Absolutely great line up. The only one i would ditch is Ombre Leather. I really dislike the smell. Instead I would put in the Line Prada l‘Homme Intense.
Intenza is so underrated. I live in Florida and it works so well. One of my very first purchases and hundreds of bottles later still one of my favorites.
Please consider making a fragrance for Scotland. Something that smells of peat smoke and perhaps scotch. Port Charlotte heavily peated scotch is one of my favorite smells and flavors. Peat smoke is like the oud of Scotland! Only you can make this, perhaps in a partnership with the Atkinsons fragrance company! Also, thank you very much for your Atkinsons His Majesty Oud recommendation. I blind bought it based on your description, and it's my #1 favorite out of 150 fragrances I've tried.

I dont know your favourite films or characters but perhaps fragrances that capture the essence of some of your favourite films/characters. The reason I suggest is because the fragrance that got me interested in fragrances (encre noir a l'extreme) immediately made me think of don draper and since I now attribute fragrances to a character i wish to portray by way of scent. YES! There's a huge difference within Roja Dove's Enigma range: I have the original Parfum Pour Femme and I've sampled the Enigma Essence too, just to compare and see if I'll buy that instead next time. The Essence, the one in the soft pink hued flacon is but a watercolour painting of a shadow in comparison to the Parfum. It's not a softer version; it's just different, like a second cousin rather than a younger sibling. I can only imagine how different the fragrance you were highlighting is to IT'S original.

Is it possible for you to also describe the 'DNA' or the genre they helped usher in and perhaps what its counterpart is in the modern world. That's a good question: Herod has pepper and is less sweet and smells woodier. Tobacco Vanille is straight out of a Charles Dickens Christmas Book: It's cosy warm and sweet vanilla, very comfortable.
Completely agree with George's portraits of both... I would say take Herod as PDM's version of Tobacco Vanille. The main difference I get is that Herod is an elder brother of Tabacco Vanille being a little less sweet and more focused on piped tobacco. Tobacco Vanille is a little more Juvenile being more spicy and sweet (In a niche manner, both smell very expensive btw). I have been testing both for the last 2 weeks in the evening cold.

You should do top to wear alone in your room. It’s actually kind of philosophical. It makes you ask why do you wear fragrance. For yourself? What does it mean to wear for yourself? Are we only trying to create positive emotions? Why not negative like listening to sad music? Relationship between fragrance and loneliness/relaxation/ease/etc. What criteria do we use to select fragrances when we are not constrained by social limitations? Should we likewise be as moderate in fragrance as in food/drink consumption. The buddhist only eat bland food, is there something to be said for the spirituality and lesson of a bland fragrance? What is our raltionshipbto the fragrance. What does the fragrance stand for in our lives? What does the object symbolize, why do we idolize the bottle and we ignore the beautiful natural fragrances around us? Idk Sorry for the rant
Hey those top lists helped me out a lot when I started this hobby years ago. Maybe because I don't have the nose some of your influencers have, maybe because I was to cheap to buy loads of frags to find out what I liked (Note I did spend lots but less because of people like you), maybe because I knew so little about the different types of frags, and I can go on and on. It helped and should thank you for that and without people like you I probably either would never have gotten into such a pleasurable hobby or would have quit out of frustration spending money on frags that I didn't like.
Yeah, top-ten lists meet a definite need, especially with beginners, and it's best if those beginners get their recommendations from experienced noses like Fragrance Apprentice, rather than some douchebag who happens to have a huge RUclips following but a very shallow knowledge of the subject matter.

A quick question: Do you think that if someone is generally on the warmer side in terms of body temperature, they should generally look more to EDTs over EDPs/Parfums? I think Tobacco Vanille got reformulated again. It projects for about 2-3 hours then becomes a skin scent for me :/

A quick question: Do you think that if someone is generally on the warmer side in terms of body temperature, they should generally look more to EDTs over EDPs/Parfums? Does seasonal climate overrule skin temperature when it comes to sillage?
By the way: I do appreciate your longer form non-list videos as I feel like I actually learn something about the history, art, and appreciation of perfumery that isn't about trying desperately to substitute an overbearing fragrance for a personality in pursuit of sexual conquest.
