i watch this from start to finish lol because i also have this bike, but i dont have the 11 6 shock, but probably will soon but will also get a Marzocchi coil fork as well to match. i'm not feeling the air suspension at the moment unless i'm going through really bumpy stuff. This is probably also my dream build sb130 but not sure about the carbon santa cruz wheels. I cheaped out a bit and went with the xt group set. wish i had the saint brakes tho
I love all the bikes parts and the cool aspects of putting it together, but for me talking about parts and why choose parts options would be more fun to watch than of classical music and a non-verbal trending themes.
Nice build, i have a 2019 RM Instinct C-90 BC edition with some nice carbon hoops, carbon bars and Stamp-11 pedals, thinking of the 10-52 AXS now, not an inexpensive groupset though
Killer video - amazing build and attention to detail. I am considering a Push ElevenSix on my SB130, would love some input as to how this bad boy rides.
Whoa new video! Nice build Erik. Funny all the bike build videos on RUclips have this kind of echoing soundtrack. My hardtail and commuter are built at Summit Bicycle. Wasn’t cheap but custom service is top notch.
Great to watch and great work but why didn't the customer specify frame protection, the little things can make a huge difference when spending this amount of money.
My fox36 came with enough grease to service them about half dozen times. The air spring was stuck up in the stansion could not pull it down had to remove top cap and retaining ring wrap a rag round it came off with a loud pop..
Great dream build mtb video's. Could you put the all part of this custom bike in the next dream build in the description ? It's very helpful for me or the others if they want to upgrade their mtb ? Thank you 🤗😁
In the description we detailed that one thing we did was change the amount of travel in the fork. That requires a rebuild while we swap out the air spring in the left leg.
Nice bike, but what’s with never using a torque wrench? I get using feel but at a professional shop a torque wrench should be used. The cranks need to be torqued to spec, the center lock locking ring, the cassette can be by feel cause you just hammer that down, but also the lock nuts on the lowers did not get torqued which is bad cause the 10mm nut is like 5-6nm and the 15mm is like 16.9nm that’s a huge difference. The shock linkage bolts also weren’t torqued which is important, the smaller inside bolt has a lower torque than the main bigger bolt. There was no grease on the spindle and it looked like just the factory grease where the drive side crank attaches which honestly isn’t enough, no grease on the thru axles either. Just a little touch that can prevent rust or seizing, I’ve seen it so many times and on a bike like this it’s a nice touch. For shifting you didn’t demonstrate the b-gap adjustment shimano has on their 12sp r ders which is a really cool feature. Hopefully it was adjusted off camera but b-gap is essential for all 12sp to run as best as possible. There was a lot of grinding when going into the low gear which makes me think that the b-gap needs to be set. It’s not set on a new der cause it’s supposed to be set at sag when the rider is on the bike, but you can set shimanos without the rider just by using the indicator on the back of the derailleur cage near the upper pulley wheel. When installing shimano brakes just doing a lever bleed where you attach the bleed cup with fresh mineral oil and then pump the lever will make the brakes feel even better. Air always gets in and you lose fluid whenever you cut the hoses and putting the bleed cup on the lever and pulling the lever when the wheels are on will firm them up and get rid of the residual air bubbles. Also carbon paste on the seat post is helpful especially if the rider is tall and heavy. The taping job at the end was rough, that’s a lot of air trapped under there. I know it’s probably ok but just pulling the tape tighter would have smoothed it out. I know I sound pretentious but I work on high end bikes like this daily and these little touches go a long way in showing the customers attention to detail and that extra level of care a 10k warrants. The main this is the lack of a torque wrench, not using one on the linkage bolts would concern me. I always go and double check the torques on the linkage bolts on new full sus bikes because some brands (trek, and cannondale…) like to under torque their bolts from the factory. Again just minor details, except for the torque wrench. And the shimano lever bleed, I’m sure you guys know what it is just give it a shot on new brakes, it can make a world of difference.

I bought a trek marlin 5 frame from summit. I was wondering what brand headset it has on it. Can't find it any where on the web. I run different forks for different areas I ride. That why I'm asking. Love building bikes myself.👍
Nice build. just one question, why the coil and increase in fork travel on an sb130? Why not go to a different model? I could just be missing something here though?
He bought the frame and the travel is the same as on the standard lunch ride spec. It was a fork we already had in stock so we converted it for him as it was only a difference of 10mm. Just a new air shaft. The coil makes the bike ride different than an air shock and it’s truly something you have to experience to understand. Especially when it’s something as refined as the Push 11.6 shock
@@summitbicycles that's great, I always thought coils were more reserved for longer travel bikes with more aggressive riding. But I suppose if it put's a smile on your face who can be the judge of that. Keep up the good work.

Awesome build man. That is 1 expensive rear shock lol. I almost went with saints. I ended up getting Shimano zee. They are great once I broke them in.
Right on, Zee brakes are an excellent less expensive alternative to Saints. The shock is expensive but worth it!
@@summitbicycles so true man. I have Shimano xtr trail brakes on my hardtail. Holy sh*t do they stop on a dime. Love it though lol.

what a beautiful build 🤩 what pin did you use in the brake hose cause those from shimano you cannot thread them into the hose

excelente trabajo e impecable ... un hermoso modelo y muy buenas terminaciones!
Was always thinking that you should press in a Pressfit BB dry and without greasing it?!
You took the fork apart just to apply some more grease...?!
Probably installed a new air spring to lower the travel of the fork, He was greasing the new air piston, not the one that came out.
Fox Forks come with too much grease on the air piston, so he took some off the piston and apply it to the lower seal. Thus the performance improves.

That is a dream build. Beautiful bike and video!

AWESOME VIDEO !

Thanks
💯 my dream build. NO SRAM!
i love all these dream build videos but can we do one with 80s workout music instead of world pan flute music?
I'll see what we can do. That would be pretty awesome.
Maybe the mechanic could wear some appropriate gear, spandex longs and some matching flouro leg warmers so we can really get in the mood. hahahaaa
Are they new Fox 36? I’m curious as to why you did a lower leg service if it’s a new fork? Did you swap out the internals? Fit to Grip?
It was a travel change on the fork not an internals swap
At 13:58, why did you add the ~2.5mm spacer for a PF92/24 Chris King BB and Shimano Crank? I did not think a spacer was required.
Wow..maybe someday there is somebody could willing to give me a bike like that...
Very nice video. Erik, what's the red multitool that you're using to tighten the allen keys?
A preset torque wrench (4 or 5nm i guess)
correct
I fell asleep thank you, I now have video to go to sleep to
Good night!

ESPECIALLY on a carbon frame...
Carbon paste not grease in a carbon frame.
