    Is the plant you bought from Cornwall a Roldana?

      That’s the one, it’s either petasites or cristobalensis, I need to check, definitely want to grow it next year

      @@montongarden purple underside of the leaves it’s Cristobalensis.

      @@TropicalGlos I need to check tonight, it was an impulse purchase, possible from Hardy exotics. I assume these are grown from seed, or can you take cuttings?

      @@montongarden yes easy from cuttings. Get those secateurs out.

      Thanks, I should of looked it up beforehand as I had it in a message I got from sunk island garden centre, that’s where I got it from
      Did a load of cuttings last night!

      @@montongarden George's video at Mark Goodlad's garden shows his Strobilanthes, which is also from Sunk Island, but named S. lactatus 'Brazilian Shield'. Great plants whatever - mine are about 1m tall now.

      @@nickyfenton6538 I do have another one which is much taller, with a purple leaf! I saved all the pot labels, will check tonight
      Sunk island is well worth a visit, they seem to always produce a few gems

      @@montongarden maybe S. dyeriana? A beautiful plant. Sunk Island is a bit far from us in Oxford - shame.
