? in place of the comet gun?
i think the 268 v4 needs an armor nerf and not a mobility nerf ( something like the armor model of the 263 with a big lower plate that you can hide by sidescraping )
Weakpoint got nerfed
@@archorboy11 that's Good too
I agree with turtles' penetration value change because I don't want to spam premiums even with a premium tank...infact, every premium should have decent standard penetration to minimize gold spam.
On the 45.02 A, I wish they would give the 88mm a buff. Being a fairly nimble light heavy, combined with a faster shooting, less alpha gun would make this more interesting than just making it more like the Tiger II...
