I feel you and I am with you. Really it all depends on the person but for me today's arcade style games would be harder for me to master because there are so many more things to them versus the simple video games of the past.

Even these later years have seen a huge rise in the games that everyone wanted yet weren't usually delivered by the AAA studios. The biggest ones by the biggest companies - Mario, Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Sonic, Rayman, Doom, -Cash Banooca- Crash Bandicoot, -Simon the Door- Spyro the Dragon, Resident Evil... even really small icons of yore, like Kao the Kangaroo and Psychonauts! And I haven't even touched upon the indie game developers! They're the ones making the games everyone wants, and even the ones you don't know yet that you want until you start playing them! Not just fanmade games, like Rayman Redemption, the definitive way to play the original PS1 game, but completely original IPs too! Even romhacks and mods of already existing games, there are metric tons of those, for many of the biggest and most adored games in history! And the Retro scene has moved away from the typical 8-bit 2D games to the 16-bit era of gaming, and especially the early 3D games of the N64 and PS1 era. There's truly games for everyone, especially nowadays, you just gotta know where to look.

i came into 8-4 big with fireballs and when I beat it i was small!!! I tried to fight Koopa with all I had and those hammers got to me....I was short of breath, tired, mentally exhausted and excited. Just when I thought I was gonna die koopa jumped and I ran as fast as i could under him and got to the axe; once I did it I couldn't believe it...I BEAT KOOPA KING; I BEAT SUPER MARIO BROTHERS!!! I cheered my butt off; I remember it being a fri or sat night because it was way past my bedtime, so it had to be a weekend

i came into 8-4 big with fireballs and when I beat it i was small!!! I tried to fight Koopa with all I had and those hammers got to me....I was short of breath, tired, mentally exhausted and excited. Just when I thought I was gonna die koopa jumped and I ran as fast as i could under him and got to the axe; once I did it I couldn't believe it...I BEAT KOOPA KING; I BEAT SUPER MARIO BROTHERS!!! I cheered my butt off; I remember it being a fri or sat night because it was way past my bedtime, so it had to be a weekend
