Quick correction, you were right when you said you don't need faf gear to GET to end game, but the statement that most of the end game players at the top of the leaderboards mostly only farm Kronos is not true. Tyranny is one of the most used sets in pvp, light is completely necessary in top tier holobattle and rta, thunder is used on any dps that doesn't scale off atk, astral is a staple for several meta espers. Really the only team comps you can get away with only heavily farming Kronos for are cleaves, which are not the most effective comps without absolutely broken stats lol. And as far as pve, most of the global leaderboard in spire (particularly for deso) is using ocean and astral rather than wind. To the point where I had a moment the other day when tuning Shadowfire when it hit me after like 2 hours of testing moving ocean pieces around that I have a perfectly good wind set I could've been using so I could put my whole fastest ocean set on one esper 😅
Everything else though is fantastic advice, isolating Kronos/Shadowfire is the way to get to end game. Tbh you don't really need to farm the other two almost at all until you're already at end game, you can kinda get enough relics of those sets from sentinel and fusion! Getting a good base of war and wind gear is HUUUUUGE for the versatility of your roster though, and that requires....so much quality time with Kronos🤣
My rule in farming in relics depends on the Esper I want to build/upgrade until I am satisfied with the result. Same with Deso.

This is huge. I took a moment to stop last week and really think about what I needed most, and decided Leora was the one I needed to have a good set for first, and spent 5 days on just Kronos. The progress I was able to make in those 5 days was a little less over all, but the condensed impact it had was so much better than if I was trying to push 5-6 different folks and their gear.
Its a bit overwhelming priorities are important
Im farming Everett resos right now and im working at each Desolate boss one at a time farming all the crystals I need and then ill max res him in one go. Its easier because I dont have all the relics needed to make a team for each that will do well so I do one at a time so im not constantly swapping relics.
