This was the first Metal(core)song I ever heard in my life, I was only 11 when this song came out and a random girl in a groupchat send it to me. I was frickin scared of it first, because I never came across something as heavy as this. I thought that I would never listen to it again, but just a couple of weeks later I was jamming to Poison because I was kinda mad at my grandmother and I knew that I had to release my anger somehow. And that song helped me a lot and that's when I realised that I had a thing for heavier music.
Today, 8 years later my music taste expanded a lot, I'm listening to Deftones, Converge, Gojira, Knocked Loose, Loathe, Spiritbox, Oathbreaker, Meshuggah, Alcest, Mgła, Kriegsmaschine, Cocteau Twins, The Cure and many more bands. Honestly Asking Alexandria isn't my thing anymore but I kinda owe my music taste to Asking Alexndria, this song especially, so I'm giving my props.

My story is kind of similar. Always jammed to stuff like linkin park and breaking benjamin in the 2000s but my first REAL heavy song was Morte Et Dabo, which literally blew my scalp back and the rest is history 😂
Personally, I loved this album. They made a great comeback with this. Danny's voice matured well. It suits him.

Yep and then when he returned after Stoff left their momentum got killed once again when they found a great frontman to replace Danny because the last album he returned in was absolutely horrible. I really wish Denis would have stayed although I also really love Danny so I'm split. I just loved Denis in Make Me Famous probably because that's why but idk AA doesn't sound the same anymore to me especially with that last effort that I don't wanna mention. Let's just say I loved the first 4 albums all of them until the 5th one which really sucked imo. They went the formulatic bullshit stop screaming and go mainstream route like most metalcore bands are doing nowadays like Memphis May Fire, The Word Alive, Blessthefall, Escape The Fate, and all that crap that's no longer heavy.
Bad_Moon their lead singer just can no longer do heavy music w the reliability of their vocal chords. I’m not 100% sure, so please correct me, but don’t all of those band’s lead singers have previous local chord injuries due to screaming? It’s just not a style one single lead singer can keep for more than a few years
@@stayworried9828 people can scream for years and years if they use the right technique and take care of their voice. Danny destroyed his voice from screaming incorrectly and doing alot of drugs. If a band has issues with screaming later in their career it's because they never screamed or sang right to begin with

The Vigilante By definition, they are a classical 80's hard rock band, if he kept in AA he wouldn't even have a voice by this time, it was wiser changing the style for him
I remember everyone hated this album when it came out. I was convinced it was their best at the time, the blend of metalcore and 80s rock was unique af and no-one apart from their diehard fans liked it. Now everyone loves the album, wild how it be like that.

Hey look... It's the album where people bitched that they had too much clean vocals on this record. It had both elements of SU&S and R&R mixed into one album to make the 3rd so I ended up loving it a lot. I still loved this album though. 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Time passed, I think this is their best album yet better than previous two or even The Violence. god, how I wish they should stick with FDTD sound.
@@rittis013 I totally agree!! They should have took the sound of FDTD and evolved with it while also keeping the uncleans. The self-titled had some good songs but after that album they went way downhill for me. I just can't get into the new stuff anymore since Danny returned and The Black was the last heavy album that they've done with Denis Stoff on vocals sadly. If Denis didn't have his issues with being an ego-maniac I think that they could have made it work out in the long run but it barely even lasted a year.

It is frowned upon. But most of the people here probably have. I've done it countless of times but I also buy most of my music too. As for this album I pre-ordered on itunes and just waiting for tomorrow so I can download. So it's really up to you. But I really recommend buying music to help support bands.
