      That’s awesome. I hope you enjoy! We didn’t get the complete set since we had the original set and didn’t need duplicates of so many colours or all the metallics. Hopefully they will have the singular colours available to buy if we decide there is a colour we do want from the ones that didn’t come with this set.

      Oh yes sorry I heard they will. I more so meant locally to me. We had to have our local store order in this set for us as Army Painter isn’t carried normally in the city where we live. So hopefully they can do the same with the singulars.

      You’re very welcome we hope you find it as helpful as we do. I wish we had done this sooner with our original speedpaints since I was looking up what they actually looked like almost every time I used them. I can’t speak for my partner on that part. Lol

      @@Princess_Quorra the purples look really pretty. I like pretty colors too! I look forward to seeing some painting videos using the speedpaint 2.0. Will you differentiate in the videos if you are using the original or new speedpaints?

    The Royal Blue, looked a little purply on the square on the label, but not so much on the painted bottle top.

    • @Princess_Quorra
      @Princess_Quorra  Год назад +2

      First of all Thank you for watching!
      It does! On the label of the Royal robes it definitely looks a bit more purply. I was just happy that the label looked like a different tone of blue altogether while not being just lighter or darker. So I was happy that it came out to be any sort of different blue😂. I think the periwinkle purple to be more of a purply blue while still being close to the same value as the Royal robes.
      This is kind of the whole reason I did this is because the labels aren’t really accurate to what they look like. I found with the original paints I was always looking up what they looked like so I did it with those and I knew it would be the same with these.

    only issue i got rly is that its hard to cover smooth surfases evenly. and glittering loot is a better gold color tho. other then this i love the speed you can paint with. im still experimenting with drybrushing over it after. hole other technique to paint with then tradisionally

    • @Princess_Quorra
      @Princess_Quorra  Год назад +1

      The metallics aren’t great in my opinion. We do love the speedpaints in general though. Dry brushing is definitely a different technique than other painting!

  • @timniederkorn5825

    So, after painting those caps...did you varnish/seal them so the paint would not rub off during use?

    • @Princess_Quorra
      @Princess_Quorra  Год назад +2

      We have varnished the original speedpaint bottles which we did the same thing too but not these ones yet. We haven’t had the chance. Things have been a bit hectic. But we haven’t noticed that the paint has rubbed off during use on either the original or the 2.0. But we haven’t heavily used them either yet. We didn’t varnish the original right away either.

  • @SRobi994
    @SRobi994 Год назад +2

    Is there a brand or color you like more?

    • @Princess_Quorra
      @Princess_Quorra  Год назад +2

      For brands we’ve stuck with mostly army painter but we’ve tried some of the citadel paints and shades. We do use the citadel spray primer quite often. It is what we used in this video. We’ve also used some of the Vallejo paints and surface primer. The Vallejo primer is what we use for airbrush priming which we haven’t shown on video because we don’t have a good way to video it but we have used airbrush primed minis in some of the videos.
      We also occasionally use cheap grey or white paint for slapchopping because it doesn’t affect the outcome and you don’t really need a quality paint so we don’t use an expensive paint when a cheap one does the same thing.
      Overall we definitely have the largest number of army painter.

    Why are you showing SpeedPaints v1.0 mixed with v2.0??? no sense...

    • @Princess_Quorra
      @Princess_Quorra  Год назад

      Hi, Thanks for stopping by and for your question. I’m happy to answer and hopefully clarify for you.
      There aren’t any speedpaint 1.0 mixed in with the speedpaint 2.0. There are the 4 colours that were in the original speedpaint mega set that are also in the 2.0 mega set. (Slaughter red, magic blue, orc skin, grim black)
      Many of our 2.0 bottles had their first print labels (which didn’t say 2.0 or the practical naming on them) which is why they may look like the original speedpaint. There was only 1 tray that came with updated labels. We had ordered ours ahead of times so we received it when they first came out. I assure you there are no speedpaints from the originals in this video. The 4 colours that they put into 2.0 mega set actually all have the 2.0 label on them as they were in the one tray with updated labels.
      I did a separate video with all the speedpaints 1.0.
      Let me know if this clarifies it for you. If not hopefully I can clear up any further confusion.

    Sorry to be the one saying this, But half the video is you guys paintin the bottlecaps with the rest af it showing how great you did that....
    My experience is that the paint will not look like that on any mini. By painting the caps, we get an idea of how it MIGHT look, nothing more.
    Also, the voiceover is as boooooring as it can be. .....I did not know I would be sleepy from watching a video on a subject I like!

    • @Princess_Quorra
      @Princess_Quorra  Год назад +4

      If by Half you meant 1 mins and 10 secs then yes we did paint the bottle caps for that long. I was also the first to admit that I didn’t do a great paint job on some of them.
      We did this with the original speedpaints and the colours were the same on the bottle tops as they were on the minis.
      So far that has proven true with the speedpaint 2.0 for us. If we painted 49 minis you would get the same result since material,texture, etc of your minis compared to ours would also be different. The colours can of course look slightly different depending on what you kind of primer you use, what colour your painting over top of, etc as well.
      Either way we think it definitely gives a better idea of what the colour looks like than the bottle does or the box and find it helpful for selecting colours especially now that we’ve got 73 to choose from.
      The voiceover isn’t voiceover. It’s just a conversation about paint. It’s meant to show off what the different colours are that come in the mega set and what they look like over top of spray can white primer and my opinion on the colours. It has also helped people decide if this is the right set for them.

    • @Ameliathebrave

      I personally really liked the start and how they included making the pizza box(or in this video improving it since they made it in video 1) and the painting so you know the tops are the same paint amount wise. I also really liked that they tried something different that didn’t work for priming and included that. Makes them more human and makes me feel better about being new to painting and making mistakes and trying new things. I’ve started painting my bottle tops on the paints I’ve got to better be able to tell what colors they are

    • @Princess_Quorra
      @Princess_Quorra  Год назад +3

      Thanks for the comment. We thought about leaving the failed method out but thought you know what we’re human we tried something and it didn’t work. There is no shame in showing that. Mistakes happen all the time too and one of us is very new to painting. I hope you like having the bottles painted.
