Apples can even be grown in the southern Philippines in Davao del Sur, Mindanao with zero chill hours (latitude around 7 degrees above the equator). They are Fuji Apple and were featured by our local TV network here in the Philippines several months ago.
@@blackkennedy3966 I saw a RUclips video that a peach tree was grown here in the Philippines by placing the seed in the refrigerator to fake winter but I haven't seen any update of that video if the tree bears fruit because we don't have chill hours here.

I think the trick the Filipinos use is removing the leaves once it starts fruiting
