Thanks Kobi! I did it fairly quickly to move the each compressor to do moderate to more aggressive compression so a colleague can hear most of those in action. This vocal have already been slightly compressed during tracking with Portico 5043 which is amongst the most transparent ones.
Winners: Cream, Crimson, Ivory & Opto 3A Amethyst has a warm vintage sound and it has a nice open feel to it. API 2500 I loved the attack on this. Got a modern tone but I didn't like the bypass comparison issue. Cream has so much versatility! I think you could have gone harder as I've found Cream can be pushed really nicely. The C compressor has such a thick release! Crimson Really solid body and aggression. Definitely going to be my next AA purchase! The Ebony was just not working on this vocal, even with tons of GR. Gold has such a bouncy release and a punchy attack. I think it lacked body though. The Ivory had a very modern and transparent tone and added a nice open bottom-end. The Flucti-Mew attack and release sounded a little weird but I liked the glue it added. N54 was a bland sound in my opinion. Didn't add much character in my opinion. Man, the Opto-3A added so much girth and thickness as expected from an Opto-3A comp!
I have used UAD plugins, I have heard great things about your plugins, you would like to try them out, I created an account, downloaded the demo installed, the AU component format appears in the plugins folder, but when I open my DAW ableton live 10, I have installed the AU version, but it does not work, I do not know what else I can do but it's really frustrating, can you help me?
Hello, you probably ask about N4 setups I created. You can rename N4 setups into anything you want really as those N4 programs behave like individual plugins inside your DAW. More info about how to create them: ruclips.net/video/2OoCk0TGtTU/видео.html
Great video! It was a little fast to hear the effects fully in comparison, but great to watch you dial in the settings. Thank you so much for sharing. So out of them all, which is your favourite?
Thanks Sound SIgnals! Yes there wasn't enough time to tweak more as I wanted to spend about 1 min on each just to give a taste. This guys vocal seems to take lots of different processors comfortably but I would say for his singing my favourites are Crimson, Opto 3A, and Lunchpail
AntiTeatar Music thanks for the feedback, even though I have crimson i haven't checked the compressor much. It was good to check the lunchpail, i don't have that library. Btw it's Saleem from the facebook group 😉
Hey Saleem, lunchpail is different from pink 2 compressor but not that much. I think Pink 2 can get that softer sounding compression because of its versatility. So if you got Pink 2 you just tweak it till you get the sound you want.
That vocal is insane.
I love seeing crimson being used!!!! Sounds great!!!
i loved the ultramarine 3 very smooth n adds a bit of silk on the top end
Ultramarine and Petherick 100A were the winners for me. A touch of magic and smooth leveling without sucking backwards in both.
Fantastic vocal compressor video!
On my phone the La-3a made the most improvement. The vocal got warmer, fuller and more present. Nice video!
Thanks! Yeah Tim's Opto 3A is one of my favourites too!
Damn me for understanding German
Nice touch up on the vocal

Hello how did you rename plugins inside of pro tools? Many thanks!

AntiTeatar Music cool, cool! Thanks for the advice, much appreciated ☺
AntiTeatar Music
Hi! What DSP buffer you used in Nebula and Aqua compressors? And what asio buffer on you're audio interface? Thank's)
Hey Yuri, when mixing my Pro tools is always at 1024 buffer, which is hardware buffer also.
AntiTeatar Music
Thanks a lot) I use the same) Just wanted to clarify.
Buffer is 1024 in Pro Tools 12.5.2 always. I dont have ASIO card so it is running at same buffer as host I guess.
The cream is a killer on that vocal
🇯🇲💚💛❤️🎼👍🏿
Crimson is nice too.. Hell none of them are a joke.
