  • You can't quite beat the sound of a V8! The sound throaty, brutal and just raw boned muscle. This Charger R/T finished in Black with aftermarket wheels is definitely a looker and head turner. Mated with a 6 speed manual transmission, you cant get much more old school American Muscle feeling.

Absolutely beautiful car my friend. I just purchased a yellow and black 2017 Dodge Challenger RT Classic almost 3 weeks ago. She is absolutely amazing. From a guy that's only ever driven GM's my entire life I am truly impressed with this car. Especially since doing a few cheap but very needed performance upgrades...at 440hp@425 ft.lb. of torque she absolutely flies. What amazes me is the 26-27mpg I'm getting from the car right now.

      @@stev3243
First and foremost, congratulations on getting an amazing ride! From a guy that only drove fast GM's his entire life you're going to love the car. The Dodge Challenger has made a believer out of me.
      Here goes...
      1. Borla exhaust cat-back.
      2. Demon air box and filter.
      3. Diablo Sport Tuner.
Addendum- You can tune the car yourself from the comfort of your garage, car port, or driveway. These three simple things have given me 440hp@425 ft.lb. of torque. I loved the car when I first got it (without the modifications) but with them it's like the car sprung to life. One warning- The Diablo Tuner will void any warranty you may get or purchased with the car. What you do is save your factory settings and reset them (takes like 45 minutes) if you need a repair. If you forget, whoever you have a warranty under will tell you to go kick rocks. I don't think there is a way for them to find out that you're tuning your own car.
Bonus Warning- The only real issue that I have found with these cars are the damn power windows. Everytime you open and close your doors they move. Even if you're not trying to roll them down they move up and down. The windows are controlled by a brain, a latch, and motor. Make sure they're in good working order before you buy the car for the love of God. You can buy all three pieces separately from Dodge and I would suggest to at least buy two replacement latches. They are the cheapest things to fix in the entire car. You will know you have an issue when the windows go up and down constantly a quarter inch even when the car is off repeatedly (like all night) killing the battery. I stupidly spent 2,000 dollars fixing this problem like an idiot...don't be me. It's the damn cheap latches. You only need one brain as it controls both windows. I obviously didn't know that and decided to play Mr. Fix It without ever working on a non-GM car. It was like trying to learn Russian in 10 minutes with a gun to your head.

@@Sinn0100 thank you for this amazing response! I’m very surprised you praise the dodge very highly coming from someone driving fast GM’s! Although I’ve never driven a dodge this will be my first one it still surprises me. I am hoping an exhaust won’t void my warranty as who doesn’t love a muscle car screaming down the street! I definitely will add an intake as soon as I can. I will have to do what you said and save factory setting so I do not void my warranty! I am really hoping just to push around 410 HP but to be quite honest who doesn’t want more power out of the car. I will make sure to watch my power windows and buy some latches, I did know dodge wasn’t necessary the best at making interiors but most of the money went towards the drivetrain. Once again thank you! This information was very helpful. Have you considered putting a better cam in the 5.7?

Hey there! There is not a 3.6L V8, the 3.6L is a V6. The R/T model as in the video has a 5.7L V8 and there is also a 6.4L V8 on the SRT8's of around this year range. If it were me I would go with one of the V8's. So either an R/T or one of the SRT8's! Hope this helps! 😊
