Thank you so much Leanne, I was looking for a less expensive way to do a corsage for my 8 year old Granddaughter for her father daughter Valentines day dance next week. Thank you again... this is so kind of you to do this!

Great question.... The corsage could be packaged either way. The key would be the size of the box and the packaging. If you box the corsage with the bracelet curled, package it as you would a ring, making sure that the flowers face up and look beautiful. If you box the corsage with the bracelet flat, be sure to demonstrate to the recipient how the bracelet works. You don't want an "accidental' slap snap.....
So very glad you enjoyed this show, Hummer! Thank you very much for such kind praise, and we really hope you will join us again soon for floral design with Leanne.

How soon do you make the corsage with all the flowers before the event ? Do I make them the day of or a few days before? How long can flowers last in the flower cooler before you can’t use them anymore?
Those are excellent questions, Aubrey Rose! We generally make our corsages one to two days ahead of the event, but not more than that so they stay fresh and beautiful. As for how long can flowers last in the cooler, it really depends on what the life span is for that particular flower, and the care and handling that happened when the flowers arrived on-site. Generally if you give your flowers a fresh cut and let them rest in water and flower food for several hours (or even overnight), they will hydrate fully and will last longer as a result. As we mentioned earlier, different flowers like different types of treatment. For example, hydrangeas are thirsty flowers and we dip them in alum after cutting them to help them drink more water. Another example are dahlias, which like very hot water for processing. Yet another example are roses, which can be dipped in Quick Dip after cutting and them placed immediately in a bucket of water. Still another example are tropical flowers, most of which don't like the cooler as it is too chilly for them. So it is important to know the proper type of care and handling that your chosen flowers require. We do have a playlist with information about flowers to wear pieces and that may help you too. You can find it here: ruclips.net/p/PLJbJF6YZAYyJR_kKJA8x2l0lPTTwg30My Thank you very much for taking time to watch our show. We hope you will stop by again soon and we wish you the very best in all that you do!
So happy to hear that you found what you needed, Valerie! Thank you so much for watching our show, and we look forward to having you join us again soon for more trends in wearable flowers.
Thank you for all this fun, exciting and yet basic lessons! You are an inspiration! Question: How does one 'lay" the slap wrist bracelet corsage in the container to present? Do you lay it out flat or let is curl up with the flowers on their side? Confused... Thanks so much!
That's an excellent question and we hope you saw our earlier reply about packaging the wrist corsage, Sherry! Thanks very much for watching our show, and we look forward to seeing you again. Have fun with flowers in the meantime!

I see this was back in 2013 and I am just now seeing this and love your technique and want to make these for my sons wedding. Where do you find the snap bracelets and do you have to use the oasis glue or will hot glue work? Thank you so much for your video
Those are great questions, Pat, and hopefully this video will aid you in creating some beautiful wrist corsages for your son's wedding. Oasis cold glue is probably a better choice than hot glue in terms of holding things in place, especially if they have to go into the cooler. We have the wrap wristlets available on our website here if you are interested: www.floraldesigninstitute.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4_30&products_id=309 Thank you so much for watching our show and we hope that you will join us again. That's an important question, Mm M, and we appreciate you asking it! We suggest using OASIS floral adhesive cold glue, and always apply glue to glue, which means applying it on both sides. what is the little "tab" on the slap bracelet?
The tab is where the flowers are attached.
