Steve Wright has also been charged with the murder of Vicky Hall, her body was found near where I live. I was living in Ipswich at the time and it was a really scary period. Ipswich is such a small place, everyone knows someone affected by his crimes.

The UK finally abolished the death penalty in 1998. What happened in the 1960s wasn't abolition - it was just a moratorium on its use for murder. It was still a sentencing option for high treason, but even then I doubt it would actually have been used.

She's got nothing to gain by admitting it. The only way I can see her admitting anything would be if she had to show remorse to get parole. She's got no chance of that.
You give the death penanatly to the incorrect person, then all of a sudden you cannot trust the process, regularly the wrong person is on death row in the US and turns out they didnt commit the crime.
