I agree with Lydon on this. Not that Green Day are necessarily bad. They made some catchy tunes in the 90s. They weren't punks in the sense the Sex Pistols were though. They look like comfortable suburban kids who just happened to copy the punk sound in general. I can't think of anything they've done that would be as rebellious as the things the Pistols did in their day. It's not like Green Day challenges society or anything.
