Your oldest son is so adorable helping carry the water bottles. He is so cute - picking some white flower for you. Didn’t quite catch his name - Vladimir or Radimir? Glad the water supplier is nearby.
The red flower is annato or achiote. You can grind the seeds to make a powder and use it as food color in any dish you wish to add it to like stew, etc. It’s not spicy at all. I have seen others cook the seeds with oil to release the red-orange color.

The Red one looks rambutan is the Atsueti (Annatto in English) that’s not poisonous that’s the one we colored our Kari-Kari. That is our equivalent to Zaffron. Here in Kuwait sometimes if we don’t have saffron, We used Atsueti or Annatto for some of our dishes.

I love Radomir...such a good and loving boy😊. The fruit/flower that looks like rambutan is called achuete. If you open it, it has some red seeds inside which you can use for cooking to make dishes appear red or orange color
Oh, I think people use it for make a colour for tuba. Am I right?
Yes, sh opened that that time, and it was really bright red colour😊
Not so sure if they use it with tuba...but maybe because tuba sometimes is brownish in color in some barangay.
But achuete is used in some marinades like adobo and also in grilling some meats like chicken and pork to make them more brown@@Kseniasvibe
