    This has been a very illuminating video on soldering technique, translating schematics to board layout, and on component pins. I also really appreciate the commentary and the pace of the video was perfect. Thanks!

    I really enjoyed this in real time. Thanks for not editing! I'm building this internally into my bass.

      This will be a really easy on-board effect. Make sure to use a Stereo style jack and connect the black battery lead to sleeve and ground of the board to ring. That way, the circuit is broken and the battery won't drain when the bass isn't plugged in.

    U can use different resistors and diods and caps and it works too

    • @mistertommy
      @mistertommy  Год назад

      Different caps will change the tone. Different resistors may or may not work if it restricts the power too much.

    this type of board has no lines of connections right? i know some of them have rails that connect rows/columns

    • @mistertommy
      @mistertommy  Год назад

      Correct. I used the most basic board I could find so people would learn to read the schematic. You could poke holes through a piece of cardboard if you want.

  • @hookydoo

    You could just get a c100k pot and mount it on the bottom of the board. Or just use the a100k and reverse it. That way you can still see your components.

      If you google “bazz fuss deluxe” there will be some info on this.

    Dude, you frickin digressed about the negative and positive ends of that electrolytic cap and did not say what the value is! Looks like 2.2uf

    • @mistertommy
      @mistertommy  5 месяцев назад

      It’s 4.7 uf in the Homewrecker schematic (link in description) I think. But anything from 2.2-10 should work.

    I'm having problems. It works great if its out of the enclosure but of i mount the jacks it has no sound. I'm assuming the jacks are grounding it out but I can't figure out why

    • @mistertommy
      @mistertommy  3 года назад

      It's probably just grounding out on something. You can usually figure out where by slowly installing the board and then applying a little electrical tape or rubber cement to correct the issue.

    Can I use any bread board.. I’m totally new at this.

    • @mistertommy
      @mistertommy  4 года назад +1

      Turd Grafx pretty much. I’ve even built these before using a Kraft Mac-N-Cheese box when I didn’t have breadboard available.
