This may be Ennio Morricone’s most underrated score. And despite how schlocky the film was, Morricone always provided quality. May his memory live on for the ages. Rest In Peace.
@@jswin2084 After watching conan 1 and loving sandahl i just couldnt see her as a villain, its like other actors you get used to see them as good and you cant change that mental image. In one of the last frames of the final fight you can see the actress expression like why im doing this. In these movies you truly need a villain you grow to hate. That same problem happens with conan 2, there wasnt a truly villain here it was more like a mess and betrayal. And of course that dated monster at the end.
@@LtCommanderTato I fell deeply in love with Sandahl B. I dated a woman who had the same eyes, and lost her to sickness. This might be personal for RUclips. Some times when I watch Conan the barbarian, I see her shadow in Sandahl's face. The scene when Conan lights the pyre makes me very sad. Cheers to you. You have fine taste in women and music my friend.
Gal Gadott could pull off a red sonja reboot. Kinda funny how SJW talk about not having enough strong female characters in movies. Like you said. BOTH characters were total bad asses! :)
Marvel would have to approve it. Also, judging by the fact she’s a Redhead, they may make her woke or black. No offense or trying to be racist but movies or shows so far with Redheads become dark skinned. Starfire from Teen Titans, Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Batgirl etc.
Does anyone else envision themselves riding on horseback through grassy meadows whilst listening to this music with their luscious locks blowing in the wind.
7:30 in, THIS is what I clicked for… I remember watching this with my dad growing up, I was born in 86 and I always liked that part of this song, so calming and soothing and melodic, bravo Ennio… Rest In Peace
You have to wait until 2:24 to get a feel for just how good this soundtrack is. Then again at 6:02 the final track is beautiful and haunting. The trumpet there is gorgeous.
7:23 was my favorite part. Really wish Hollywood would bring back this amazing heroine from the books/comics to the screen or maybe even a Netflix original series.
I too wish that would happen but I don't think Red Sonja would be suitable to nowadays audiences. In order to greenlight this projetc they would have to change the character almost entirely and I don't think that would please older fans, and don't think that would be enough to bring new fans. We'll have to wait a little more until this sanitized-tentpole--family-pleasing franchise trend fades.
A great provoking masterpiece of music that even may conquer your mind and spirit; not anymore these days ........not anymore talens like Morricone.....
For Real this movie was great compare to the Hercules and Xena shows back in the 90s. I was probably 9 or 10 when I saw this. I'm surprised that this was a box office bomb back then cause I loved it!
Ennio Morricone was downright AWESOME in making the musical scores for such a wonderful but unappreciated movie Red Sonja. My favorite is the musical score in the ending credits named "Love Theme". Additionally, the movie was great. It was meant to be a great family movie. Can't wait for the new verson who I believe Red Sonja will be played by Rose McGowyn from the old Charmed television show.
nicely put man! I've been a fan of this film for years too. first saw it as a kid with my dad and a bag of sweeties! I got bullied a lot for being a red head, still do, so i get a lot of strength and confidence from this film. Long live the legend!
I think the closest fantasy film of recent years that came close to capturing the spirit of action combined with a great score was The 13th Warrior. It's so true, Whenever someone says what's your fave sword and sorcery films, most times the reply will be "Conan!" :o)
Just caught the ending on HBO and immediately came to youtube for the last music track. Good Point moviee5, it's very beautiful. Ennio Morricone is my hero.
As rubbish as this film admittedly is, it was one of my favourite childhood films to watch with my dad, and we knew it off by heart. Now I'm in my 30s and my dad sadly died this summer, and hearing this soundtrack (especially the song at around 6 minutes) fills me with the strangest mixture of sadness and happiness.
+Gabriel A. but my point is, i dont enjoy those games and they are not built around high fantasy, they are grimdark and rely on cheap deaths and memorization of enemy layout like a megaman game
+Gabriel A. skyrim is barely high fantasy, dark souls is not, i have played both, i like neither. skyrim isnt very good in general, dark souls is grimdark and set up the same as megaman with memorization instead of balanced combat the like of a platinum game or even a skyrim type rpg. yes, it is beatable once you remember exactly where each and every monster is, which is why they have that "blood stain" mechanic. its basically monster hunter, but the monsters damage per attack is turned up to 11 and they're hidden around corners, so they are impossible to see on approach. if you enjoy the gameplay thats fine, but its not classic high fantasy with goblins and trolls and elven kingdoms, and i dont enjoy the gameplay maybe ill try the conan mmo, or dragon's dogma if i can find a copy
@@gilibran You GENUINELY think Red Sonja is a good film?? What are your other favourite films? The Room and Scooby Doo? I loved this film when I was about 8, but that's because most children are stupid and I was no exception. It is fun nostalgia but come on, it's bad.
