You look at the second kit and think, “whoa, that doesn’t look so great; where’s this going?” But it blew the first one out of the water. I’m not a fan of trap, but I loved the way that set sounded.
I'm not even a drummer, but I'm really into replicating drum machines with drums. As a guitarist, this inspired me to try making my guitar sound more like a synth. If you had a band with guitars that sounded like synths, bass that sounded like an 808, and drums that sounded like drum machines, that would be interesting.
The best clap i ever heard on an acoustic kit was a cymbal stack made from 3 or 4 cymbals (hi-hat to splash sized) which were fixed with some tape. I literally didnt believe that thats where the clap-sounds came from o.O
Yes. Totally. I agree that the three or four cymbals stacked. I made a clapper that sounds really close to the machine claps. I cut mine from broken crash cymbals where its the bell and a little bit of flange. Probably closer to cup chimes. Preferably mounted upside down w the underside. Flamming really does it.
This is brilliant. Love the hi-hat with the flat plate at the bottom. Gave me some great ideas for other uses. And that 26 tuned open sounds great. Not only for this application but others as well. Great job!!
You mean that 10" snare, right? Just cut out a ten inch circle from an old drum head and lay it on your drum. That's it. Really easy to get a good sound that way. Also works on bigger drums of course.
Timo Heinrich i guess he means the second snare on the secon set up, i thing its an aluminum plate with cuains, a splash, and maybe a wood piece to hit on, it kinda looks like the junk hat, but it sounds cooler
The second kit was definitely trap
lmao
I think that kick from the second one and then combining everything else for added diversity of sound would be ideal
Yeah.
that snare was everything ! 😍😍
So weird how we are now trying to replicate electronic sounds acoustically. Great video btw.
Jojo Mayer is doing this for years now. He calls is 'reverse engineering'
Check it out.
I think its cool though. Always makes me kinda happy to see drummers on stage when it comes to music like this
@@patrickstaak501 I think it's awesome. These guys have an amazing ability, talent and creativity to re create these sounds.
the difference is talent lol

Your hi-hit rolls are out of this world. Very interesting take on such an "non-acoustic" sound. Well done!
Non acoustic?
That hi-hat instrument of medieval torture sounds freaking amazing
I really would love to see how they made it but I didn't find anything
@@iaial0 check out the junk hat 2.0
That second drum kit sounded amazing! Great takes on electric sounds.
Thanks for all of the compliments! We had a lot of fun making this video, and I had a lot of fun playing :)

That small snare drum sound is so creamy
It amazes me that those ribbon cymbals are even functional.
They're very functional, they are just not that loud...
@@vincentzito3933 yeah I know. Just looking at them I feel like they should just break apart when you hit them. They're cool.
I don't care for trap music, but absolutely loved the creativity that went into recreating the electronic drum effects on an acoustic drum set. Cool!
The first kit didn't convince me much, but the second one sounds spot on! The hi hat triplet rolls are unreal!
That last set is so nice, add a high Tom, maybe a splash and crash, I'm sold.

The second kit sounds amazing.

Amazing choices and sounds! Congratulations!!! Keep it up!
I love the base in the second kit so much
You made an amazing video! Such a creative outlook!
Thank you guys, I knew there had to be someone out there that could do this really good.
This is really cool. I'm really impressed.
Favorite video on the channel so far
The second drums feels great!
DUDE !!! The second one.... nailed it 👌
That second kit was super fire
Both the kits were superb but.....second was beautiful to hear
2nd kit is really well done. Can close my eyes and hear old roland kits
Omg that last kit sound is ridiculous. So much trap for an acoustic
You nailed it with the second kit
This is brilliant. Love the hi-hat with the flat plate at the bottom. Gave me some great ideas for other uses.

Great job!!
Can u tell us when will u upload your new video?
I’d really want a sample pack out of this!
Loop it down
Amazing ideas. Nice inspiration for some studio sessions
More talent in one video than the entire genre of trap.
The spiral cymbal sounds awesome!!!
Also - the sounds on this are really great. Great job!
This video was awesome. Second kit sounds great!
Polyphia's drummer Clay, do this all the time. Nice style
Oh shit I said that too lol. Polyphia is great
Time to make some phonk on a drum kit that looks insane😂
I like that sound with the hit-hat. Bands should include this sound in their songs.
I love that bass on the second kit
Legendary...cool drummer👏👏👏
Listening to this in my 4runner. Got system with some nice mids and tweeters with a huge focus on bass. The 26 sounds perfect 👌
The second kit sounded very accurate. I'd recommend the song OD by Polyphia for an example of a drummer who replicates the trap sound very well.
Excellent vidéo !!! so perfect and interesting. thanks for your work
what a brilliant idea to make electronic drum sound by acoustic drum!
I would love to see you do a U.K Drill drum kit
I wish you played “drop it like it’s hot.” On that 2nd kit
joshuel david thats not trap
Putting some cymbals on top of toms as well as the snare can create some pretty interesting sounds. Great vid!
The hi-hat on the 2nd kit was spot on
That fact that it’s possible to do trap drums on acoustic drums is something I must practice
The second kit was phenomenal!
Sound creation at another level. Good job guys.
amazing second kit
Great work 🇨🇦🔥👊🏿😷
Are you guys and Art of drumming is one? Nonetheless, Awesome content!!!
holy cow that 2nd bass drum is AWESOME
Very cool video! I use a hybird kit with triggers and drum pads to create these kind of sounds!
That last one was fire woow
The second kit with the first kit’s hi hats!!😎🔥
that oldscool marching bass😍
that second kit was fire

@@bisonsandlizards9136 oh... well I probably should have watched the video to the end.
I'm very sorry.
It looks very similar to the baldman percussion junk hat. Maybe it’s built the same
Cools stuff. from 3 minutes onwards it is hitting the spot!
The second drum kit is absolutely 🔥 🤯🤯🤯😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳🤯🤯🤯🤯😳
The sound of the bass drum on the second set up blew me away 😱
The bass drum from the first set with the rest of the second set would sound great.
I prefered the second kit. Shorter and bassier sounds. Dope video!
This is great!
Yo the clap/ snare in the 2:54 is sick if you could give us some insight on how to create
Would love to try and build that cool clap contraption, in the second kit. Any how to or resources?
Beat from 3:00 is unreal
Hell yeah, it sounds like the end of Billie Eilish Bag guy.
Beautiful tones👍
Could you explain how you made that clap instrument? It sounds phenomenal!!
Why arent you uploading anymore
Wow that was incredible my fav was kit 2 but both were amazing and very fucking creative!
Ah get that UFIP splash were it belongs on a cymbal stand ! Lol awesome video
❤ so good🎉
