The Onyx sounds very flute-like. My Carbony low D had the same wall design. It has a strong bell note. My Carbony Mezzo G has the same wall design but it's a much softer blower.
Very enjoyable comparison. I enjoy the single piece Dixon as well, the tone and vibration are soothing.
